It is with deep sorrow and profound shock that we announce the sudden demise of Surveyor Odhiambo Moses Oremo in a tragic incident which occurred on 31st January 2017 while on duty in Cameroon, West Africa. Surveyor Odhiambo along with four other UN personnel was ambushed by unknown armed elements at Cameroon/Nigeria border.

Son of Mzee James Oremo and the late Tabitha Achieng of Sakwa Kamayule in Nyakasumbi village in Bondo sub county, Siaya County. Husband of Madam Anne Otieno Odhiambo (KCB Nakuru). Father of Albert Odhiambo, Keith Odero and Ray Odhiambo. He also had two adopted children: Brenda and Eric. Brother of Odede, Randiki, Okoth, Masiro, Olawo, Dr Oremo, Millicent, Damahs, Fred Oyor, Mugadas, Uyiengo and Mango. Nephew of Martin, Joshua, the late John, the late Eng. Paul, the late Nereah, Ruth and Richard.
