Hellen Bonareri Nyakundi

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the untimely passing of the matriarch of the family, Hellen Bonareri Nyakundi on 3Oth January, 2017. A loving wife of Meshack Onchang’wa Nyakundi of Cargill Enterprises Ltd. Daughter in law of the late Elijah Nyakundi (Tuntera) and Mama Eucabeth Bwari of Gesusu, Chibwobi. Daughter of Stephen Magembe Gwaka and the late Paskalia Kemunto Magembe. An amazing and caring mother of Rose Kemunto of Aga Khan University Hospital, Evaline Kemuma and Richard Guku of Texas USA, Robert Matagaro of Cargill Enterprises Ltd and Jackline Tuntera of Safaricom. Sister of Onsarigo, the late Zachary, John (U.S.A), Petronilla, Leonida, Nyabuto (U.S.A), Sheba (USA), Nyaseti, Nyakomba, Ong’angi and Cosmas (U.S.A.) Sister-in-law of the late Peter, Matagaro, Moruri, Christopher, Monica, Norah, Nyanchama, Nyamweya, Ebisiba, Grace, Joyce, James, Guku, Commissioner Jeremiah Matagaro, Onsakia Omae, Matagaro Omae, Samuel and Charles. Mother in law of Evans (U.S.A.), LaTaura (USA.) and Ernest (Safaricom). Korera of James Mongoina and Esther Ayaga of Ogembo Kisii and the late Charles G. Kitindi (late) and Loise W. Kitindi (late).

Daily meetings are being held at the family home at Kifaru Lane, off Sololo Road, Laiser Hill, Ongata Rongai. There will be a fundraising on the Sunday, 05/02/2017 at the family home from 2:00 pm and the main fundraiser on the Tuesday, 07/02.2017, at 680 Hotel from 5:30 pm. The cortege leaves Umash Funeral home on Wednesday, 08/02/2017, for a church service at Ongata Rongai main SDA Church, Kware. Burial will be on Thursday, 09/02/2016, at the family home Kifaru Lane, off Sololo Road, Laiser Hill, Ongata Rongai.

George Maina Kiruri (Ithe wa Kiruri)

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the going to glory of George Maina Kiruri (Ithe wa Kiruri) of Gathera Village in Kamacharia location. He passed away on 30th January 2017 after a short illness. Son of the late David Kiruri and the late Lydiah Wangeci. Brother of the late Wangoto Kiruri, James Mwenja, the late Kamau Kiruri, Grace Waigumo and Emily Njeri. Father of Nancy Wambui (Othaya), Simon Muhuko (Nairobi), the late David Kiruri, Lydia Wangeci (Nairobi), Grace Waigumo (Tangu), Mary Wanjiku (Nairobi) and Emily Njeri (Nairobi). Grandmother of many grandchildren and a few great grandchildren.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University mortuary at 7.30am on Monday February 6th 2017 for funeral service and burial at his home Gathera Village, Kamacharia Location, Murang’a County.

Francis Nguru Kinuthia

1921 – January 31st 2017

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on to glory of our beloved father, Mr. Francis Nguru Kinuthia, of Kiamuturi Village Mathioya Sub-county, Murang’a, which occurred on 31st January 2017. Son of the late Kinuthia Mutuota and Mary Muringi. Husband of the late Hannah Wanjiku Nguru and father of Mary Ngumba, Dinah Wandeto, Kinuthia Nguru, Naomi Kamau, Rebecca Njoki, Grace Wanjiru and Ruth Kamau. Brother of the late: Hannah Mahugu, Pithon Macharia, Hosea Muriithi, Onesmus Gathitu, Loice Wangari, and Lay Canon Joel Buku. Son-in-law of the late Phillip Wairenge and Mary Wangui. Father in law of Ben Ngumba, Charles Wandeto, Humphrey Kamau, Jane Kinuthia, Cyrus Kimani and Moses Kamau. Grandfather and great grandfather of many.

Meetings for funeral arrangements will be held at the All Saints Cathedral Nbi on 3rd, 6th and 7th February from 5.30 pm, and at his Kiamuturi home. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday 8th February 2017 at St Phillips ACK Kiamuturi from 11am followed by burial thereafter at his Kiamuturi farm.

Aggrey Kigalu Kadenge

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will to announce the death of Mr Aggrey Kigalu Kadenge of BBC Monitoring. Son of the late Jeremiah Galia Kadenge and the late Margaret Vundienyi. Husband of Aida Seera and Vinna Sang’. Father of Caroline, Mildred, Collins,Tabitha, Rebecca, Stephen, Anne, David, Vivian and Faith. Brother of Doreen, Beatrice, Phillip, Pamela and Andrew. Brother in law of Fred, Hellen, Sam, Abdi, Noah (among others). Nephew of Sera Lukalo. Grandfather of Martha, George and Cynthia.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at Antonio’s Grill, Nairobi, for funeral arrangements. A mini fundraising will take place on 4th February 2017 at his home in Karen, Westwood Park Road, Gate Number 54. Fund raising will be held on Sunday 5th of February 2017 at Friends Centre Church Maringo at 2.00pm, and on Tuesday 7th of February 2017 at Antonio’s Grill at 5.30pm. The cortege leaves Chiromo Funeral Home on Thursday 9th of November 2017 at 8am.

Burial Ceremony will take place at Soysambu Village, Soysambu sub location, Tongaren Constituency, Bungoma County, on Saturday 11th February 2017 at 9am.

Its with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Charles Mokonge Ondieki son of late John Nchabera and late Pasifica Moraa. At the time of his death he was working with Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The late Ondieki was from Bandakweri Village, Mosocho Division. Kisii County

His death occurred on 18th January 2017 at Nyangena Hospital Kisii after a prolonged illness. Husband of Pauline Kwamboka Mokonge. Father of Teresa Bosibori, Philip Ondieki, Jacob Barongo, Evans Ombati, Derick Ogendi and Samwel Amenya. Brother of Pancras Ogamba, Petronira Nyaitondi, Florence Barongo, Pauline Mokeira and John Nchabera. Father-in-law of James Anyona and Joyce Bundi. He had three grandchildren.

Friends and relatives are meeting for funeral arrangement daily at his home in Mosocho. There will be a fundraising at his home on 1st February 2017.

The cortege left Nyangena Hospital on Thursday 2nd February 2017 at 2pm for overnight vigil at his home, the funeral and burial service is on Friday 3rd February 2017.

 

Jane Wangari Muriga

1936 – 30/1/2017

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Mrs Jane Wangari Muriga (Murega) after a long illness bravely borne.

Wife of Joshua Muriga Ng’ang’a of Gitogothi Limuru. Mother of Elder Robinson Waweru, Esther Wanjiku, Dr Joseph. N. Murega (Thika), Samuel Macharia (LVCT), Simon. G. Murega, Arthur Mwaura and the late Phyllis Wangui. Daughter of the late Joshua Macharia and the late Phyllis Wangui. Sister of Rev Rtd Arthur Mwaura (Naivasha), late Rahab Muthoni, the late Emily Wambui and the late Mary Wanjiru. Grandmother and great grandmother of many.

Relatives and Friends are meeting daily at her home Gitogothi Limuru from 4:00pm and Coconut Grill Thika at 6pm daily. The cortege leaves Uplands Funeral Home on Tuesday 7th February 2017 at 8am for a funeral service at PCEA Gitogothi Church and thereafter burial at her home near the church.

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that the Teachers Service Commission announces the death of Samuel Ng’ethe Kabaiku of Kahuro TSC Sub-County, Murang’a County, which occurred on 27th January, 2017 through a tragic motorcycle accident at Njai-ini, Kahuro in Murang’a.

Adored son of James K Ng’ethe and Margaret Kabaiku of Kabiria, Riruta Satellite, Nairobi County. Beloved brother of Rev Peter Kabaiku (Kiserian), Florence Kabaiku-Deuel (USA), Damaris Kabaiku (TSC, Githunguri) and Moses Kabaiku (Riruta, Satellite). Beloved brother of Bernice Kabaiku (Kiserian) and brother-in-law of Steve Deuel (USA). Doting uncle of Jeffrey Kabaiku (Zalego Institute), Sean Mbiyu (Mang’u High School) and Muhuhe Muthura (Limuru). Adored by his grandparents, aunties, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces.

The cortege leaves Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home today, Friday, 3rd ebruary, 2017 at 9 am for funeral service and burial at Lang’ata Cemetery.

Step mother of Rose Musyoki, Ken and Wanja Mosa, Tabitha and Mathenge late David Mosa and Isabel Kisina, Florence and Harrison Airo, Nancy, Judy, Lawrence and Susan mosa. Sister of the late Catherine Muthikwa Muyanga, Mary Kamene Musyimi, John Mutua, the late Timothy Kituku, late David Kituku (Advocate), Joseph Ndolo, Alice Solomon Mwanza and Elizabeth Ngali. Grandmother of Mbithe, Jay, Essie, Senti, Lousie, Joshua, Eve, Gina, Mosa, Justin, Gabby, Joshua, Alex, Hope, Timothy and Ben amongst others grandchildren. Great grandmother of Zuri and Aiden amongst others.

Family and friends will be meeting daily at CITAM (NPC) Valley Road Church from 5: 30pm on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Meetings will also be held at Kamuthanga, Mitaboni.

Burial will take place at her home in Kamuthanga village, Mitaboni on Tuesday 7th February 2017 from 12 noon.

Mother of the late Frank Kamuyu Kamau and Virginia Wanjiku Kamuyu, Joseph Karega and Virginia Gathoni Karega. Grand Mother of Sarah Kamuyu, Agnes Kamuyu, William Kamuyu, Evelyne Kamuyu, Sera Karega, William Karega, Kate Karega and Eugene Karega. Great Grand Mother of Shawn Kamuyu and Damien Karega. Sister of John Njenga, Njeri Njoroge and Francis Ng’ang’a Karega among others.

The cortege leaves M.P Shah Mortuary on Wednesday 8th February at 9am. Funeral service will be held at St. Joseph, The Worker Catholic Church Kangemi at 11a.m. Burial thereafter at her home in Thiong’o Rroad, Kangemi, Nairobi.
