He was born on 05/05/1983, in Kamune Village Mathioya Sub-county Murang’a County. Son of the late Mwangi Kamandi and Joyce Wanjira Mwangi.

Husband of Phylis Wacera. Father of John Mwangi, Joyce Wanjira and Stephene Mwaniki.

Brother of Duncan Maina (Kenya Pipeline), Douglas Kamendi (Nairobi), Onesmus Mucunu (Principal Giakanja High School), Catherine Nduta, David Karanja, Esther Wanjiku, Harrison Karuno. Uncle of John Mwangi, Grace Wanjira, among others.

Cousin of Philip Wachira, Gerald Wachira, among others.

Friends and family are meeting everyday at his residence in Nyayo Estate from 6.00pm.

The body lies in K.U. Mortuary, burial will be on 15th May 2021, at Kamune Secondary School grounds, Kamune Village, Mathioya Sub-county, Murang’a County at 10am.

The cortege leaves Lazarus Funeral Home Kericho on Friday 14th May, 2021 and the body subsequently interred at her home on Saturday 15th May, 2021 at Kapsogut Village, Cheboin Ward, Buret Sub-county, Kericho County.

She was the Deputy Principal of St Mary’s Andingo Girls.

Daughter of the late Gabriel Waga and Hellen Amolo Lang’o.

Wife of Luke Otieno Omwandho. Co-wife to the late mama Angeline Aoko Omwandho, Adoring mother to Mercelline Amolo, ldah Akumu, John Robert Omwandho, Leah Nyang’oro, Maria Omwandho, Beatrice Achieng, Stephen Kungu, Cecil Waga, the late Austine Otieno and Lawrence Omuta.

She is the grandmother of Taraji Ndinda, Liam Israel, Brian, Melvin, Faith, Noelle, Austin, Angie and Natalie. She is the mother-in-law to Dennis Masila, Jackline Olonde, Dismas Nyanya and Quinter Muga.

Daughter of the late Mzee Olambo Ang’ila and Mama Penina Olambo.

Step-daughter of the late Mama Joan Olambo of Seme Sub-county, Kombewa Division, Ngere West Sub-location, Kobita Village, Kisumu County.

Daughter-in-law of the late Mzee Laban Andom and Mama Lorna Awuor.

Mother of George Oguna, Benard Oguna, Margaret Ang’awa, Monica Owigo, Pamella Onyango and Gordon Oguna. Also mother of the late Maurice Oguna, Mary Akoko, Kennedy Oguna and Charles Oguna.

Beloved wife of Colonel (retired) Dr James Otieno Ayugi formerly of Forces Memorial Hospital.

Mother to Teresia Adhiambo Ayugi, Robert Omondi Ayugi and Sandra Awino Ayugi.

Daughter of the late Mzee Barnabas Agola and the late Mania Mary Achieng Obiga.

Sister to Elizabeth Ochoo, Francis Owour (late), Jane Atieno Nangah (late), Judith Awuor, George Agola (Kenya Army HQ), Michael Omolo and Emerentia Adhiambo.

Daughter-in-law to the late Baba Joseph Ayugi and Mama Helena Ayugi.

The cortege leaves Montezuma and Monalisa Funeral Home along Thika – Kenol Road at Kabati at 8:00am on 18th May 2021.

Her funeral service will be held at her home in Githunguri Village, lyego Location, Kangema sub-county, Murang’a County, beginning at 11am. Burial will follow thereafter at the same place.

All Ministry of Health (MoH) protocols will be observed.
