It is one year today since you slept into your eternal rest, but you will forever be woven in our heart. We thank God, for giving us the honor of calling you “Mama.” Although you left us suddenly, we appreciate that time has been a great healer and God continues to comfort our family Though far away, we were always connected via your witty jokes and huge personality. We miss your infectious big Laugh, your teachings regarding our family history, your steadfast faith in God, your knack for social etiquette and your love for your family and friends.
Mummy, we love you and miss you every day, but find peace In knowing that you are with the Lord_ We miss everything about you but when we look up in the heavenly clouds we feel you smiling upon us There Is nothing more that fills us with pride than to call ourselves your children.
Deeply loved and missed by your children: BeatrIce Waithera, Triza Wanjiku, Ann Nyokabi and Sheila Mwihaki, your sons-in-law, your grandchildren and great grandchildren. Finally, we take this opportunity to sincerely acknowledge the people who aided us during Mama’s last tourney a well as those who have been instrumental in walking with us through this difficult time. Our special thanks goes to the Padres of Christ the King Catholic Church Amalemba, the Sub-Parish Choir, the Local Administration, the local community, friends, family and all well-wishers who turned out to pay their respects to our Mother and continued to offer us kind thoughts, prayers and messages of hope to the family, one year on. Please know that your love and support has pulled us through a very challenging year and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Oh Lord, in your loving arms we entrust our beloved Mother. May her soul continue to rest In peace until we meet her again. Amen

It is now two years since you left us so suddenly.
Sorely missed by your husband, Dr G.J.Wanjohi, Children Karen Wambui, Timothy and Jackie Githinji; grandchildren Lisa Wanjiru, Sean Martin, Chiara Kane; great grand-daughter Nadia; brother Jack Buis, sisters Mary VanderByl, Bertha Vaags, Dianne van Hoff, Wilma and Albert VanderPloeg, Adriana Uken, Greta and Joel Hoekstra; her brother-in-law Ignatius Theri and his wife Grace Ngima; foster children John and Naomi Kimani, Joyce and Eric Onstad, Olivia Njeeri and Alec Gathieri. Not to be forgotten are her friends of Quiet Day, Prayer Group, IEMK, and CASE, to mention only those.
We continue to carry out your works of charity and mercy, and to care for the environment.

Moses, at this 2 year mark, the tears we shed are those of enduring grief and sorrow and tempered by deep unyielding love, reflection, courage, and resilience. Simply, we miss you. We remember the love you had for your children and the pride you shared in their lives and their successes. We miss your laughter, enthusiasm for your interests, patience, steadfast support and kindness. Your life and your passing taught us about love, compassion, forgiveness and freedom.
