Harriet Muiya Njeru

1939 – 19th January 2017

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Harriet Muiya Njeru of Kithitu village, Maara Sub-County, Tharaka-Nithi County, which occurred on January 19th, 2017 in Nairobi after a long illness. Daughter of the late Ndegwa Kaugi (Kagwanku) and the late Mwambogori Ndegwa, Wife of john Pharis Njeru Musa; Mother of the late Janice Kagendo, Jasper Kariuki, Jefferson Njagi, Johnson KimathL Dinah Kageni, Kenneth Gitonga, Lawrence Muriithi, and Lydia Kaimuri; Mother-In-Law of Eng. Julius Riungu, Jane Wanjiru, Mary Wambui, Maxwell Gitonga, Janice Kaari, Carol Mumbi and Willy Mbithi; Sister of the late Nkonge Rucha, the late Joyce Nkagwa, the late Kiraithe Ndegwa, the late Mwarario, David Kirigu, the late Ithiru Riungu, Mukwanieru Magi and Desderio Kubai. Aunt, grandmother and great grandmother of many.

Family, relatives and friends are meeting at the Lutheran Evangelical Church (Nairobi), at the son’s home in Kahawa Wendani and the family home (Kithitu village) daily from Monday January 23rd, 2017 to Wednesday, January 25th, 2017 at 5:00PM for prayers and funeral arrangements.

She will be laid to rest on Friday, January 27th, 2017 at the family home in Kithitu village. The funeral service will be held at the Ngeru PCEA Church, Maara at 9:00am.

 

Dr. Stephen Kerosi Makori

1964 – 16th January 2017

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the sudden demise of Dr. Stephen Kerosi Makori which occurred on 16th January, 2017 through a tragic road accident in Nairobi. Until his death, the late was a Senior Deputy Secretary at the Ministry of Agriculture.

Son of Priscah Kemunto and the late Sylvanus Nyagoto. Beloved Husband of Jackline Mokeira and Damaris Muthoni. Adored father of Maureen Kendi Kerosi, Collins Makori (Denmark), Cynthia Kemunto (Pangani Girls 2016), Ronald Mokaya (Mang’u High School), Kenny, Amos and Sandra Kemunto. Loving brother of Bennedict Migiro, Redemptor Gesare, Evans Ongaro, Gilbert Mariara, Stella Kwamboka, Everline Nyaboke, Annaclate Moraa and the late Ronald Mokaya. Uncle of Mokeira, Grace, Queen, Arnold, Maureen, Winstein, Glenias, Sharon, Adrian among others. Requiem Mass will be held at Don Bosco Catholic Church Upper Hill on Wednesday 25th January 2017 starting 11am till 1pm.

The body will be transported from Nairobi to Nyamira on 26th January2017. Burial will be on 27th January 2017 at Moturumesi village, Rigena location, Masaba North Sub County- Nyamira County.

Mzee Nehemiah Oguna Okello

6th April 1933 – 10th January 2017

We regret to announce the death of Mzee Nehemiah Oguna Okello of Nyamninia Village, Yala Sub division, Siaya County. Son of the late Mzee Jeremiah Okello Oneya and the late Mama Janet Odera Okello.

Brother of the late Elseba Oneya Ogonji, the late Rhoda Agola Ndende, the late Zedekiah Omoro, the late Phelgona Awuor Oyuga, Jane Margret Odera Oneya. the late Nahashon Ooko, the late John Anyango, the late Willis Obare and Joan Odeny. Father of Jackton David Oneya, Dr. George Francis Owino Oguna, Winny Atieno Oguna Mugweh, the late Dickson Henry Ochieng Oguna, Dr. Mary Judy Ajode Oguna-Maina and Tr. Janet Lorraine Odera Ochieng. Father-in-law of Peres Akoth Oneya, the late Joyce Oguna, Martha Gitau Oguna, John James Mugweh, Alexander Maina Karuga and Evans Ochieng Opondo. Grandfather of Grace Atieno- Oneya, Janet Lorraine Odera Oneya, Travor Odhiambo Oguna Oneya, Christian David Okello Oneya, Tamara Zipporah Oguna, Margaret Valentine Awuor Oguna, Jeremy Okello Oguna, Ruth Akoth Oguna, Teddy Julian Mugweh, Olyvia Beverly Mugweh, Johnathan Jeremy Oguna Mugweh, Emmanuella Wangui Maina, Joshua Michael Gweth Ochieng, Joy Grace Achieng Ochieng and great grandfather of Joyce Chelsea Kassana.

The funeral cortege leaves Sagam Community Hospital on Friday, January 27th, 2017 for a church service at St Mark’s ACK Church, Nyamninia at 1:30pm and thereafter an overnight stay at his home in Nyamninia Village. Burial will be held on Saturday, January 28th, 2017 at his home starting at 10am.

Judy Nini Njaga Lacassagne

January 4th 1965 – January 21st 2017

We sadly announce the passing on of Judith Nini Njaga Lacassagne, on Saturday 21st January 2017.We thank God for the time we shared with her and look forward with great joy to the day we will be reunited again.

Daughter of the late Walter Njaga and Grace Wanjiru Njaga. Sister of the late Tony Njaga. Beloved wife of Ludovic Lacassagne of 33 years. Loving mother of Alexis, Ludovic (Junior) and Kassandra Lacassagne. Supportive grandmother of Alexis and Emma’s children Enzo, Zoe and Chloe. Niece of Amb. Leonard and Jane Kibinge, George & Wanjiru Mbuthia, Margaret Kimani, the late Dedan Maina, George & Tabitha Mathu, Charles & Carol Muigai, Prof. Muruku & Dorothy Waiguchu, Eliud & Lucy Ngei, Mary Wanjiku Warui, Francis and Anne Mucheru, Christopher & Ann Muguku, Lewis & Rachel Muchene, the late Arthur Wagithuku & Evelyn Mungai, the late “Sir” John & Wairimu Thiani, the late Prof. Godfrey & Jane Maina, the late Nduta Mungai, the late Kibinu Mungai, Dr. William & Wanjuhi Temu, Perminus & Tabitha Karanja, and Beatrice “Ciro” Mungai. Stella Wairimu Karanja ‘Mo’

8th Dec 1977 – 21st Jan 2017

Stella finally won a 10 year battle with lupus, on Saturday 21st January, 2017 when the Lord took her up to the heavens. We called her the #BeautifulWarrior for she soldiered on despite the challenges she faced with SLE.

She leaves behind her parents James Karanja and Jane Wanjiku, her brothers and sisters; Joe Njuguna and Elizabeth Nyokabi, Pius Kariuki and Anne Wangari, Rufus Mbiyu and Esther Ndugu, Sarah Njeri and Quincy Onyando. Doting aunty to Karanja, Marvin, Christine, Israel, Amaria and Kuwe. A niece, cousin and friend to many, Stella warmed up every soul she met. Prayers are being held at the All Saints Cathedral from 5:30pm and at her parents home in Thika, Maki Estate. We will lay her body to rest on Friday 27th January.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Funeral Home at 8:30am for a funeral mass service at St Patrick’s Catholic Church Thika at 10am. The burial will take place at her parents farm in Maragua.

May her strength and faith fire us up as we continue with our own journeys before we meet her on the other side.

Daughter of Esther Wangechi and the late Ephrahim Kiragu of Ngandu Village, Mathira, Nyeri County. Wife of Samuel Mwenje Wamai. Loving mother of Annmarie & Jayden. Daughter in law of Mr & Mrs Joseph Wamae Mwenje.

The cortege leaves Nairobi on Thursday, January 26, 2017 for Jamii Funeral Home, Karatina, for viewing starting at 8am, followed by mass at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Ngandu Parish at 9am and thereafter burial at Wamae Mwenje’s home in Ngandu.

Ltd), George Ngugi (Smart Collections Narok), James Mbiri (Hawkers Pride Autospares), Gideon Githua (G-Mag Farm), Godfrey Mwaura and Amos Mukiri.

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Monica Njoki Wanjama which occurred on 17th January 2017 after a short illness at Mary Immaculate Hospital Nyeri. Daughter of the late Daniel Wanjama Kirimire and Margaret Wanjiku Wanjama. Wife of the late Mukundi Thumbi. She hails from Muhonia village, Laikipia County, Mother of Simon Kariuki, John Mathenge, James Rukwaro, Ephantus King’ori (Chairman Gathuthi) and Mary Wanjugu (KU). Mother-in-love of Lydiah Wambui, Jeniffer Muthoni, Catherine Njoki and Loise Wachuka.

Relatives and Friends are meeting at her son’s home, Director Mukundi (Giant) Gatumbiro Village. The burial will be on Tuesday 24th January 2017 at Gatumbiro Village from 11am.

 

John Ndiritu Kanyugo

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Retired teacher John Ndiritu Kanyugo which occurred on 17/1/2017. Son of the late Joel Kanyugo Kabacia and Peris Wambui Kanyugo. Beloved husband of Jane Wambui Ndiritu. Father of James Ndegwa, Rosemary Wanjiru, Cecelia Njeri, Hellen Wangui, Catherine Njoki, Joel Kanyugo and Simon Wathuta. Brother of Simon Wathuta, Daniel Thauti, Jecinta Wangui and the late Moses Gakuru. Grandfather of many.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily from 5.30 pm at Antonio’s Grill, Nairobi and at his home Embaringo village for prayers and funeral arrangements.

Loving mother of Agnes Gatehi, Joseph Kamanu, Pauline Njeri, Paul Gitau, Dr Millicent Muhu, Jane Wanjiru, Grace Wanjiru, Theresia Wanjiku, Karen Ruguru and Esther Gacambi. Mother in law of John Gatehi, Faith, Felista, Beth Gitau, Dr. Muhu Kahiga. Rewel Kinyajui and Festus Mutuku. Grandmother, great grand mother, sister, aunt cousin and friend of many.

Family and friends are meeting at her Gitaru family residence daily. A prayer meeting will be help at PCEA St. Andrews Church, Nairobi on Tuesday, 24th January 2017 at 5pm.

The cortege leaves Chiromo Mortuary on Thursday, 26th January 2017 at 8am for a funeral service at PCEA Sigona Church at 11am. Thereafter she will be laid to rest at her Gitaru home on the Naivasha-Kikuyu road junction.
