It is with deep regret that we announce the sad demise of Dolatkhanu B. Jamal (Dolly) on Sunday August 11th 2019.

Mother of Karim Pirbhai (Piri) and Munira Pirbhai. Mother-in-law of Salima Madhani Pabhai. Grandmother of Aman, Alyana, Zain and the late baby Ziana.

The funeral Service will take place on Wednesday August 14th, 2019 at the Aga Khan Cultural and Religious Centre Limuru Road at 9.00am and thereafter the cortege will leave for burial at the Ismailia Cemetery Kariakor at 10.00arn.

The Family would like to take this opportunity to thank Dr Hemant Saha, Dr Chaudry, Dr Syan and all the staff and personnel of Aga Khan University Hospital.

We thank the Almighty God for the beautiful and enriching life of the loving father/ brother/ uncle/ invaluable friend Simon was and are grateful for the time he allowed us to share with our beloved.

We, Mrs Winnie Nyakio Wainana, Ian Ngugi Wainaina, Stephen Kang’ethe Wainana and the larger family of the late Ephantus Ngugi Muchugi wish to convey our deepest and heartfelt appreciation to all who stood with us during the time our beloved George Wainaina Ngugi was ill, those who grieved with us after his demise and those who mourned with and supported us during his funeral.

We would not have managed without your physical presence, the spiritual, material, psychological, social and emotional support. Special appreciation goes to the Vicar, Clergy and congregation of ACK St. Stephen’s Church Thimbigua, our neighbours in Banana Hill, our colleagues and professional friends, the business community in Ruaka, the management and staff of Royal Media Services, George’s very special circle of friends, and our in-laws.

Special thanks go to the various medical professionals at Avenue Hospital, Parklands, particularly the ICU team all who worked tirelessly to save George’s life.

We also extend our gratitude to the funeral committees at home and in Ruaka for the excellent planning, as well as to the friends and extended family members who worked tirelessly to give George a befitting send-off.

It is not possible to mention everyone by name, but to all those who supported and stood with us in one way or another, accept our sincere and heartfelt appreciation.

We thank God for the time we spent with George, for the years he lived, and the immense impact he made in our lives and other people’s lives.

We the family of the late Grace Nyambura Kimani, thank the Almighty God for the gift of her life, the times we shared with our beloved Grace.

She was a blessing to us and all that she touched.

Our sincere and heartfelt gratitude goes to all the immediate family, inlaws, relatives, friends and well-wishers for your overwhelming support in prayers, hospital and home visits, material support, inspiring messages, during the hospitalization, the funeral arrangements and subsequent burial of our beloved Grace.

We acknowledge the medical care provided by Dr Gathua, Dr Irimu and the team of doctors they consulted, the HDU and ICU staff in the Nairobi Hospital for the care they extended to Grace.

We were humbled by the support we received from Rt. Rev.Timothy Ranji Diocesan Bishop, Rt. Rev. Charles Muturi, the assistant Bishop, the clergy of A.C.K. St. Marys’ Church Thindigua, led by Rev. Lydiah Nyambura Charles/Vicar/Rural Dean, Ridgeways Baptist Church, Apple Honey Group, Parents and staff of Mumwe Oak School, among other groups that came to condole and pray with us.

We express our heartfelt appreciation to the dedicated planning committee, the excellent and generous service providers ( Party Lounges, The Coca-Cola Company, the Sagret Hotel Team among others) that did the impossible to plan a befitting send-off, for our beloved within the constraints of time.

We owe a big debt of gratitude to many of you. Your presence brought us comfort and strength.

Kindly accept this as our deep expression of our profound gratitude for your exemplary support. You eased our burden by being there and we are forever grateful.

We, the family of Canon H.S. Nyong’o would like to express our sincere appreciation for all who supported us during the difficult time following the passing on of our mother, Dorka Owino Nyong’o, the matriarch of the family.

Our gratitude to the doctors, nurses and physiotherapists who took care of Mama, at home and in the hospital, from time to time. We are also grateful to sisters and brothers in Christ, relatives and friends who visited Mama and fellowshipped with her. We would like to single out Mothers’ Union fraternity for their love and support throughout Mama’s journey.

We would also like to sincerely thank the funeral committees in Ratta, Kisumu and Nairobi chaired by Mwalimu Dickson Oneko, Dr. Mathew Owili and Dr. James Nyikal assisted by Henry Ndede respectively. Our deepest gratitude goes to H.E. President Uhuru Kenyatta and Rt Hon Raila Amolo Odinga who led mourners from all parts of Kenya to pay their final respects to Mama in Ratta at the funeral service presided over by Bishop Otieno Wasonga and the clergy.

We, the family of the Late Angeline “Nyanjugu” Wanjiru Gitonga (Angie), wish to thank Almighty God for having blessed us with her beautiful soul for almost 50 years. We thank Him for the wonderful memories He allowed us to create and to share with her.

To our family, friends and her former work colleagues, who took the time to visit, comfort and condole with us, we thank you and pray that God may continue to bless each one of you.

We would like to thank in a very special way, the Funeral Organizing Committees who came together to assist the family to give Angie a befitting farewell. Your time and service will always be appreciated and remembered.

We also convey our heartfelt gratitude to the St. Austin’s Parish especially Fr. Henry Omwoyo, Fr. Patrick Kariuki and Fr. Oscar (St. Francis Xavier Parish) together with the beautiful choir who conducted her final Mass. We recognize and thank Pastor Njoroge Gachegu who presided over her final interment at. home in Kijabe. To the wonderful teams of family, friends and service providers who ensured that everything proceeded well on a daily basis during the preparation for and the laying of our dearest Angel to rest, we thank you!
