Son of the late Mr Kipsugut Rugut, Mrs Priscah Rugut and Dorcas Rugut of Kimolwet Village, Nandi County.

Beloved husband of Elizabeth Sugut. Loving father of Sharlet Jepkorir, Ivan Kimutai, Sharleen Jepchirchir and Rhouze Jepkoech.

Brother of Oprah Kosgei, the late Solomon Rugut, Jane Lel, Truphena Chepsiror, John Sugut (Kenya Airways), Susana Keino, Jacobeth Sugut, Wilson Sugut, Kennedy Sugut and Daniel Sugut. Son-in-law of the late Johab Rotich and Magdaline Rotich. Brother in-law of Abel, Paul, Haron, John, Charles, Constantine, Hellen, Elizabeth, Florah, Joyce, Rose, Alice, Roseline, Caroline, and Jackline. Cousin, Uncle and Grandfather of many.

The cortege leaves Samaritan Mortuary, Kapsabet on 12/05/2020 at 1000 hours for burial on 13/05/2020 at his home Kapkeringon Village, Chepkoyo Sub Location in Nandi County.

We humbly accept God’s will as we announce the recent passing on of our beloved sister Eunice Gakenia Gitahi after a long battle with cancer.

Eunice was a cheerful woman that loved the Lord deeply and continues to remind us of God’s love for us. Her middle name – Gakenia means Joy in Kikuyu and her personality and character exuded this. She filled the room with joy and laughter and reminded us of the light of life. She was well known for her loving heart and generous Spirit.

She has resided in Seattle, Washington, for many years with her family where she was an impactful part of the Kenyan community, viewed as an Aunt to the overall community. Many will miss her loving spirit and feel her loss deeply.

Eunice Gakenia (JoyJoy) Gitahi was the beloved wife to Joseph Gitahi Wachira and mother to Dan Mbichire, Paul Wachira, Joan Wangui, and Nick Wanyeki.

She was the loving daughter to Esther Mbichire and the late Duncan Mbichire and a wonderful sister to Anne Wairimu, Bether Wambui, Benson Mukiha, Peter Muthiga, George Gichina, Samuel Wachira, Margaret Njoki, Jimmy Njeru, and the late Stanley Wanjau and Faith Nyawira.

This fund will help ensure our dear Sister, Mother, and family to Eunice “JoyJoy” have a proper send-off. It will help with the remaining medical costs and funeral costs. Any donation would be greatly appreciated.

Cousin of the late Abraham Igobwa, Tabitha and Ruth. Brother in law of Reuben Shagwila, Timothy Lipeya, Ben Shinali, Solomon Shavola, Fred Lugalia, Rosemary Lugalia, Keight Lugalia and Kalava Lugalia.

Cortege leaves Star Annex Funeral Home in Kisumu on Tuesday 12th May 2020 and burial will take place on Wednesday 13th May 2020 at his residence at Mukumu Shikangania village.

A cry for help from Seattle to help in the unfortunate situation about a Kenyan lady, Phoebe Sande, who was new to the area and has just died. kindly read message below and reach out to these sisters who have no idea what to do.
Its sad news about one of us Phoebe Sande who passed away. She was very new here in the Seattle area. She came in February this year, landed in Boston, stayed there for three months before coming to Seattle.
She was hosted by Susan Kibaya and  Rose Chanzu in Kent. She got ill and was admitted at Auburn Multicare where she passed away today  (3rd May, 2020) at around 5.25 pm. The hospital  called  and confirmed to the room mates that the body should be cleared  by tomorrow they need our urgent help.
Please please how can we help them? Does anybody have an idea of how to help the situation?
