It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Gaylord after tragic accident on Langata Southern Bypass road.

Beloved partner to Joyce Kinyua and father of Selina Melti Okinda. Son of John Melti Okinda and Selina Okinda. Brother of James, the late Kimida, Lilian, the late Christine, Emily, Ruth, Oscar, Kenneth, Derrerrick, Donald, Karen, Mercy, Joseph, Rose, Victor. Nephew of Fredrick, Omach, Agatha, Josephine, Juliana, Odinga, Felistas, Tom Mboya among others. Cousin of Robert, Alloys jnr, Haggai, Tom, Praxedes, Nicholas, Oswald, Dennis, Dorah, Esther, Diana, Roy, Cindy, Jeff, among others.

Family is meeting daily from 5.30pm at his resident Langata Uhuru Gardens phase 2 hse no 1668 and Vesba Eatery, Development house.

A fundraiser would be held on Tuesday the 3rd at Railways club from 5pm. A Requiem mass will be held at Umash Chapel on Thursday the 5th from 7am.

Loved ones never die, they leave behind a legacy that lives in our hearts forever.

Mother-in-law of Ruth, Mary, Margaret, Elizabeth and Sophia.Aunt of many and will be missed dearly by her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The cortege leaves St. Mary’s Hospital Funeral Home Mumias on Thursday 28th September, 2017 at 9:00 am for a requiem mass at St. Marks ACK Church Buchenya and thereafter proceed to her home at Emunyiri village for overnight stay. The burial will be on Saturday 30th September, 2017.
