It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Mrs Monica Muthoni Kamiti which occurred on February 21st 2017, after a long illness.

Daughter of the late Joshua Mugo Njuguna and the late Virginia Wangari Mugo. She was the wife of Dr Mungai Kamiti of Chicago, USA. Loving mother of Hilda Kamiti and loving mother in law of Tom Kamundia both of Dallas, USA. Grandmother of Zachary, Abigail, Michael and Gracie. Sister of Julia Wanjiru Karanja , S. N. Mugo (Favourite Ltd /Mukereni), Rose Njeri (Department of Defence), Jane Wambui Wanjau (Embu), the Tate Tabitha Wangeci, the late Julia Wanjiru, Stephen Murigi (Ndunyu Chege), the late Lucy Wacera. Sister, auntie, cousin and friend of many.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Funeral home on Thursday March 2nd for the funeral service at St Michael Catholic Church Lang’ata at 11am which will be followed by the burial at the Lang’ata Cemetery at 2pm.

She fought a good fightm but she was called home.

It is with profound shock and great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Achieng’ Owitty in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, on January 27, 2017. She was buried in Atlanta on February 7, 2017.

Wife of Maurice Owitty. Mother of Eric Owitty. Mother-in-law of Brenda, grandmother of Sam, William and Patrick Owitty. Daughter of the late Mzee William Anguka and the late Mama Roselidah Anguka of Kisumu Karateng’. Sister of Pamela, the late Lawrence, the late Patrick, Christine, Evans, the late Elizabeth, Betty, Jonah, Fred, Ambrose and Dan.

A memorial service to be presided by the Rt. Rev. Dr. Francis M. Abiero, Bishop of Diocese of Maseno South, is scheduled on March 4, 2017, at 10am, at St. James ACK Marera.

Daughter of Njagi wa John Mwita and Kellen Gaceke of Kithiria Kibugu. Sister of Eric Kimanthi (Administration Police, Nairobi), Patrick Njiru (Kenya Army) and Winnie Karimi (Business lady Kitengela). Aunt of Adrian Ngumo, Stacy Wakio and One Day Old then Susan Mukami. Niece and cousin of many. Granddaughter of Prisca Njura John.

Beloved son of the late David Kimani Macharia and Hannah Njeri Kimani of Ngarariga, Limuru. Husband of Margaret Wanjiru Kuria. Father of Abigael Njeri and Shantel Kabura. Dotting brother of Wambui, Macharia (Deputy Speaker Kiambu),Wanjiku, Njuguna and Njai. Brother-in-law of Wairimu, Kamau, Wanjiku, Mbai, Kimani and Wahu of Kabuku.

With humble acceptance and deep regret, we announce the death of Samuel Kyanganda of Taita Taveta University which occurred on 16th February, 2017 at Pandya Memorial Hospital after a short illness.

Son of late Nyariere Tayari Kyanganda and Sicilia Owino Nyariere Kyanganda. Husband of Joyce Muriuki Kyanganda and father of Eugene Dowgwada and Azania Nyambura. Brother of Morris Kyanganda, Mwenge Kyanganda, Juma Kyanganda, Kennedy Kyanganda, Late Taabu Kyanganda, Adhiambo Kyanganda, Shida Kyanganda and Atieno Dada. Son-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Muriuki of Nyahururu. Brother in-law of Grace, Carol and Francis. Nephew of late Wilson Ogwanda of Migori. Cousin and an Uncle of many.

Funeral arrangement meetings are being held at Mombasa village daily from 4.30p.m. There will be a final fundraising to cater for the funeral expenses in the same venue on Saturday 25th February starting at 2pm. Requiem mass will be held on 28th February, 2017 at Mombasa Pentecostal Church (MPC). Burial will take place in Bubombi village, Rorya District, Mara Msoma County – Tanzania on 3rd March, 2017.
