It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Harriet Muiya Njeru of Kithitu village, Maara Sub-County, Tharaka-Nithi County, which occurred on January 19th, 2017 in Nairobi after a long illness. Daughter of the late Ndegwa Kaugi (Kagwanku) and the late Mwambogori Ndegwa, Wife of john Pharis Njeru Musa; Mother of the late Janice Kagendo, Jasper Kariuki, Jefferson Njagi, Johnson KimathL Dinah Kageni, Kenneth Gitonga, Lawrence Muriithi, and Lydia Kaimuri; Mother-In-Law of Eng. Julius Riungu, Jane Wanjiru, Mary Wambui, Maxwell Gitonga, Janice Kaari, Carol Mumbi and Willy Mbithi; Sister of the late Nkonge Rucha, the late Joyce Nkagwa, the late Kiraithe Ndegwa, the late Mwarario, David Kirigu, the late Ithiru Riungu, Mukwanieru Magi and Desderio Kubai. Aunt, grandmother and great grandmother of many.

Family, relatives and friends are meeting at the Lutheran Evangelical Church (Nairobi), at the son’s home in Kahawa Wendani and the family home (Kithitu village) daily from Monday January 23rd, 2017 to Wednesday, January 25th, 2017 at 5:00PM for prayers and funeral arrangements.

She will be laid to rest on Friday, January 27th, 2017 at the family home in Kithitu village. The funeral service will be held at the Ngeru PCEA Church, Maara at 9:00am.

 

1964 – 16th January 2017

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the sudden demise of Dr. Stephen Kerosi Makori which occurred on 16th January, 2017 through a tragic road accident in Nairobi. Until his death, the late was a Senior Deputy Secretary at the Ministry of Agriculture.

Son of Priscah Kemunto and the late Sylvanus Nyagoto. Beloved Husband of Jackline Mokeira and Damaris Muthoni. Adored father of Maureen Kendi Kerosi, Collins Makori (Denmark), Cynthia Kemunto (Pangani Girls 2016), Ronald Mokaya (Mang’u High School), Kenny, Amos and Sandra Kemunto. Loving brother of Bennedict Migiro, Redemptor Gesare, Evans Ongaro, Gilbert Mariara, Stella Kwamboka, Everline Nyaboke, Annaclate Moraa and the late Ronald Mokaya. Uncle of Mokeira, Grace, Queen, Arnold, Maureen, Winstein, Glenias, Sharon, Adrian among others. Requiem Mass will be held at Don Bosco Catholic Church Upper Hill on Wednesday 25th January 2017 starting 11am till 1pm.

The body will be transported from Nairobi to Nyamira on 26th January2017. Burial will be on 27th January 2017 at Moturumesi village, Rigena location, Masaba North Sub County- Nyamira County.

The funeral cortege leaves Sagam Community Hospital on Friday, January 27th, 2017 for a church service at St Mark’s ACK Church, Nyamninia at 1:30pm and thereafter an overnight stay at his home in Nyamninia Village. Burial will be held on Saturday, January 28th, 2017 at his home starting at 10am.

Loving mother of Alexis, Ludovic (Junior) and Kassandra Lacassagne. Supportive grandmother of Alexis and Emma’s children Enzo, Zoe and Chloe. Niece of Amb. 8th Dec 1977 – 21st Jan 2017

Stella finally won a 10 year battle with lupus, on Saturday 21st January, 2017 when the Lord took her up to the heavens. We called her the #BeautifulWarrior for she soldiered on despite the challenges she faced with SLE.

She leaves behind her parents James Karanja and Jane Wanjiku, her brothers and sisters; Joe Njuguna and Elizabeth Nyokabi, Pius Kariuki and Anne Wangari, Rufus Mbiyu and Esther Ndugu, Sarah Njeri and Quincy Onyando. Doting aunty to Karanja, Marvin, Christine, Israel, Amaria and Kuwe. A niece, cousin and friend to many, Stella warmed up every soul she met. Prayers are being held at the All Saints Cathedral from 5:30pm and at her parents home in Thika, Maki Estate. We will lay her body to rest on Friday 27th January.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Funeral Home at 8:30am for a funeral mass service at St Patrick’s Catholic Church Thika at 10am. The burial will take place at her parents farm in Maragua.

May her strength and faith fire us up as we continue with our own journeys before we meet her on the other side.

She hails from Muhonia village, Laikipia County, Mother of Simon Kariuki, John Mathenge, James Rukwaro, Ephantus King’ori (Chairman Gathuthi) and Mary Wanjugu (KU). Mother-in-love of Lydiah Wambui, Jeniffer Muthoni, Catherine Njoki and Loise Wachuka.

Relatives and Friends are meeting at her son’s home, Director Mukundi (Giant) Gatumbiro Village. The burial will be on Tuesday 24th January 2017 at Gatumbiro Village from 11am.

The cortege leaves Chiromo Mortuary on Thursday, 26th January 2017 at 8am for a funeral service at PCEA Sigona Church at 11am. Thereafter she will be laid to rest at her Gitaru home on the Naivasha-Kikuyu road junction.
