It is with deep sorrow and yet with a humble acceptance of God’s will that KIKO Welfare Society – Nairobi, Mwatungo Welfare Association, together with the Kyunguti family announce the death of their Patriarch, Mzee David Moto Kyunguti, which occurred on 10th November 2025.
Husband of Anna Mueni and father of Rev. John Musembi (A.I.C) and Pr. Dr. Janet. Musembi (A.I.C. Kalimani), the late Josiah Musyoki, Ruth Pius (Thatha) and Rev. Onesn-ws Kaua (H.O.I Mwatungo Primary and J.S), Rev. Abednego Muoki (Principal Kikuyuni Secondary) and Janet Muoki (H.O.I Kikesa Primary and J.S), Bishop Dr. Solomon Mumo (A.I.C.M) and Penninah Mumo (Thawabu Comprehensive School, Nairobi), Jemimah Mwikaii (Nairobi), Jedidah Ndunge (Deputy Principal Machakos T.T.I) and Patrick Kiiya (K.D.F), Judith Paul (Kithyoko) and Tr. Paul Mbaluka.
Brother of the late Daniel Muli, the late Sarah Muloko, Rabecca Kavesu, Naomi Mumbua, the late Isaac Kituku, the late Benjamin Ndambuki and Sammy Nzioki (Matungulu).
His grandchildren are Abednego Munyao (Cyber Thatha), Mirriam Munyao, Cornelius Muuo (Sandton Hotel-Nrb), Secondina Muuo (Stellar Physio Health and Wellness Center-Nrb), Abraham Katua (Twamakaa J.S), Faith Mwende (Masinde Muliro University), Nancy Mueni (Kinyaata J.S), Abigail Mueni (Bantu Africa Resort-Nyeri), Mark Musyoka (K.C.A University), David Muoka (Dedan Kimanthi University), Purity Mumo (U.O.N), Jeremiah Pius (Maseno University), Deborah Ndunge (Dedan Kimanthi University), Rehema Musyoka (Kabete National Polytechnic), the late Sharon, Prince Mumo (Man’gu High School), Blessings (Bishop Gatimu Girls), Mumo, Warren, Moto and Bethuel Baraka.
Great grandchildren are Favor Mutanu and Peace Wendo.
He was a co – parent in law of the late Katua Nzumbi and the late Naom Kasyoka, Kaua Maseki and the late Elizabeth Katilo, the late Philip Nekea and Mukina Nekea, the late Pr. Charles Maindi and Beth Mbuva, the late Kiiya Mbusya and Kamene Kiiya, the late Mbaluka Maindi and the late Luise Ngoto.
The cortege will leave K.U. Funeral Home on Wednesday 19th November 2025 at 6:30 am for the funeral service at his rural home in Mwatungo Village, Kithyoko Location, Masinga Sub County, Machakos County.
