It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of Lt Col (Rtd) John Samson Oyunge which occurred on 3rd July 2017 at MP Shah Hospital after a long illness.

Son of the late Nehemiah & Elizabeth Oyunge of Riokindo village in Majoge Masaba. Step son of Agnes Moraa & the late Jemimah. Loving husband of Anne Oyunge (formerly of Pyrethrum Board of Kenya, Nakuru). Father of Plounne Oyunge (FSD Kenya), Pervins Mariga (BBOXX Capital), Brian Oyunge (KICC) and Titus Oyunge. Father-in-law of Jerry Mongeri and grandfather of Johari and Lloyd.

Brother of Jemima, the late Okerosi, Tabitha, Grace, Joyce (UK), Hellen, Col. Oyunge (KDF) and Omambia (USA). Step brother of Daudi, the late Elijah, Augustine and Zedekiah, Job, Charles, Henry, Pacifica, Esther, Florence and Kepha. Uncle of Jameson, Lydia (UK), Damaris Ondiba (KDF), Alloyce (USA), Yobesh Mogaka (Ministry of Water), Elga (NMG) and Asenath (UK), Shem, Sindiga, Ombaso, Rogito (UK), Mercy, Geoffrey & Humphrey (UK), Nehemiah Kibegwa, Justine, Rita, Owen, Sarita, Samuel (KDF) among others. Nephew of Okemwa, Nyamamba, the late Nyanchoka and the late Kibegwa. Brother-in-law of the Marigas, Mbakas, Okiomas, Mosetis, Abuyas, Nyangaus, Kamoris (TZ). Son-in-law of the late Mr. Patroba and Milka Mariga, Donald Kamori & joseph Abuya. Korera of Esther Mongeri.

Friends and family are meeting at City Hall Nairobi, Kokeb Restaurant Nakuru and at his Kiamunyi residence in Nakuru every day from 5.30pm for prayers and funeral arrangements.

There will be a fundraising at City Hall Annex in Nairobi on Tuesday 11^th July 2017 from 5.30 pm and at Old Town Hall in Nakuru on 12th July 2017 at 5.30 pm.

The cortege leaves Umash Funeral Home Nakuru on Thursday 13^th July at 11am for a requiem service at Kiamunyi East SDA Church at 2pm.

The funeral service will be held on Friday 14th July at Olive Gardens Kiamunyi, from 10am followed by the burial at his Kiamunyi Home.
