It is with humble. acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of the late retired County Director Meteorological Department Tharaka Nithi County, Mr. Gilbert Mabuga Muruga which occurred on 25th January 2018.

Son of the late Jonah Muruga and the late Martha Micere of Kaitheri Village, Kirinyaga County. Husband of Jacinta Wanjiru. Father of the late Patrick Muthee, Martha Micere, Ruth Wanjiku and Caroline Wamuyu. Brother of the late Anthony Mathenge, the late Faith Wamuyu, Julius Njogu, Margaret Wanjira, Rose Wanjiru, Joseph Muriuki, Simon Wanjau, Stephen Mwangi and Jacob Maina. Uncle and grandfather of many.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his home in Kaitheri at 5.00pm for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege leaves Kibugi funeral home on Friday 2nd February 2018 at 9.00am for prayers and burial service at his home in Kaitheri.

We the family of the late George Mburu Njoroge, thank the Almighty God for his providence and the gift of Mzee George as a caring husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, great grandfather and a friend. His memories shall forever remain in our hearts. The late George was a blessing to many and left an enduring legacy.

We wish to acknowledge the overwhelming support and expression of sympathy, love and good will from relatives, neighbours, friends and well-wishers. We were touched by the numerous visits, prayers, phone calls, sms, emails condolence cards and words of sympathy which provided great comfort during our moment of sadness and sorrow.

Our profound appreciation to Fr. Thuo Bahati parish, and the congregation of Christ the Teacher Arutani, Fathers from St. Joseph’s Seminary (Molo) who presided over the funeral service, moderator Rev. George Wamani, Solai Boys, Arutani, Akuisi & Muhiga Secondary schools.

We are indebted to the funeral organizing committees at All Saints Cathedral, Runda and Solai . We sincerely appreciate the support from all friends who gave their resources that gave George a befitting send off.

Our sincere thanks to the care givers and staff at Texas Cancer Center, Prof Mungai, his staff and all other doctors involved in his care.

To all of those who selflessly gave resources and dedicated their precious time, kindly accept our heartfelt gratitude and appreciation for the overwhelming support.

She was the daughter of the late Nahashon Murage and the late Jacquelene Murage of Karaini Village, Kirinyaga County. She was the beloved mother of Alexander Ndungu (USA), Lucy Ndungu of Ndungu Njoroge & Kwach Advocates of Nairobi, Robert Wachira Ndungu and Caroline Wachira (USA), Patrick Gathura Ndungu (SA), Jacquelene Nyambura Everett and Jay Everett (USA). Grandmother of Savannah, Chantele, Keysha, Jordan, Jace, Arielle, Corinne and Camilla.

Family and friends are meeting for prayers and funeral arrangements at Parklands Sports Club on 30th and 31st January, 1st and 5th February 2018 at 6 p.m.

Funeral arrangements will be announced later.

Father-in- Law of Muthoni, Susan, Nkatha, Jackie, Jennifer and Karimi. Grandfather of Nyawira, Kathomi, Karani, Mitchelle, Mukami, Olivia, Keziah, Murithi, Gitonga, Nathan, Mawira, Kendi, Mwende, Telvin, Munene and Godwin. Great grand father of Eva Melinda.

Meetings are taking place at PCEA St Andrews Church in Nairobi from Tuesday 30th January from 5 p.m . Other meetings are ongoing at Home in Girira village, Chogoria, Tharaka Nithi County.

The cortege leaves Chogoria Hospital on Friday 2nd February for Girira Village where he’ll be laid to rest on the same date.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at Cardinal Otunga Plaza Annex, St. Cecillia Hall, 5th Floor – Nairobi form 5.00pm to 8.00pm and their rural home in Makunguru Village, Nthawa Location, Mbeere North Sub-county, Embu County.

There will be a fundraising on Thursday 1st February, 2018 at Cardinal Otunga Plaza Annex, St. Cedilla Hall, 5th Floor – Nairobi from 5.00pm – 8.00pm.

Requiem mass will be held at Kenyatta University Catholic Chapel on Friday 2nd February, 2018 at 10.00am.

She will be laid to rest on Saturday 3rd February. 2018 in Makunguru Village, Nthawa Location, Mbeere North Sub-county, Embu County.

Aunt to Debby Wanliku, Daisy Waniiru, Carlos Ngari, Job Ngari, Shanice Wanjiru, Audrey Wanjiru, Justin Kamangu, Jererny Kirera and Adeline Muthoni. Naom was loved by many cousins and friends.

Family and friends are meeting daily starting 6pm at Norwich Union House, Nairob for burial preparations.

The cortege leaves Kiriaini Mission Hospital mortuary on Friday 2nd February 2018 at 9:00am for burial and prayer service at PCEA Rukira Church, Mahiga Parish followed by burial at her family home Rukira, Othaya, Nyeri County.

She was mother of the late Flora Wanjiru Mathew, late Victor Ndungu & late Patricia, late George Bangua &Teresia, Theresa Wangaru & Tom Gutu and late Julia Mugure. Step mother of Leonard Ndung’u, Jane Wangaru, late Purity Njeri, Grace Nyambura, Silvester Kinuthia, Paul Waithaka, Cicily Njoki, Anthony Nga’nga and David Njoroge.

Grandmother of Dennis Mwangi (Knut Embu), Rose Njoki, Luke Mwangi (Pastor, JBA Nrb), Sophia Wangui (Egoji Teacher), Bernard Bangua, James Njoroge (Isuzu Kenya),Teresa Wangaru, John Gutu (Texas USA), Peter Kiguta- (Calgary Canada), Lucy Wawira, James Mwaura (IT Consultant, Nrb), Agnes Njoki (Ireland), Emily Njeri (EWASCO-Embu), Bernard Kiguta, Robert Kariuki (Nrb county Govt) and Patrick Ndung’u (Nrb county Govt). She had 36 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchiidren.

The cortege leave Kyeni Mission hospital mortuary or Saturday 3rd February 2018 at 10.00 am to Kithunguthia Catholic Church (Kavangua-Ena) for the burial mass after which she will be laid to rest at her Kavangua home, Embu County.
