We, the family of the Late Mama Jean Mbogori, wish to most sincerely appreciate all our relatives, friends and well wishers for prayers, messages of condolences, visits, attendance to meetings and generous giving when our loving Mother, Grandmother and Great grand mother, Auntie & friend passed on. You gave us strength and courage to go through our season of great loss, to celebrate Jean’s life and to give her a befitting burial.

Brother of Harun Kagwi, Daniel Kabuu, Francis Mwangi, Mary Wangui, Solomon Waithaka, Charity Wanjiru, Hannah Wanjiku, Jeremiah Kibe, Thomas Kaguta and Joel Gachuki. Son in-law of Hannah Wanjiru Wachira of Mungu Village, Kieni East, Nyeri County. Brother-in-law of many.

Husband of Purity Wairimu Gachau (Teacher, King’ong’o Primary). Father of Maureen Wambui Gachau (Bishop Gatimu Ng’andu Girls’) Nimrod Macharia Gachau (Nyeri Primary) and Precious Wanjiru (formerly of Nyeri Kindergarten).

Relatives and friends are meeting daily at King’ong’o Estate Nyeri Town, Ngaru Village Chinga Location and Magomano Hotel Nairobi, from 6.00pm. The body lies at Outspan Hospital Mortuary, Nyeri. The burial be held at Ngaru Village, Chinga Location, Nyeri County on Saturday 31st December 2016.

Mother of the late Alice Wambui, Lucy Wanjiku, James Gathambu, Julius Kigano, Eunice Wairimu, Jane Njeri, Elizabeth Wanjugu, Samuel Mwangi, Daniel Ndirangu and Stephen Gathaiya. Mother in law of the late Timothy Ngure, the late John Ndung’u, Joshua Senge, Peter Ndege, Herbert Karanja, Susan Wambui, Hannah Muthoni, Hellen Ndirangu and Rosemary Nthenya.

She leaves behind 35 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Burial will take place at Kiganjo Location, Gachika sub-location, Kahiga-Gitundu village, Nyeri County.

Meetings are currently being held at her residence in Eastleigh Section III and at her Nyeri home.

Family and friends are meeting at Luther Plaza next to St Andrews PCEA Church opposite St. Paul’s University Chapel off Uhuru Highway starting 6.00 p.m. to 7.30 p.m. daily for prayers and arrangements for bringing the body from U.K. and thereafter the burial at Embu.

Son of Joseph Kimisoi Kiplagat and Everlyn Soti Kimisoi (Kapchepkunur) of Arangai farm plot No 34 Timboroa. Brother of Jane (Kamwosor Primary School) Joel (Principal Chepkongony Secondary School) Sila (EA Portland Cement), Irene (Chelalang Secondary School), Mary (Bank of Baroda), Leah (Horwath Erastus and Company), Monicah, Robert (Kitale Technical) and Christine (Kisii University). Son in law of Mr and Mrs Ezekiel Mbetto of Timboiywo, Kabasis Location, Sacho Sub location. He was son of the late Suleiman ara Chonginio and late Mama Cheibo Moogo and a step son of the late Alima Suleiman; husband of the late Emiliana and Emily. He was a dear brother to Rosemary Limo, Ernest Kiriongi, Gilbert Kiriongi, Kiptabur Kiriongi and the late Kipsongok.

Father of Scholastica Bor, Mactilda, Tuiyot, Wenceslaus, Tororey, Valence Karbolo, Fred Tororey, Sr Anastasia Cherono (Loreto IBVM), Cresentia Baari, Clotilda Wesonga, Bonface Kiriongi, Fr Justus Rottuk (SVD), Martina, John-Marie Kipkurgat, Mary-Teresa, Monica, Francisca, Cosmas, Victor, Linus, George, Assumpta, John Paul, Steven, Cornelius, Dr (Capt) Cecilia, Dominic, Leonida, Vivian, Margarita, Cornelius and Teresa. The cortege leaves Moi Teaching and Refferal Hospital mortuary on Tuesday 17th January 2017 for mass at Holy Family Catholic Church Ol’lessos . Thereafter the cortege will proceed home for overnight vigil.

Funeral mass and burial will be on Wednesday 18th January 2017 from 10am at Kamalel, Nandi County.
