The departure from this earth of our beloved Martin Nkonge Muthamia remains painful. God’s grace has been sufficient through this period as evidenced by the incredible warmth, care, support, prayers, and kindness from family, friends, well-wishers and many who stood and continue to stand with us. We are comforted that Martin’s life has impacted so many. As a family, we wish to extend our sincere gratitude and appreciation.

We appreciate our dear relatives, friends, neighbours and well wishers for the outpouring of support in prayers, encouraging words, calls and financial support. Thank you to the entire Staff and community at Aga Khan University Hospital for your professionalism. The team at Lee Funeral Home for being gracious and for your attention to detail, in a special way, the leadership and team at Mamlaka Hill Chapel for offering pastoral care, encouragement and organizing a memorial service. The Methodist Church in Kithoka Meru for a befitting final service and last rites. The funeral organizing committees in Meru and Nairobi. Thank you to all who facilitated and attended the funeral service at home in Kithoka, Meru.

Noting that it is not possible to mention everyone by name, all involved, kindly receive our most sincere appreciation. May God bless you. The legacy you left will continue to flourish through the generations. Rest well Martin.

We, the family of the late Joseph Masege Mwavua wish to express our sincere gratitude and appreciation for your prayers and overwhelming support following his demise.

We thank Nairobi Women’s Hospital-Kitengela, Ruai Family Hospital and their respective staff for the care given to Joseph during his illness. We extend our gratitude and appreciation to the staff and management of PKF East Africa, the Green Park Estate Community and Shimo la Tewa Old Boys Alumni (SOBA) for their immense support.

With sincere gratitude, we acknowledge the valuable prayers and spiritual nourishment to the family by CITAM Athi River, St, James ACK Buruburu, the Vicar and congregation of the ACK St. Stephen’s Mole, Talta. Our heartfelt appreciation to the Bishop Emeritus Samson Mwaluda and his wife, family members, friends, colleagues, and neighbours who provided valuable spiritual and material support. The family of the late Hon. Paul Koinange, MP for Kiambaa Constituency, would like to express it’s deep appreciation for the love, support, telephone calls, emails, text messages, words of encouragement, tributes and prayers from all over the world accorded to us during and after the sudden demise of our beloved Paul.

We are especially grateful to HE President Uhuru Kenyatta for the support you have accorded the Koinange family during the painful process to lay Hon. Koinange to rest. We remain profoundly grateful to former First Lady Mama Ngina Kenyatta, First Lady Margaret Kenyatta, Mr. Muhoho Kenyatta and the entire Kenyatta family for standing with us.

Thank you to the members of the national assembly led by Hon. Speaker Mr. Justin Muturi and a support team of parliamentarians and national assembly staffers who provided logistical and material support. We especially want to single out members of the Departmental committee on administration and national security where Hon. Koinange served as Chairperson for their support and staff members of the MP’s national assembly office and NG-CDF office for your loyalty and support.

We are thankful to Nairobi hospital Covid- 19 center led by Dr. Robert Mathenge and Dr. Muhindi Wanjugu for doing everything possible to save Paul’s life. We thank all blood donors who responded to our calls to donate blood in our quest to save his life. Thank you to Lee funeral home for preparing and allowing us to accord Paul a national heroes send off.

We wish to thank the entire security team from Kiambu County that provided support led by Deputy County Commissioner Kiambaa Sub-county Peter Maina. We cannot forget the funeral committee comprising of family members led by Leonard Koinange as well as members of the parliamentary committee led by Hon. Peter Mwathi and Hon. Edward Kaunya that completed the task of laying Paul to rest in exactly 72 hours under very complex conditions.Thank you. We are thankful to the Anglican Church of Kenya, led by the Rt. Rev. Charles M. Muturi, the Bishop of Mt. Kenya South Diocese for their prayers and spiritual support and the many other local churches and prayer groups that stood with us.

To the people of Kiambaa Constituency for whom as a family we hold a special place in our hearts, thank you for allowing Hon. Koinange to serve you in the true spirit of servant leadership as your MP for nearly eight years. The Koinange family and the people of Kiambaa Constituency remain intertwined forever. Our many thanks go to friends, individuals, church groups, prayer groups, constituents and many others for standing with us.
