Loving husband of Jerusa Karungu. Son of the late John Karungu, the late Lilian Wambui Karungu and the late Phyllis Wanjiru Karungu.

Father of Andrew Martin Karungu Chege, Angela Wangeci, Steve Thube Karungu & Violet Njeri.

Grandfather of Elizabeth Njambi, Patrick Karungu Chege, Paul Mwangi, Patrick Chege and Michael Ngunjiri.

Brother of the late Daniel Kamau and the late Edah Njoki, Mary Wanjiku and late James Gacheru, the late John Ngige and Penina Inyanje, the late Henry Mwaniki and Margaret Wanjiku, Julia Wanjiru and the late Charles Gichuru, Josephine Muthoni, the late James Githua and the late Margaret Nyakiringa, the late Henry Antony Mwaniki and Esther Nyokabi, Jane Muthoni and J.C.Njoroge, George Kamau and Serail Wairimu, the late Cecilia Nyambura, Pauline Wambui and Moses Wainaina.

His body is lying at the Aga Khan University Hospital Mortuary.

Funeral service will take place at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Parish on Tuesday, December 22nd from 9.00am, after which he will be laid to rest at Lang’ata Cemetery.

We celebrate the life of Prof. Francis Mwaura, who went to be with the Lord on 14th December, 2020.

He was a long-serving Professor at the University of Nairobi.

He is survived by his wife Lydia Mwaura and their children Wambui Mwaura, Mwaniki Mwaura and Wanjiku Mwaura.

Son of the late Nobert Mwaniki and the late Keziah Mwaniki.

Son-in-law of the-late Peter Wanyutu and the late Rachel Wanyutu.

Brother of Joseph Mburu, the late Helen Mwaniki, Stephen Kimani, Dr. David Mwaniki and the late Anne Sampo.

Brother-in-law of Samuel Kimanjara, Margaret Njoroge, Phyllis Gathaara, the late Joseph Kahiga, John Gacui, Ruth Ndung’u, Moses Kahuho and Mary Waithira.

He was interred on 18th December 2020.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, 23rd December, 020 at St. Paul’s University Chapel, Nairobi at 11:00am.

The Institute of the Blessed Virgin Mary (Loreto Sisters), wish to announce that, Sr. Mary J. Breid Cunningham, went peacefully to God, on 18/12/2020, at 0.30am.

She came to Kenya in 1947 and was a great Educator. She lived and worked for 73 years in various Loreto institutions including: Loreto Eldoret, Loreto Mombasa, Loreto Valley Road and Loreto Msongari.

Sr. Breid will be greatly missed by her Loreto sisters, family, pupils’ and friends.

The cortege leaves Montezuma Funeral Home on Tuesday 22/12/2020 for the Requiem Mass at Loreto Convent Msongari Chapel at 11.00am. Thereafter she will be laid to rest at St. Austin’s Cemetery.

We celebrate the life of a Hero of Faith Rev. Dr. Joseph Wenangla Murupus, former Moderator of the Reformed Church of East Africa and Director Rev. Murpus Group of Schools & Lelan Natural Mineral Water Co., in West Pokot.

He left us to be with our Lord on the 10th of December, 2020.

Son of the late Murupus Moiben and Chepo-talam. Son-in-law of the late Daniel Siang’ole and Ko-Kevin of Siyoi village.

Together with Mary Theresa Murupus they created a loving home for their children the late Kevin, Gilbert, Nobert (Co-op Bank), Robert, Cornelius (System Engineer-LTK), Margaret (N.I.S),Ann (Karas High School) and Rhoda (West Pokot County Assembly).

Brother of Jackson, Ko-kibet,Veronica,the late Milka, the late Ko-Chepengat and the late Kama Samuel. Cousin of the Lotiolos.

Loving father-in-law of Caudensia, Grace, Salome, Catherine, Penga’t and Owino.

A wonderful Grandfather of Nancy, Brian, Emmanuel, Abigael, Brenda, Honest, Kevin, Prudence, Collins, Shalom, Blessing, Charity, Purity, Ian, Albert, Joy, Emmaculate, Santana, Prince, Darrell, Barbara, Faith, Ruth, Rachel, Gabriela, Emmanuela, Elianah, Nathan and Mycah. Great-grandfather of Terry. Uncle, friend and loved by many.

Rev. Murpus will be sorely missed by his family and friends. We bid him farewell, at his home in Chewoyet Village,West Pokot, on 22nd December, 2020.
