It is with God’s grace and humble acceptance that we announce the untimely demise of the late John Kingori Muchiri, General Manager at Intercity Secure Homes Limited. He is former Head of Security at Family Bank, Senior Security Investigation Officer at Equity Bank and OCS in different police stations in Kenya. He rested on 22nd November, 2020 after a short illness.

Son of the late George Muchiri and Veronica Wanjiku Muchiri. Beloved husband to Mary Wangechi Kingori, father to Morris Muchiri, Ryan Kimaru and Victoria Wanjiku. Brother to Margaret, Charles, Peris, Lydia, Lucy, James, Paul, Moses and Mary.

Brother-in-law to Githinji, Muchori, Patrick and Mwaura. He was Uncle and Cousin to many.

Family and. friends are meeting daily at Comfy Hotel (Kahawa Sukari), his home in Mwihoko and parents’ home in Othaya from 5:00pm.

The cottage leaves KU referral funeral home onTuesday, 1/12/2020 at 7:00am followed by funeral service at Gatuyaini home near Othaya Boys High School.

Husband of Beatrice Njeri Waithaka, son of the late Ibrahim Wairagu and the late Mumbi Wairagu. Father of Patrick Wairagu (United Kingdom) and James Njenga (Australia). Father-in-law of Maria Mogale (United Kingdom) and Loise Wanjiku (Australia). Grandfather of Zenaida Waithaka, Nathaniel Waithaka and Eleanor Waithaka (United Kingdom), Brother, Uncle, Cousin, In-law, Friend, Teacher and Mentor to many.

Friends and relatives are meeting at their home at Komarock Estate.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Funeral Home on Tuesday 1/12/2020 at 9am for funeral service and burial at Ruai, Nairobi.

The cortege leaves Christamarianne Hospital on 29th November 2020 for the reception mass at Embonga Catholic Church and burial on 30th November 2020 at his home in Nyamare (Bogichora) Village.

Nephew of Prof. Linnet Gohole, Eric Kapule, Ruth & David Omondi, Sarah & Paul Kasana, Concepta & Gilbert Okodoi, Capts. Bilha & Elisha Amadi, Oscar Esohe, Monica & Joe Sheperdson, Lilian & Dan Oyaro, Felix Katumanga, Calisto Esohe and Lydia Esohe.

Cousin of Tim, Miranda, Yunia, Joshua, Victor, Vivienne, Valerie, Samantha, Elizabeth, Rose, Timona, Leila, Gianna, Noreen, junior, Miriam, Hannah Samuel, Joshua, Jayden, Hayley, Mason, Gift and Fidel. The body lies at the Kenyatta University Funeral Home. The cortege leaves Nairobi on Thursday 26th November, 2020 for his parent’s farm at Kwa Njoroge (Sinenet) near Mwamba, Lugari. Burial is on Friday 27th November, 2020. Observe COVID-19 rules, keep safe.

She was the loving wife of Harrison Mumasi Muhalya and mother to late Edwin Jack Lihalakha and Rinah Ayuma Muhalya; sister-in-law to Wycliffe Muhalya, Onesmas Mumasi, Livingstone Miheso, Rose, Hellen, Jescah and Dinah. She was daughter-in-law of the late Joseph Muhalya Lihalakha and the late Alice Muhalya. Beloved daughter of the late Rev. Jactone and late Mama Tabitha Olenja of Ebwali, Bunyore; sister to Charles, Adonijah, Winstone, Casper, Byrum, Esther and Timothy Olenjas, Asneth Khaimia, Velma Mudanyi, Noel Mbaruk and the late Rinah. In law to Mary Olenja. Auntie to Liz Muhalya, Alice Khendi, Diana Olenja, Linda Khakali, among others.

She was a sister to the Late Antony Mario, the Late Charles Magolo, Peter Magolo and Mrs. Rose Achieng Muga. Daughter-In-law to Mzee Zadock Okoko and Mama Stella Okoko of Wire Village, Kasipul Sub-county, Homa Bay County. •

She was loving Wife to the late Ishmael Redempta Atieno Opiyo Okoko. Mother to late Maureen Opiyo-Okoko Akinyi, Hastings Opiyo, Fredrick Opiyo, Arthur Okoko and Andrew Okoko all of Arlington Texas U.SA. Grandmother to Collins Omondi. She was a sister-in-law to the Okoko’s of Wire Village, Oyugis. Redempter Opiyo was an aunt, an in-law and a cousin to many.

Burial will take place on Friday, 4th December, 2020, at her home in Wire Village, Oyugis starting from 9am.
