Lucy Njeri Thiong’o

Born 09/09/1948 Died 30/04/2017       It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Lucy Njeri Thiong’o, formerly of Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC).
Daughter of the late Patrick Thiong’o Nginyaiyu and the late Hannah Wahu. Mother of Carol Wahu Thiong’o. Sister of the late Sarah Wambui, Teresia Nyokabi, the late Michael Kahihu, the late Teresia Wairimu, the late George Ndung’u and Solomon Kuria.
Friends and relatives are meeting daily at South B, Karuko Road, Karuko Court Two, Golden gate, hse No. 31 I and also at Kanungaga Village, Riruta at 6pm daily.
The Cortege will leave Mater Hospital, on Wednesday 10 /5/2017 at 9.00 am for a funeral service at Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish South B.

The burial will take place at Lang’ata. Cemetery at 1.00pm. There will be a Harambee on Saturday 6/5/17 at 2.00pm at South B, Karuko Road, Karuko court, Goldeng ate Two, hse No.311 at 2pm to raise funds to clear the hospital bill.

Charles Njoroge Kimani (Mandevu)

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing away of our beloved Charles Njoroge Kimani of Gitweku village, Weithaga County.
Son of the late Lincoln Kimani Njuguna and Jane Wanjiri Kimani. Husband of Zipporah Wangeci Njoroge (Gikomba market). Father of Jane Wanjiru (Commission of vetting judges),Winnie Nyambura (Australia), Lillian Muthoni (Once Upon A Child ltd), Lincoln Kimani (Gikomba), Joan Wangari (Australia).
Son-in-law of the late Mr&Mrs Eshibon Mwangi Gakuo of Mihuti village Murang’a. Brother of Nancy (bongo (Kikimbi Enterprises), J. N Kimani (Moonlight insurance agency), Nyingi (U.S.A), Maina (Kenya Taxi Cabs), the late Njuguna and Mwangi, Macharia (Taxi Cabs), and Margaret Wangari. Brother-in-law of Michael !bongo of Ting’ang’a, Stephen Gakuo (Norken), Isaiah Ngotho (Gikomba) among others. Uncle of many and grandfather of Kyla Wangeci.
Family and friends are meeting at his home Kiwanja (Lower Membley), Tumaini House 5th floor Moi Avenue from Tuesday 2nd May, from 6:00 pm and Pefa House Gikomba for prayers and funeral arrangements at 3.00pm daily. The Church Memorial service will be held on Tuesday 9th May 2017 at St. Joseph of Arimathea Thome, next to USIU at 2.00pm. The cortege will leave Kenyatta Funeral home on Saturday, 13th 2017, at 8:00 am for funeral service and burial at their home in Gitweku village , Kiharu Constituency, Murang’a county.

Grandmother of Sabrina Njoki Heck, Zorina Nyambura Champsi, Mohammed Champsi, Stanley Matiru Kamande, Matiru Mwangi and Njoki Mwangi. Great grandmother of Alia Wanjiku Heck and Isaac Stephen Heck. Sister of the late Joram Maim., the late Hannah Njeri and the late Gaciku. Mother-in-law of Ownali Champsi, Margaret Wangui Kamande and Wanjiku Mwangi.

Husband of Mary Mbalu Mwangi (formerly of Kenyatta Hospital). Father of the late John Mwangi, Lucy Wangari and Stephen Gitau, Simon and Dawn Nsimbila of USA, Paul Kimani and Elizabeth Wangeci. Grandfather of Njeri, Kariuki, Ruby,Tifanny, Ciani and Mary. Uncle, Cousin, and friend of many. Alfred Muinde Musilu

1942 -2017         We celebrate a life well lived of Mr Alfred Musilu Muinde (formerly of the Meteorological department) of Kauti Sub-Location, Masinga Machakos County, who was promoted to glory on 30th April, 2017 at 8pm
Husband of Mrs Esther Beth Katunge Muinde. Father of Muinde, Mary, Bahati, Rachael, Nzau and Kilonzo. Father-in-law of Florence Muinde and Elizabeth Nzau. Grandfather of Katunge, Musilu, Joshua, jayden and Beth.
Meetings for funeral arrangements are taking place daily at AIC Ngong Road Church, (located along Ndemi Road, off Ngong Road) from 5:30pm. There will be prayers at the family residence in Woodiey Estate on Saturday and Sunday from 3:00pm.

20/11/1977 – /5/2017    It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Florence Warnaitha Thuku of MP Shah Hospital, which occured on I st May, 20 I 7. Beloved wife of Patrick Karanja Mburu.
Beloved mother of Stacy Njeri Karanja. Daughter of the late Zacharia Thuku Kung’u and Milka Wanjiru Thuku. Daughter-in-law of the late Mburu Karanja and Jane Njeri Mburu. Sister of Alice Nyaguthi, Kang’ethe Thuku (County Commissioner Kakamega), David Mwangi Thuku, Alex Chege Thuku (MD All Seasons Safaris & Tours), Jamleck Gitee Thuku, Samuel Waweru Thuku (K.T.D.A MS), Nancy Njeri Thuku and Beatrice Mwihaki Thuku. Sister-in-law of Wanjiku Mburu, Kamande Mburu, Nyambura Mburu, Njiira Mburu, Emma Kang’ethe, Susan Mwangi, Mary Wangari Chege, Rose Gitee, Phillis Wambui Waweru and Aunty of several children.
Funeral preparation meetings will be held at All Saints Cathedral Kindergarten side on Thursday 4th and Friday 5th May 2017 starting at 5 pm.

 

Clive Mzilikazi Mutiso (George)

 

After 40 years of zest, love, joy, aspiration, setbacks, heartaches and disappointments — all in equal measure – Mzili took his final (though abrupt) bow from this crazy world on 2nd May 2017.
His gentle, warm and loving soul leaves behind many shattered hearts, chief amongst them, Clive Mutiso Snr. (Dad), Margaret Muthoni (Mom), Clive Cetewayo Mutiso and Clive Mshweshwe Mutiso (Brothers), Hellen Lynn Tino and Roseline Eunice Anya (Sisters). His endearing personality will be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles, aunties, in-laws and friends. Family, friends and well wishers are warmly invited for a prayer meeting to be held on 6th May 2017 at The Cathedral Basilica of The Holy Family (Nairobi), in St. Dominic’s Hall, from 2:00 pm, and to a Church Service to celebrate Mzili’s Life – which will be held on 10th May 2017 at The Consolata Shrine,Westlands, from 10:00 am.
Thereafter, his immediate family and close friends will proceed for a private incremation ceremony.

Mwalimu James George Ndubi

1937-1987      Dad 30 years on a bright beautiful Wednesday Morning, Darkness filled our eyes as we watched you take the last breath at bedside. Time can change many things but not the memory this day brings. We think of you in silence and no eye may see us weep, but many silent tears are shed when others are fast asleep.You gave us gifts both great and small but most of all you gave us love the greatest gift. Down here we mourn, not in vain, for up in heaven we will meet again. Today, tomorrow, our whole lives through we will always love and remember you, Dad.
