It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of our patriarch Francis Kimani Wanene that occurred on 14th June 2020 after a long illness. Former estate manager at Lomolo and Athinai Estates. He was the Kanu chairman in Rongai and BOM member at Athinai Secondary School.

Husband of the late Veronica Njeri Kimani and Rosemary Wanjiru)Kimani. Father of Wanjiru, Wangu, Njambi, Wanene, Wairimu, Wanjiku, Farrah, Emmy Njoki, Kinyanjui, Njenga, Kirara, Kuria, Njoki, Gathoni, Muchai, and the late Nduta and the late (Wanene, Muthoni, Njenga). Father-in-law of Kariuki, Omamo, Ndirangu, Karuga, Baraza, Ndung’u, Daisy, Elizabeth, Loise, Priscilla, Brone, Ann and Joyce. He was blessed with many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The cortege leaves Egerton Funeral Home on Friday 19th June 2020 at 9am for funeral service at his Njoro Farm, Nakuru County.

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the untimely death of Mr Ernest Kiprotich Kaitany, formerly CEO Kenya Armateur Athletics Association, Director of Sports and The Ministry of Trade, on 16th June 2020 at his home in Chebior, Elgeyo Marakwet County.

He leaves behind his beloved wife Madam Gertrude Cherotich Kaitany and children: Joan Joram (Kengen), Oscar (KDF), Frida (Nairobi Metropolitan) & Dr. Benjamin Kaitany (Vihiga County Hospital).

Father-in-law of the late Enos, Caroline, Dr Mutinda, Jennifer, Marion and Alex. Loving Son of the late Kipyuk and Teriki and Martina Chepkeitany of Kipluus Village, Sergoit Elgeyo Marakwet. Son-in-law of Kapsum of Cheburbur. Brother of the late Nicholas, the late Tamurei, the late Lukah. Paul, Walter, John, the late Phillip, the late Joseph, the late Lina, James, Francis, the late Catherine, Mary, Veronica, Flora, Helen and the late Regina. Doting Grandfather of Nicole, Valerie, Kiki, Chepkurui, Abel, Mark, Elsa, Myler, Elmer and Elvin.

Family and Friends are meeting daily at his home at Chebior.

The cortege leaves Kaptarakwa Funeral Home for service at his home on Friday 19th June 2020 and burial on 20/06/2020.

The cortege leaves Matata Nursing Home mortuary on 19th June 2020 for her home in Mumbo in Kodera North Location, Homa Bay County.

Beloved wife of Samuel Mavuti. Loving mother of Ann Mbula and Dan Mutinda. She was daughter of the late Mukethe Kinuna. Sister of Timothy Musyoki and Stephen Mutua. Daughter-in-law of the late Mr and Mrs Mavuti Kalungu. Mother-in-law of Philomena Mukonyo and Dominic Mulei. Niece of the late Munyenze and the late Mulwa and Joyce Mulwa. Aunt of Mukethe, Mumbua. Mwongeli and Syokau. Cousin of Mary, Paul, Dr. Muithya, Ndinda, Kyalo, Musyoka, Kilonzo, Sammy among others. Grandmother of Bernard, Vivian, Immanuel and Lavenia.

Funeral Mass and burial will take place on Saturday, June 20th 2020, at her home in Kitandi Village, Makueni County.

It is with the humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Peter Kyalo Mutie which occurred at Kenyatta National Hospital, Private Wing, on 8th June 2020 after a short illness.

Until his passing on, he was the Deputy Head Teacher at Kathonzweni AIC Boarding Pri School, and a part time lecturer at Machakos University and South Eastern Kenya University. Peter is the beloved husband of Janet Mwende of Miondoni Secondary School. Loving father of Joy Ndanu and Jovian Baraka. Son of Lucia Mutie and the late Paul Mutie Mbuvi. Brother of Angelina Kyonda, Patrick Mutie, Francis Mutie (Ministry of Defence), Boniface Mutie (NSSF), Theresia Musyoka (Kwaithi Sec). the late Dr. Pius Mutie and Dr. Pauline Mwinzi (WHO).

Son in law of Rose Nzamu and the late Patrick Nzamu. Brother-in-law to Pauline Nzembi, Esther Muthike, Valerina Mumbua, Julius Mwendwa, Stephen Kyonda, Francisca Ndulu, Dorcas Ndinda, the late Monica Maluku, Simon Kiilu, Juliana Mutisya and Dr. Maurice Odiere. Cousin of Philornena Mwilu (Judiciary), Munee, Paul Ndambuki, Mumo, Mumbua, the Kiekas, the Nguluis, the Kiambas, among others. Nephew and uncle to many.

Moses Wangula Khasiani of Rosterman Village, Shilele Ward, Lurambi Sub-County Kakamega County passed away on Saturday April 25, 2020 while undergoing treatment at King’s College Hospital, London and was buried on Monday June 8, 2020 in London. We rejoice in the knowledge that he  now rests in eternal peace in God’s hands surrounded by his beloved father the late Jeremiah Khasiani, his mothers the late Teresa Musava and the late Tabitha lnyambula and his brother the late Tom Khasiani.

He will be greatly missed by his son Bernard Muya, daughters Dina and Christabel Chiyumba and other children, his grandson Bradley, granddaughters Winnie and Victoria, his brothers Arthur Khasiani, George Khasiani, and Reuben Khasiani, his sisters Shanyisa Khasiani, Emmah Engotse, Violet Khasiani, Joyce Mullabu, Beatrice Ossome and Millicent Khasiani, his sisters-in-law Christine Khasiani, Anne Khasiani, and Sarah Khasiani, his brothers-in-law the late Jairus Engotse, the late Matthew Mullabu, and Ben Ossome and his many cousins, nephews and nieces.

Memorial services to celebrate his life will be held in Nairobi and Rosterman Village, Kakamega County on dates to be announced later.
