Githae was the son of Jeremiah and Muringo Kiereini.

Brother of Douglas, Wambui King, Mumbi, the late Mburu and Caroline Kiereini and brother-in-law of Joyce and Wambui Mburu Kiereini.

He was an uncle, cousin of many and beloved friend to many more.

He was cremated at a private family ceremony on Thursday April 6th 2017. There will be a memorial service and celebration of Githae’s life at All Saints Cathedral on April 21st at 2pm.

Sister of the late Hon. Peter Muigai, Peter Magana, Jeni Kenyatta Gecaga, Kristina Kenyatta Pratt, His Excellency Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta and Her the First Lady Margaret Kenyatta, Nyokabi Kenyatta Muthama, Muhoho and Erica Kenyatta.

 

Grandmother to Njomo and Wangui Kamau, Ngwiri and Nyambura Kamau, Wambui (Bo) and Ben Maina. Great-grandmother to Eva Wanjiku and Ruth Kirigo, Arianna Wanjiku, Ryan Kamau, Adrienne Wanjiku and Jamie Kuriah.

 

She was the sister-in-law to Charity Gathoni, the late Sophia Wanjiru, Mary Wamuhu, the late Esther Njoki and Rachel Wanjiru. She was also a beloved Auntie, Grandmother, Great-grandmother and Great-great-grandmother to many. She will be dearly missed. Family and friends are meeting at her home in Lavington.
