We, the family of the late David Mahugu Thondu, – “King David” would like to thank you for the love, prayers and support you accorded us during and after the demise of our loved one.

Special thanks goes to The Comptroller of Statehouse Governor Kinuthia Mbugua, P.S Thuita Mwangi, amongst other dignitaries who found time to be with us in the committee and on the final day, and particularly the guidance material support.

We are truly grateful to the clergy led by the PCEA St. Andrews Church fraternity, PCEA Mirithu Church, The Capstone Faith Ministries led by Pastor Kamwati. We are also thankful to the schools’ administrations of Consolata School – Westlands, Alliance Girls High School, the Green Garden Schools as well as many other friends and families, and particularly everyone who made the time to join us at Ndeiya for the wonderful send-off we were able to accord King David.

We cannot forget many other special Groups that gave their all financially, their time and other resources. Of special mention, we would like to appreciate the Great Kikuyu Garden Fraternity, Lions of Good Times members and King David Members Club for their kindness, time and loyalty to the Family friendship. We wish to also thank both Chairs and their committee members that sat at St.Andrews Church, Nairobi and Kikuyu to ensure the smooth process that was witnessed on David’s send-of day.

May God bless each one of you most abundantly and especially those of you whom we may not be able to mention by name, group or institution.

Mtumishi, Njeru Kathangu Family, wishes to sincerely thank relatives, friends and colleagues, The Church (Salesians of Don Bosco, Holy Family Minor Basilica, Sacred Heart-Kyeni Parish); Doctors at Aga Khan, Mater hospitals and various clinics that attended to Rosanna in the last one year; the Kenya Police for facilitating funeral and burial teams’ passage, exit and re-entry from and to Nairobi (part of the COVID 19 declared Red Zone). The family feels the prayers directed to God for the repose of Rosanna’s soul; the graces, fortitude, peace and the unity bestowed in the family during this difficult time in our lives are manifest. The enormous material resources gathered to clear bills, serve both Nairobi and Embu homes during the mourning period is greatly appreciated by each and every member of this family: Patrick H. Nyaga, Pauline Warue, Joanne V. Wanjiru, Raymond & Rachel Gitonga and their father. May the boundless generosity of our God reward each one of you as we pray that He listens to our little prayers and continue to be with us now and forever.

We, the family of the Late Rebecca Anyangu Balongo thank God for the time we shared with her on earth and the precious memories that we will forever cherish. We also wish to express our deep and sincere gratitude for the outpouring of love and support over the years, as mama fought cancer until the Lord called her home.

We would like to thank the Anglican communion in Kenya, The Provost of the All Saints Cathedral Nairobi, The Very Rev. Canon Sammy Wainaina and parishoners; the Bishop of Nambale and ACK Busibi Parish in Busia.

Sincere gratitude to the Mothers Union of Nairobi and Busia, Abasangafu Women’s group and Faith Women’s group; Bible Translation and Literacy; Bible Society of Kenya; The global community of friends in Kenya and Canada for their unique and unmatched support during this season.

The doctors and nurses at the Nairobi Hospital and the Ottawa Civic Hospital, Canada, gave mum unparalleled care. Kelly’s Funeral Home in Ottawa and Lee Funeral Home, Nairobi, served us professionally and with compassion. Special thanks to Dr. Radia, Dr. Asimba and Dr. Hall for walking with mum through the years.

Our heartfelt thanks to the funeral planning committee which went over and above the call of duty. As we may not be able to reach everyone personally, please accept our expression of sincere thanks. You shared our sorrow in a very real way and your kindness is more deeply appreciated than we can find words to express.

As we continue to thank our God for the life of Rev. Fr. Peter Ngari Kimani, we are grateful for the beautiful memories he created while he lived with us. We are grateful to all who journeyed with him all along and especially during his sickness. We thank the family members, relatives, friends, and caretakers.

Special thanks to Dennis Gichuki for the great sacrifice he made for Fr. Ngari. We appreciate his doctors (Dr.Wanyoike, Dr. Njau, Dr. Ngugi, Dr. Mbugua and Dr. Waihenya) and the whole Nairobi Hospital fraternity, including the Hospital’s Catholic Chaplaincy. We thank all those who participated in his requiem Masses in Parishes and in his Funeral Mass at the Cathedral. In a special way we thank the Most Rev. Peter Kairo, Archbishop Emeritus of the Archdiocese of Nyeri, the Clergy and the Religious who condoled with us and graced his send-off on 6th April 2021. We acknowledge that due to Covid-19 containment measures, many were not able to attend his send-off but still prayed with us. We say thank you.

May God recompense you all and may the soul of Fr. Peter Ngari continue to enjoy the beatific vision until we meet again.

With sorrow but acceptance of God’s will we laid to rest the body of Anthony Kiringu Nganga at the family homestead in Karingaini, Nyeri on 25/03/2021. We lost Anthony on 21/03/2021 after a short illness.

Husband of Nancy Muthoni Kiringu. Father of Angela Gathoni and Adrina Wambui. Son of Samuel Gichuki Nganga and Cecelia Gichuki. Brother of Anne Kiguru, Patrick Nganga, Agatha Wangui, Michael Wanjau and Thomas Gakiria.

As a family we would like to thank all the people who knew Anthony and reached out to us during this difficult time. These include family, friends, religious groups and institutions.

Thank you for your support and encouragement. We have been greatly touched by your generosity through prayers, moral and financial support which has gone a long way in helping us endure the loss. We release Anthony to rest in the Lords love and care and request that you keep us in prayer.
