It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden death of Mr Tony Abinayo Kigalu (Wa Rachel) formerly of Judiciary (Family Division) Milimani Law Courts Nairobi.

Son of the late Zaldon Kigalu and Rael Kigalu of Turi, Rafiki Farm-Molo. Beloved husband of Alice W Gathogo – Kigalu (Kiambu Level 4 Hospital). Dotting Dad of Rachel (Ray), Esther (Abby), Carol & Dennis Abinayo. Loving brother of Eddie & Martha (USA), Margaret & Francis, Mirriam & Mwangi, Kepha & Josphine, Joe & Wanjiku, Stella & the late Kamau, and Tabby. Loving uncle and grandfather of many.

Family and friends are meeting daily for prayers and burial arrangements at his Mburiria home Kiambu, PCEA Kiambu Town Church and Magomano Hotel, Nairobi from 5.30pm.

The cortege leaves KU Funeral Home Nairobi on Tuesday 23rd May, 2017 at 6.00am followed by funeral service at PCEA Turi Parish at 10.00am. He will be laid to rest at their family home, Rafiki Farm,Turi, Molo.

Grace Wairimu Njau (Wa Mwangi)

We the family of the late Grace Wairimu Njau of Munyutha Village covey our deepest gratitude and appreciation to all those who supported us in multiple ways during her sickness and the funeral preparations following her demise.
We specially thank the doctors and nurses at Kikuyu, Ruai, Mater and Agha Khan Hospitals who did their best to save her life. We also thank the ACK Bishop of Thika Diocese, Rt. Rev. Julius Wanyoike, Parish Priest, ACK St. Paul’s Munyutha, Rev. Daniel lrungu Wanjii and all the clergy who ministered to her and the family in that difficult period. We make special mention of Munyutha Village funeral committee, Nairobi funeral committee for all their efforts towards  offsetting the funeral bills, together with Muhoho Class of 1997, Dr. Kuria Njau’s classmates at Mang’u, Undergraduate and Postgraduate classes at the University of Nairobi Medical School; St. Paul’s University, NEEMA Fellowship and all relatives and friends.

Our Mother has rested from her labour and gone to be with the Lord, her deeds shall follow her. Doc Shosh will be dearly missed by all whom she loved and served at Akiba School, and the Anglican Church of Kenya, now that she has joined those who have gone before her. Beloved wife of the late Dr. James Karani Gitao. Daughter of the late Sospeter Kamau and Wangari Gitau of Uthiru, Kabete. Daughter-in-law of Jeremiah Gitau Muhia and Esther Nyambura Gitau of Gatiiguru, Kibichoi, Githunguri, Kiambu County.

Wonderful mother of Catherine Nyambura and Greg Leftwich, Philip Anthony and Regina Gitao, Winifred Wangari and Kenneth Mwige, Sospeter Nathan and Dr Susan Wamiithi-Gitao. Beautiful Cucu of Ruby, Vanessa, Malaika, Gakenia, Tugi, David Mutana and Karani. Devoted sister of Mary Nyakiaro Kamuyu, Naomi Wairimu Njukia, Meshack Kuria Gitau, the late Mary Nyamathue, Loise Gathoni, Lucy Wanjiku, Rachel Wahu, Gladys Nyokabi, Jane Mwihaki and James Munuthi. He was the son of the late Joseck Gitogo and the late MarthaWairimu. He was the husband of Jane Waitherero. Father of Susan Wairimu, Ruth Njeri, Joseck Gitogo and Stacey Wanjiru. Brother of Joseph Maina, John Kamau and David Mwaniki. Son in-law of the late Henry Mwangi and Ruth Njeri. Brother-in-law of Grace Muthoni, Grace Waniiru and Rose Wanjiru. Father-in-Law of Jeremiah Karuma and grandfather to Misha Wanjiru.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at his home in Mwihoko (Kwa Jeshi), Githurai and Magomano Hotel Nairobi.

The cortege will leave Kenyatta University on Saturday 20th May, 2017 at 8am for buria at Ichichi Location, Kangema Sub – County in Murang’a County.
