It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on to glory of Sgt.(Rtd.) Mathews Adeka Okello formerly of Kenya Police Service which occurred on 24th June, 2017 at the Kenyatta National Hospital.

Husband of Mama Consolata Adeka (Nyamwagwe Butchery- Burma Market). Son of the late Mzee Jairo Okello Songa and Mama Mary Atieno Okello. Step son of Mama Jael Okello, Clementina Owade, Peresila Otwala, Monica Onjiri, Helida Owala, Catherina Okech, the late Hippolitus Owade, the late Oketch Gulo, the late Christopher Otwala, the late Jared Onjiri, the late Alfred Owala among others. Brother of the late Jane Akongo, the late Margaret Gauza, the late Eunice Gor, Rose Gor, Mary Jabungu, the late Vickson Jalango, George Mai, George Odondo, the late Maj. Gordon Malowa, the late Songa Okello, Geoffrey Otwala, Jeckonia Misolo, David Osuo, Maurice Okoth, Francis Okech (Kenya Airways), Benard Otieno,Alice Arwango, Margaret Oluoch among others. Family, Friends and Relatives are meeting daily at his residence in Jerusalem Estate Block M8-3005 and his Rural Home in Olago-Kamkwaya, Bondo of Siaya County.The cortege leaves Umash Funeral Home on Thursday 6th July, 2017 for a requiem mass at Our Lady of Visitation Catholic Church, Makadara from p.m., thereafter for an overnight stay at Jerusalem Estate. Burial will take place on Saturday 8th July, 2017 at his home in Olago Kamkwaya Village, Uyawi Sub-Location Central Sakwa Location in Bondo of Siaya County.

There will be a major fundraiser on Saturday 1st July, 2017at All Saints Cathedral to defray medical and funeral expenses. Contributions can also be sent to Paybill No. 326688 – Mathews Adeka Okello Funeral Fund.
