Especially, the National Industrial Training Authority (NITA) fraternity, St. Monica Catholic Church-Kitengela, Holy Family Catholic Church-Munga Parish, Nkoroi Catholic Church-Rongai; Doctors and staff at Max Speciality Hospital-India, Texas, KNH, Meridian Equator, Nairobi, and Aga Khan hospitals and the various clinics that attended to Cece in the last five (5) years. A special thanks to the Catholic Women Association-Kitengela for facilitating her Christian funeral rites.

The family appreciates the prayers directed to God for the repose of Cicelina’s soul; the graces, fortitude, peace and the unity bestowed in the family during these difficult times. The enormous resources gathered to clear bills, is greatly appreciated by each and every member of this family:

We the Githuku family, wish to express our deepest gratitude to our family and friends who have walked closely with us during this difficult season as we have celebrated the ascension to glory of our dear mum, grandma and great-grandma Mary Wambui Githuku. Your support has mattered deeply to us and we are humbled and grateful.

We also wish to extend a special appreciation to Doctors Mwirigi, Hassanali and the full and able team at the Aga Khan Hospital HDU who took such good care of mum and responded to our myriad questions and concerns with patience and care.

We are also very grateful to Rev Kamande and his clergy; the Women’s Guild; the Thika District members of PCEA Evergreen Church and all the Chama’s that mum participated in, including the Sparrows, Pioneers, Mentor Queens, Diamonds; Happy Mothers and more.

Lastly, our heartfelt thanks to Eunice Njeri Mwangi and our beloved cousin Mariam Dahal who devotedly cared for mum over the last few years and brought companionship and vitality to her last years.

Mum loved, prayed, sang, smiled and danced to her sunset and now rests joyfully with the angels.

We remain forever grateful to God for her life.

Happy 70th birthday dad! As we continue to thank God for the life of the late Jackson Gachuki Mwangi, we are grateful for the beautiful and memorable times he created while he lived with us, which we shall cherish for years to come.

As a family, we wish to express our heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming support we received in terms of love, prayers, inspiring messages, financial support and encouragement from relatives and friends.

We the family of the late Gertrude Mumbua Mutangili, would like to, firstly thank God for His Faithfulness throughout our Mother’s (Matriach’s) life and the years that He had given her unto us.

We are forever grateful to all the Church Ministers, Leaders, Groups, Small Christian Communities who visited, participated and conducted prayers during our time of mourning. The continued support during that difficult period has brought us great comfort.

Our sincere gratitude and appreciation goes out to all our Relatives and Friends, who in different ways extended their messages of encouragement, prayers, visits and financial support to our family.

Our deepest gratitude to the Holy Catholic Church, where she fellowshiped and served. Special thank you to the Parishes of Holy Trinity Catholic Church – Kileleshwa, Sombe Catholic Church in Kalanzoni, Kola Catholic Church, Nguluni Catholic Church and Kauti Catholic Church in Kyale, we are Immensely grateful for the wonderful Memorial Services.

We are forever indebted to the organising committee, as well as all other organizations that assisted us accord a warm and dignified farewell to our Matriach.

We, the family of the late Richard Safari Mwandoro would like to express our most sincere thanks for the sympathy and support extended to us during hospitalization and after the sad untimely demise of our beloved.

We wish to specially thank the medical team led by Dr. M. M. Warshow and the entire Aga Khan University Hospital Staff for the care you extended to Richard during his treatment. Special thanks go to Gen. (Rtd.) Samson Mwathethe, who found the time to attend our committee meetings at our home and also mobilize friends to fundraising for the hospital bills.

A special mention to H.E. President Uhuru Kenyatta for his assistance in fundraising for the medical bills without whose help we were overwhelmed. We also wish to thank Father Omondi of The Regina Caeli Catholic Parish, Karen who so kindly accepted to offer mass and final rites for our beloved.

Our thanks also extend to our extended families in Kilifi, Murang’a, Nairobi and abroad, our Tree Lane Neighbourhood Association and our friends who showed so much love and helped and supported us prior to and after the funeral for which we shall be forever grateful.

We also in a very special way thank our organizing committee that sat at our residence everyday and who ensured the smooth process that we witnessed up to Richard’s send-off.

We the family of the late reverend Samuel Mwihia Gichuru thank God for reverend’s life and his service to God and the community at large.

We wish to thank the Office of the General Assembly of the PCEA Church led by the Moderator, Rt Rev. Patrick Thegu Mutahi moderator of the 23rd GA for a very comforting Sermon. We thank the Kirimara West Presbytery, and PCEA Muthea Parish, where he served until his demise, for their leadership and support during our moments in organising his burial and send off.

We wish to appreciate His Excellency the Governor of Nyeri, Mutahi Kalriga together with Hon. Rigathi Gachagua the MP for Mathira, for their support during our bereavement. We also recognise the support of all the Kirk Sessions that Rev. Mwihia Gichuru had served in over the years. We thank the Laikipia Presbytery (his home Presbytery), Thiru PCEA Church, the Maili Saba community and the Chief of the area, for the support they all accorded us. Special thanks go to Mr. Mwangi Muiga, our neighbour in Maili Saba, who was instrumental in ensuring all burial preparations went successfully.

We would also like to thank the Manguo Christian Fellowship and Forest View Group, both in our Nyahurtiru home community, for their support to our Maitu during the difficult period. We greatly appreciate the Mathira Ecumenical Fellowship, all the members of the Reverends and Spouses Fellowship of the PCEA Church, PCEA Emmanuel Church in Thika and neighbours at late Reverend’s Thika residence. We recognise and appreciate the support received from PCEA Juja Parish, Galilee Cell Group of A.C.K. St. Matthews Juja, and Shalom and St. Peter Estate Fellowship Groups in juja.

We wish to thank our in-laws Rev. Moses and Rev Miriam Githinji of CFF Juja and their family for their support. Many thanks go to Rev. John Kibicho of ACK St Andrews Cathedral in Thika. We appreciate the Board of Kanjuri High School in Karatina, and the Principal and staff of Gikure Secondary School in Gatundu for their support. Special appreciation and mention goes to our families as follows: The Gichuru Family, the Mwihia Family, the Mumma Family, the Kiarie (Gakumbi) Family, and the Muchiri Watoro Family including all our relatives and friends. We extend our gratitude to the Doctors and Nurses of Nairobi and Karen hospitals and in particular Dr. Twahir who took good medical care to Francis during the entire period of his sickness. The material and financial support from the larger Kagunyi/Wathika family and all friends, Neema Community Church of Olathe Kansas, Safaricom, members of St. Jude Donholm and commitment of the organizing committee enabled us accord Francis a befitting send off.
