It is with humble acceptance of God’s will and love that we announce the passing on of Mary Ngendo Njeru of Ministry of Lands on 13 May 2017 after a long illness bravely borne. Daughter of Javan Njeru and Kelen Wanjiru of Kimangaru Village Embu. Daughter-in-law of the late Mr/mrs Gathiru of GitituVillage Nyeri.Wife of Mr Wilson Muteru (Githurai 44. Mother of Lily Njeri,SallyWanjiru and Yvonne Nyokabi. Grandmother of Daniella/Keegan, Garvin and Kryshana. Sister of James Njeru – Ministry of Water (Kakamega), Jane Njeru (formally Telcom Kenya), Phyllis Wambui – Ministry of Health (Namibia), Eunice Njeru – Ministry of Health (Malaria Control Programme), Dr Sophia Njeru (Machakos University), Nancy Njeru (Nanoh) – Government Press. Aunty of Betty, Kevin, Michelle and Wendy. Cousin and friend of many.
The cortege leaves Montezuma Funeral Home at 9.00am on ‘Saturday (20th May 2017) for burial at Langata Cemetery from 10.00am. Mass will be held at the grave side. Family and friends are meeting on Wednesday and Thursday (I 7th and 18th May) respectively at the Garden Square opposite City Hall from 4.30pm.
