To all our friends, colleagues, family, and well wishers who rallied around us upon the passing on to glory of Omogaka Mandi, our beloved daddy and husband. We greatly appreciate the many ways you came in to support us. It all went a very long way in strengthening and encouraging us as a family, and giving dad a befitting farewell. God bless you all! Representative of all you who played different roles, we express our deep appreciation to: Pastor Kabibi of Nairobi Chapel, Rev. N and Pst. B Ladokun of Global Harvest Church, Father David Kimani and the Jumia group of Our Lady of Visitation Jogoo Road, Church of God Kitale and Kima, Father Edward Nyakundi and parishioners of Nyamagwa Parish in Kisii, and New Life Sabbath School Temoyetta Molo, for all your spiritual encouragement; Mama Helen’s ‘keombe’ and (chama’ groups;) Dr Richard-Barasa of the Nairobi Hospital; Lee Funeral home; the organizing commit tees in Nairobi and Kisii for your dedication that saw all plans go smoothly; colleagues at Moi Referral Hospital, Carole Mandi Media Limited, Kamp and Prisk, Commercial Bank of Africa, Stanbic Kenya and Tanzania, and the management of Kiungani Academy Secondary, for your presence and support; Erastus Sorobi of Egesaa FM (for dedicating a week in his show discussing dad’s Ekegusii books; our many, many friends who walked this journey with us. Above all we thank the almighty God tor the gift He gave us in dad and for His promise to always walk with us.
