It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the sudden death of Eugene Kihara Mathanjuki (Southlands Langata) former student of Kabete Technical Polytechnic which occurred on Sunday, 28th February 2020 through a tragic road accident.

Beloved Son of Anne Wairimu. Brother of Kaylay Omuhida and Tristan Mathanjuki Omuhida. Grandson of Amb. P.K Mathanjuki and Mary Wangechi Mathanjuki Both of Southlands Estate Nairobi. Nephew of Jean Kihara (Garbage Mania) and Mary Wanjau, Susan Kihara, Dr. Wahito Kihara (Ministry of Medical Services) and Kyalo Muya, Joseph Mathanjuki and Yenenesh Melaku. Cousin of Terry Mary Wangechi Kihara, Taylor, Christian, Zarine, Zurielle, Loza and Hemen Among Others and a dear Friend to many.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at his Grandfathers home, Southlands Estate Langata and The Holy Family Basilica Nairobi at 5.30PM for prayers and funeral arrangements.

A mini-fundraiser to offset Hospital bill and funeral expenses will be held on Wednesday 4th March 2020 at the Holy family Basilica from 5.30pm.

Burial details will be announced later.

Son of the late Samson Kibui and the late Tabitha Wanjiku Kibui. Brother of the late Kamau Kibui, Peter Ruoro, Nyaguthii Kiragu, Margaret Gathoni, Wanjugu Kibui, Wanjiru Kibui and Wangari Kibui.

Loving Husband of Virginia Nduta Kibunja. Beloved Father of Vienna Suzanne Wanjiku (UK), Grace Wanjiru (UK), Emma Nyaguthii (UK) and Vienna Waithera. Father-in-law of Martin Charagu (UK), Joshua Mathenge (UK) and George Gitau. Grandfather of Diana Nduta (UK), Rex Kibunja (UK), Jay Charagu (UK), Myles Mathenge (UK) and Kian Kibunja (UK).

Family and friends are meeting every day at his home in Kandisi, Rimpa Estate Ongata Rongai from 6.00 pm.

The cortege leaves Umash Funeral Home, Mbagathi on Thursday, 5th March, 2020 at 8.30am and proceeds to his home for the funeral service at 10.30 am. He will hereafter be laid to rest at his home.

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Dada Clarice Plister Oneya which occurred on February 17th, 2020 after a long, bravely born battle with illness. She is the former pastor of Church of God of Prophesy Ndayi Church.

Loving wife of the late Mzee Zachary Ochieng Ragen Nyapere of Ndayi Village, Ojwando ‘A’ Sublocation, Central Alego location. Daughter of the late Mzee Joseph Otieno Oneya and Doris Peres Anyango of Nyamninia village, Yala Gem. Sister of the late foram Odeny, the late Monica Ajode, the late Paul Owino, the late Alice Olonde and Mama Makrine Oneya Onege of Sakwa Wichlum. Mother of the late Mwalimu George Owitchra, Nahashion Ochieng formerly of Kenya National Bureau of Statistics, the late Florence Agutu, Peter Ochieng of Kenya National Bureau of Statistics, the late Caren Adhiambo, the late Lilian Awuor, Jeremy Otieno and Molly Anyango. Sister-in-law of Paul Kut Ragen and Mother in-law of the late Eric Owuor, the late Alfred Opindo, Andrew Juma, Beatrice Wasonga, Caroline Atieno and Peninah Mwelu.

Grandmother of Kennedy Omondi, Viola Achieng, Derrick Owino, Faith Oneya, Cynthia Owuor, Beryl Achieng, Phobill Otieno, Wystney Ndunge, Ronwell Hawi and others. Great-grandmother of many. Aunt of Anna Massella Omolo, Olonde Musango, Washington Ajode, Robert, Lilian, Dorice Peres, Nelly, Makrin Otieno, Caleb. Clarice Oneya Njiro, Peninah, Teressa Awino of Garsen among others. Co-wife of Jenifer Adipo. Sister in-law of Kwamboka, Onchana, the late Abel, the late Nyabwengi, Nyangaresi, Ogendi, Grace, the late Nyanduko and Esther.

The body is at Siaya District Hospital. The cortege leave the hospital on March 6th followed by a church service at her home and burial on 7th March 2020 at her home in Ndayi village, Ojwando ‘A’ Sub-location.

Loving wife of Boniface Ndiki Munyithya, Loving mother of her two children Wayne Musau and Wendy Ndewa. Daughter of Moses and Rose Musau, Sister of the late Mueni, Mwendo, Mwaka, Nthambi, Mbithe, Kaloosya, Kala and Kyalo. Daughter-in-law of Francis and Susan Nguli, Sister in law of Mumbi, Mbui, Mukandi, the late Fundi Mwathi, Mali, Munyoki, Mwende and Kavutha.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at Garden Square for funeral arrangements. Harambee to be held on Thursday 5th February 2020 at Garden Square.

There will be a requiem mass on Wednesday at 3.00pm at the St. Joseph Catholic Church Jericho. The body leaves KU Funeral Home for burial on 7th March 2020 in Kitui County, Mwingi Central Sub County, Mui Ward – Munyuni Village.

Brother of Rosemary Waithaka (Nairobi), Teresia Wambui (Namanga Mixed),the late Daniel Gathanwa, Maria Wamuyu (formerly of UNICEF), Simon Wanyaga (Nairobi) Michael Mbora (Juja) and John Wachania ((EGPAF) Brother-in-law of Janice Ngugi and Timothy Gatobu of Meru. He was an uncle of many.

The cortege will leave St. Benedict Hospital Funeral Home Nyahururu on Friday bth March 2020 at 8.30 a.m. for a funeral service at the St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church – Munanda and burial at the family home in Nyahururu.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily in Nyahururu, Meru (Kenya Power Offices at 5.30pm) and in Nairobi (Cardinal Otunga Plaza 5th Floor, St. Rita Room at 5.30pm).

Mother of Gladys (KIST), Alice (AIC Kimong), Stellah (Nyakiambi Pri.), Rose (Torongo Girls), Catherine (Eshibeye Pri.), Mary (CBK), Elizabeth Mukhobola Pri), Simon (Co-opbank), Sabina (KAA), Joseph (KDF) and Moses. Daughter In-law to the late Sangara and late Kemuma. Sister in-law to Kwamboka, Onchana, late Abel, late Nyabwengi, Nyangaresi, Ogendi, Grace, late Nyanduko and Esther. She has left behind 22 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Cortege leaves Umash Funeral Home in Nakuru on Wednesday 4th at 2.00p.m and proceed to her home in Mang Village Rongai Sub-County, Nakuru County for an overnight Vigil.

Burial will be held on Thursday 5th March 2020 at the same venue.

Mother of Jane Nyambura (USA), Lynus Mwangi, Jeremiah Karuga (Canada), David Kamau, Hannah Wanjiru, Rachel Kabura (UON) and Mary Waruiru. Mother-in-law of Henry Njuguna (USA), Jane Njeri, Gladys Muthoni (Canada), Rachel Wanjiru, Raphael Mwangi, David lrungu and the late Joseph Kahura. Grandmother of Eva, Peter, Sheila, Wangechi, Sharlene, Brian, Agneta, Melvin, Derek, Ndumbu, Daphne and Alex. Great grandmother of Nyambura, Travis, Ivy, Wambui and Wanjiru.

Meetings are being held at Ambassadeur Hotel, her Kirogo home and her son’s home at Kiamumbi.

The cortege leaves Montezuma Monalissa Funeral Home (Thika road — Kabati) on Thursday, 5th March 2020 at 8.00 a.m. for funeral service at ACK St. Peter’s Church, Kirogo at 10.00 a.m. Thereafter the body will be laid to rest at her Kirogo home.

Son of George K’Okoth of Total Kenya Plc and Dorothy Akumu of Safaricom Plc. Brother of Peter Mbeke, Terry Hawi K’Okoth and Tatyanna Pendo. Paternal Grandson of the Late James Okoth and the late mama Margaret Aoko of Alego Hawinga and maternal Grandson of the late Samuel Abogi Akumu and the late mama Teresa Akumu of Asembo. Kanyigoro Waringa. Nephew of Peres Atieno, Jenipher Juma, Paul K’Okoth, Sylvester K’Okoth, Mildred Akumu, Elizabeth Tarero, Anthony Mogi, and Peter Ojukwu. He was a loving cousin and friend to many.

We shall have a memorial mass on the 4th of March 2020 at Holy Trinity Kileleshwa at 10.am.

The cortege leaves Aga Khan Hospital Mortuary Kisumu on Friday, 6th February, 2020 at 9am followed by a requiem mass at St Joseph, Milimani at 10 am.

Burial service will be in Hawinga, Alego Kaugagi on 7th March 2020 starting from 9 am.

Sister of; Philip Mbithi, Kamene Mutuku, Rose Wayua and the late Mbuli, Yula Musili, Ngii Malile and Daniel Kitolo. She was mother to; Serah Mumbua, Richard Musembi,Tabitha Zacharia of Komarock Housing Co-op Society Ltd, Peter Mumo, Norah Kyale (Director Nocha Catering Ltd), Dancan Mutua, Susan Wambua and the late Ndonga, Mutunga and Ruth Mwikali. Mother-in-law to; Rabecca Musembi, Jemimah Mumo, Josephine Mutua, Zacharia Musyoki, Charles Kyale, Joseph Wambua and the late Regina Wanza.

Son of the late Mwakiro wa Kimbichi and the late Kitawa Mwakiro. Husband of the late Clemence Charity Mwakiro, father of Andrew Mwakiro, Elizabeth Mwakiro (KAA), Isaac Mwangemi (Duty Free), Grace Mwakiro Karisa (formerly of Kenya Airways) and Lois Mwakiro Kalu (Gear Rail South Africa). Father-In-Law of Dorcas Wakisha Mwakiro, Florah Zae Mwangemi, Louis KarisaYaa (KCB HQs) and George Anderson Kalu (Media Monitoring Africa, South Africa). Grandfather of Clemence Makio Kalu (CJ), Grace Matesha, Bianca Makio Mwangemi, Christine Kadzo Karisa, Enock Enzi Mwangemi, TiaNuru Kalu, Makio Blessing and Thamani Jamie Kalu. Brother of the late John Mwawughanga, the late Addinah Waleghwa Mnyubi and the late Cainan Mwanyia.

Friends and relatives will be meeting at the All Saints Cathedral, Nairobi on 3rd March 2020 for a fundraising as from 5:00pm.

The funeral service will be held at the ACK Shigharo grounds on the 7th of March 2020, at 10:00 am and will be followed by the burial on the same day at his home in Mtukunyi, Shigharo, Taita Taveta County.
