We, the family of the late Eng. Stephen Gituma, would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our relatives, friends and colleagues for the overwhelming support offered to us during the periods of our Dad’s hospitalization, treatment, and farewell.

We would like to first thank God for the life of Eng. Gituma, where he served throughout his life as a Christian, husband, father, brother, uncle, civil engineer, leader in various groups, mobilizer of development agendas and a mentor to many. We would like to thank MCK Ongata Rongai, Rev. Kaimenyi, Rev.Gitonga, Rev. Muguongo & Rev.Jeniffer Muguongo for officiating the farewell celebrations and for providing spiritual leadership & support.

We would like to thank the Social and Development groups; Pentaquest, Kigavest, Nkoroi Interactive Forum, Kigane group, UON Civil Engineering class of 1990, Kyeni girls’ class of 85/86, Nkubu class of 1980, Women of Faith, Nkoroi neighbourhood & Karigi Women group for their great support. Special thanks to friends of Engineer Gituma group.

We would like to give our special appreciation & thanks to all doctors, nurses & specialists at Apollo Mumbai Hospital, who worked tirelessly on his treatment and care including Dr. Rajesh Shitaram Shinde, Dr. Ashwan & Dr. Tshar Parmar; the International Patients Relations officers Obaidullah Khan & Bhavika for their encouragement, prayers & support.

We thank the management & staff of Geothermal Development Company, Dell Technologies & The Mater Hospital for the support they gave the family during this period. We would like to thank the funeral planning committee for their invaluable assistance; they ensured our dear beloved dad got a befitting send-off.

It is not possible to individually thank everyone who selflessly supported us through tributes, messages of condolences, prayers and generous financial support throughout this difficult period. We therefore humbly request that you accept this acknowledgement as a token of our heartfelt appreciation. May God bless you abundantly.

He was husband to Suryakala Sobhagayachand Shah. He was father to Rashmi, Nishma, Sima, Lina and Sant

He was father-in-law to Deepak (Strategic Consultants), Nipool (Dunhill Consulting), Sujeet (Rosewood Furniture, Dr. Nikunj (London) and Reena.

He was grandfather to Meera Vinay Mistry, Amar, Vishal, Sneha, Sheena, Alisha, Janak, Vishnu, Raam and Radt-

He was great grandfather to Shaan.

He was brother to Late Amntlal Vidhu Ramji Shah, Late Veluben Jivraj Dharamshi Shah, Late Laxmiben Dovchan Samat Shah, Late Kasturben Meghji Malde, Chandraben Chhaganlal Shah, Pramilaben Chandulal Shah, Late Maneklal Jadavji Rughani, Ishwarbhai Jadavji Rughani and Bhaskar Jadavji Rughani.

He was brother-in-law to Late Maniben Amritlal Shah, Late Chandramani Raichand Shah, Manuben Harakchand Shah, Ranjuben Amritlal Shah, Late Chandulal Karamshi Shah & Pramila, Harish Karamshi Shah & Shilpa. He was uncle to Vatsala & Narendra, Ashok & Anju, Arvind Jyoti, Nitin & Prili, Meera & Nagin Shah, Krishna & Jiten Shah.

Our sincere appreciation to Dr Warshow’s team and Aga Khan Hospital for their dedicated service to Bachubhai. Our sincere appreciation to all well wishers for their prayers.

We announce the promotion to Glory of Mrs. Nellie Njoki Mwangi of Utawala Estate, formerly of Kariobangi South Estate, Founder and Former Principal of Waithaka Technical Center which occurred on Monday 5th of April 2021 at M.P. Shah Hospital.

She was the wife of the Late Mr. Douglas Gakobo Mwangi. She was the mother to John Antony Mwangi, Susan Mwangi and Minnie Wacuka. She was the Grandmother to Duncan, Njoki, Dougie,Wamaitha and Moses. She was a Sister and Nellie Njoki Mwangi. Aunty to many.

The cortege will leave M.P. Shah hospital on Thursday 8th April 2021 for a graveside service at Langata Cemetery at 11a.m.

Monica Nkaimura Mbobua passed away on 13th March 2021 at the Nairobi West Hospital, She was laid to rest on 16th March 2021 at her home in Kambakia Village, Meru County. She was the daughter of the late Hazron M’Mbogori and Zipporah Ngautani Hazron and step-daughter to Sarah Karuki Hazron.

She was the loving wife of the late Peter Mbobua Mwirichia and mother of Patrick Kariuki and Florence Ntibuka, Lawrence Muma and Nellie Muma, Joseph Mutuma and Lilian Mutuma, James Munene and Jackie Munene, Hezron Muriuki and Liz Muriuki and Joseph Ochoga and Jackline Ochoga.

She was a doting grand mother to Mercy Kariuki, Manases Macharia, Trevor Mabeya, Ashley Nkatha, Nathan Muthomi, Ian Mutethia, Lexie Makena,Asher Mugambi,Abbey Nkirote, Kimberly Wangari and Imani Ochoga.

She was a sister to Marangu and Bernice, Mwaria and Margaret, the Late Rebecca, Gregory & Judith, Marion & Kaaria, Joyce & Ephraim, the late Jeremiah & Esther, Karani & Jennifer and the late Florence, the late Gatobu and Susan, Kirimi & Lucy, the late Gichuru and Lydia, Mwari & Amenya, Gitonga & Makena, Gacheri and Murithi, Kithinji and Selina. She was an aunt to many.

The family wishes to express its sincere and heartfelt gratitude to family, relatives, friends and well-wishers for the overwhelming moral, material and spiritual support extended to us through prayers, messages of comfort and encouragement and personal visits after the passing on of our dear mum..
