Wife of Peter Njuguna Karanja (Thairu). Mother of Salome Nambui Kamau (KNH), Lucy Wairimu Chege (Nakuru Gen. Hospital), Mary Wanjiku Mundia (Loitokitok), Simon Karanja (Evade), Daniel Ng’ang’a (Nairobi Bottlers Ltd), Moses Gitau (Botanical Extracts Athiriver) and Jane Wacera (Ministry of livestock Nyeri). Sister of Grace Wacera, Joseph Ndungu and the late Ben Gatoho.

Family and friends are meeting daily at her home Waithaka, Dagoretti from 6:00pm for prayers and funeral arrangements. The cortege leaves P.C.E.A Kikuyu Mortuary on Tuesday 25th July 2017 at 9:00am for holy mass at St. Jude Catholic Church Kabiria at 11:00am. Burial will take place at her home in Waithaka Dagoretti near AMREF at 2:00 pm.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Funeral home on Tuesday 25th July 2017 at 7:30 am for a funeral service at His Gatundu Residence, Makohoko, Miiri, Gatundu North and burial at the same place.
