The greatest comfort during our sorrow was the sympathy and support conveyed to us in so many heartfelt ways. We deeply appreciate your thoughtfulness, kindness and overwhelming generosity.

We, the family of the late Grace Karura Ndung’u, thank you most sincerely.

My beloved wife, our wonderful mother, our graceful grandmother, lovely sister and friend; though you have left us physically, we will forever cherish you in our hearts.

Special thanks to: The Nairobi Chapel and Karura Community Chapel led by Reverend Nick Korir and Pastor Evans Makatia respectively for leading us in prayer and supporting us in laying Mum to rest.

The family of the late Nancy Gathigia Muchira wish to thank all of you who supported us in mourning and laying to rest our dear departed wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, sister-in-law and aunty.

We especially wish to thank the Moderator, Rev. Muhinyia, and the entire PCEA Kerugoya Parish, the Catholic Parish — Kerugoya, and the Anglican Church of Kenya — Kirinyaga Diocese. Her prayer partners in Kerugoya, Karatina, Embu & Nairobi, and friends and family in Kerugoya, Nairobi, Karumandi and Karatina. The members of the Kerugoya & Nairobi funeral committees under the stewardship of Mr. Moses Gachoka and Mr. Pius Muchira. We, the family of the late Salome Nyokabi Muriithi-Wahome (Sally), wish to thank Almighty God for having blessed us with her beautiful soul for 46 years. We thank him for the wonderful memories he allowed us to create and to share with her Sally was a blessing to us and all that she touched.

We wish to convey our heart felt gratitude to all the friends, relatives, neighbors for their warmth, prayers and overwhelming support during this difficult moment. We would like to thank in a very special way, the Funeral Organizing Committee who came together to assist the family to give Sally a befitting farewell. Your time and service will always be appreciated and remembered.

We wish to acknowledge the Catholic Parish Tetu especially Fr. Harman Kiboi, and Fr. Michael Kahurani (Riara Parish Church) together with the beautiful choir who conducted her final Mass. We recognize and thank Pastor Innocent Shikanga of Hope Evangelistic Ministries Huruma and his worship team who stood with us and encouraged us in Umoja. To the wonderful teams of family, friends and service providers who ensured that everything proceeded well on a daily basis during the preparation for and the laying of our dearest Sally to rest, we thank you! There are no words that can truly convey our gratitude and appreciation to all for standing with the family during the trying period.

Since we cannot reach you all individually, please accept this communication channel as our sincere means of conveying our heartfelt appreciation. May God bless you all abundantly.

On Saturday, we celebrate one year since you went to be with the Lord. It still feels like it happened yesterday. It is difficult to forget someone dear who gave us so much to remember.

A great soul never dies. Though it has not been easy for all of us, your wise counsel and life lessons that you instilled on us shall forever remain anchored in our hearts.

We will forever cherish the moment we spent with you.

It is exactly four years since that fateful day when you suddenly left us. Today like many days brings special memories about you. The best are always picked, and you were one of those. The beautiful moments that you shared with us remain etched in our memories. Your blissful personality lives within us even though you are not physically present anymore.

Much appreciation goes to friends and family who saw us through the difficult mourning period. This was through their unwavering financial support and prayers. Special appreciation to the entire Landless community (Thika), the ACK St. John’s Happy Valley Church, the then Goodwish fraternity, Old Boys of Chania High School, Mutef Self Help Group, Wespro Women Group, Munyu Mixed Secondary School and finally the Mountain View ACK members. We would not have managed this journey without the support of our immediate families, the Mulukas of Emanyulia and the Barasa family of Amagoro. Very special and extra ordinary gratitude to family friends Esther Kiarie, the Mungais (Muguga) and the Kamangas for standing with us every single minute from the day ETB left us up to when we laid him to rest.

We the family of the late Mr. Samuel Ondari Obare thank God for the time that he allowed us to be with our dear mum. Special thanks to all the doctors and care givers who attended him during his illness, and in particular Dr. Abwao, Dr. Musau, Dr Wanyoike, Dr. Sridhar (HCG Cancer Care – India), Hope4Cancer (Mexico) clinic doctors, resident Doctors of M.P. Shah — ICU unit and the staff of HCG CCK Cancer Center Nairobi; PCEA Nairobi West, PCEA St. Peter’s Kiaguthu congregations and all those who prayed with and for him; the OMG Medical Fund organizing committee and members, the NHIF, Jubilee insurance, Madison Insurance and all those who contributed towards his treatment in Kenya, Mexico, and India; the Funeral Organizing committees in Nairobi and Kiaguthu; Rev. 1st Anniversary/Unveiling of the Cross

It is one year since you left us and went to be with the Lord. Your love and the sparkle of life that you brought out in each one of us will never dim. We will always be grateful for the wonderful and blessed life that God allowed us to share.

You are fondly remembered by your Husband Mwai, Children Carol, Kirigo, Muthoni, Maureen, relatives and friends.

We the family of the late Capt Boniface Kibe aka Wamaria, wish to express our sincere and heartfelt gratitude to our immediate family and relatives, friends and well wishers for your overwhelming support in prayers, hospital and home visits, material support, and inspiring messages during the hospitalization, funeral arrangements and subsequent burial of our beloved Capt. Kibe.

Special thanks to Dr. Raina, Gevanjee and the entire ICU team of MP Shah Hospital for your tireless effort as you tried to save Kibe’s life; To Kenya Airline Pilots Association led by Capt. WaMurimi, the funds and burial planning committee and members of the various groups that Kibe associated with, asanteni sana.

We were humbled by the support we received from the Clergy and Christians of St. Simon, Kiamumbi Parish led by Rev. Warui and Rev. Muraguri (attached Clergy) ;your presence during the hospitalization and grieving period eased our sorrow. Last but not least, many thanks to Rt Rev. Julius Karanu, bishop of Mt Kenya south and Rt. Rev. James Nganga bishop emeritus of Mt Kenya south and all the other clergy present for conducting the final send off.
