We the family of the late Penina Mumbi Kirongothi wish to express our deep heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to all our relatives, friends, neighbours and well-wishers who came out in such a large numbers and provided overwhelming spiritual support, emotional support, encouragements, messages of condolence, material and financial support among other gestures of kindness shared with us during the demise of our loving mother.

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Mr. David Kinyua Muriuki who was working in Office of Attorney General, Nairobi. He died through tragic road accident along Northern Bypass on 22nd June 2017, Nairobi. Husband of Generosa Neema Blance, father of Joseph Alvin Muchiri. Son of Joseph Muriuki Kanoru andd Mary Wambui Muriuki. Brother of Caroline Wangari Muriuki and the late Levis wangi Muriuki.

Family and friends are meeting at his Kabaro village in Kirinyaga, Kahawa West (Swallow One Nairobi), and at Abbey Comfort Inn opposite Malindi Dishes along Gaborone Street starting at 5.00pm.

Mother-in-law of Jane Njeri Muthee, Grace Wambui Gichuki, Rose Njoki Babu and the late Polly Wangari. Sister of the late Felix Njenga, the late Geoffrey Mwaura, the late Monicah Wanjiru, the late Eliud Kaguangi, the late Wambui and the late Wallace Karanja. Friends and relatives are meeting daily for prayers and funeral arrangements at her home in Limuru near the Law Courts and at the residence of her daughter Fatuma Wanjiku in Embu, Muthatari opposite Embu Shepherd Academy.

The cortege leaves Gakwegori Funeral Home, Embu on Tuesday, 4th July 2017 at 5 am for the funeral service to be held at St. Charles Lwanga Catholic Church Kamirithu, Limuru. The service will start at 11am. Thereafter, she will be laid to rest at her farm in Limuru Town near Limuru Law Courts. She has left behind 7 children, 25 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.

Loving father of Laurine Munyasa (Conte Design), MacLaurian Shikokoti (UoN), Charles Liyokho Shikokoti (Moi University), and grandfather of James Mille Shikokoti. Brother of Francis Matwang’a, Rose Mmbone, Henry Shikokoti (formerly AFC), Helemina Llanziva (formerly Chief Principal, Eregi Girls), Patrick Lumumba, Mary Shikokoti, the Late Beatrice Isiji, and Hedwig Shikokoti.

There will be a church service at his home on Friday, 30/06/2017 starting at 10.00am. Burial will take place on Saturday, 01/07/2017 at his home in Makhokho village.

Dear dad, its now Three years since you left us.

Its 8 years since you departed from us suddenly and too soon to eternity. The life we shared with you is still fresh in our memories.

Co-wife of Dorothy Wodenyo, Luciana Malack, Philice Indimuli, and Rose Malika Arunga who cared closely for her until her final breath. She leaves to cherish her sweet memories, 33grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. The cortege will leave St. Mary’s Hospital Mumias on June 29, 2017 at 11.00. This will be followed by a Church Service at St. John’s Church – Mukhombe. Burial will be on Saturday July 1, 2017 at her home in Ilala Ebukambuli, Khwisero, Kakamega County.
