It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance that we announce the passing of Mzee Ruto Chepkurui which occurred on 23rd March 2017 after a short illness. He was born in Turkuo Village, Baringo County. Son of the late Chepkurui Kipkoros and the late Kimoi Chepkuru, He was brother of the late Chesaro Chepkurui, step brother of the late Kandagor and the late Cheboiywo,

He was a loving husband of Tarkok and Kobilo Rutto. Has was loving father of the late Tabarno, the late Tabrandich, Symon, Martina, Magdaline, Magrina, Sibilina, Christine, Richard, Pauline, Abraham, Wilson and the late Kipchumba. He was father in-law of Mary, Sarah, late Milka, Ruth, Sheila and Lydhia. He was a loving grandfather to 80, great grandfather to 59 and great great grandfather to 2. He will be greatly missed by family and many friends.

The cortege leaves Baringo County Referral Hospital on Friday 31st March 2017. He will be laid to rest at his home in KapchepkeroVillage Kiboino Location, Baringo County.

Step-mother of William Karanja, Stephen Muchui, James Githire, Edward Karau, Joseph Gicharu, Francis Kiruku among others.

Sister of John Gitari Muhinia, Ng’endo, Nyakaria among others. Mother-in-law of Daniel Karanja of Ruiru, James G. Wahome of Nyeri. Doting grandmother and great Grandmother of many.

Friends, relatives and well wishers are meeting at her home in Kigami for prayers starting at 4pm and at Kiambu Senior Officers Club starting 6.00pm daily.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Funeral Home on Tuesday 4th April at 9am for interment at her farm at Kigami Loki.

The cortege leaves Uplands Funeral Home on Tuesday 4/4/2017 at 9.00 a.m. for service and burial at her home Tarambana starting at 10.00 a.m.

 The Sisters of Mary of Kakamega regret to announce the untimely demise of Sr Mary jovita Nyaboke that occurred on Sunday, 26/03/2017.

Daughter of the Late Gabriel Nyamwaya and the Late Maria Antoneta Nyang’ara of Bomobea village, Amasago sub-location, Keumbu location, Kisii Sub-County, Kisii County, Amasago Parish in Kisii Diocese.

Sister of Salome Nyanchama, the Late Agnes Kemunto, the Late Martha Omang’a, the Late Joseph Nyang’ai, Celyne Mona, Yuraria Orora, Matongo Nyamweya, and Seme. Aunty of Dr. Kennedy Onchiri, Julius Ombaba, Mary Obara, Ayuma Thomas, Peter Motari, Lawrence Gekonge, Sister Clemencia Mogiti (BVS), and many others.

The cortege leaves St. Elizabeth Mukumu Mission Hospital Mortuary on Sunday 02/04/2017 at 4.00pm for vigil masses at the Sisters of Mary of Kakamega Chapel Mukumu. The requiem mass will be on Monday, 03/04/2017 at 10.00am.

Loving mother of the late Mary Nyambura Wandimi, Thomas Muchoki, Jane Njoki, the late John Maina and Nicholas Mwangi. Sister of Judah Muia,James Maundu, Jones Mutua, the late Nduti Kitivi, Grace Mutete and Agnes Mukonyo. Mother-in-law of the late Wandimi, Salome Wanjiru, the late Kinuthia and Lucy Miriti. Funeral service will be held at her farm, Nyakihai sub-location, Gaturi location, Kiharu Division, Muranga County and thereafter burial at he same venue.
