It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to Glory of our beloved Father Mr. Waihenya Mutharu which occurred on 2nd February, 2017 at Mary Immaculate Clinic. Son of the late Muuru Waithaka and the late Jane Wanjiru Muuru. Husband of the late Beth Waruguru Waihenya. Brother of Brian Maina Muuru and the late Mwangi Muuru, the late Wakangui and the late Njoki Kanyi. Loving Father of Watson Maina (Shamata), Virginia Gitau, Truphena Wangui Mwangi, the late Edwin Macharia, George Mwangi, Anne Waihenya-Chege (Montleng Apartments), Peter Mwai, John Irungu (Dera Chemicals), Wangari Muchoki (Equity Bank, Msa). Father-in-law of Regina Ruguru Maina, Ali Gitau, James Mwangi, Judy Macharia, Margaret Nunga, David Chege, Catherine Nieri, and James Ngugi. Grandfather and great-grandfather of many.

Family and Friends are meeting at his Bahati residence (Hse No. 149) and Commons Wanginya (Bahati Shopping Centre) from today 6th Feb – Thursday 9th Feb 2017 from 5.30pm. The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Funeral Home on Friday, 10th February 2017 at 8.30am for a funeral service at ACK St. Stephen Church, Muringa, Gaitheri location. Murang’a Country at 11.00 am. Burial thereafter at Muringa.
