It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Zelipah Wanjiru Wamwangi on Sunday 27th April, 2020.

Daughter of the late Eliud Kagema and Shiphirah Wachera and Alice Waturi. Dear wife of the late Nicholas Wamwangi. Sister of late Simon, the late Muturi, Mary, Esther, the late Nelson, Wanjue, Monica, Muthoni, Julius, Wanjiru, Nyawira, Maina and Kuril. Mother of the late Alice, John and Rachel, Eliud and Lillian, the late Ann and the late Richard. She was grandmother of Shiro, Niko, Nick, Emmanuel, Sheila and Alicia.

The burial will take place on 1st May 2020 at Langata Cemetery. In line with the prevailing government guidelines, there will be no gatherings or prayer meetings at her home and funeral service will be limited to members of the family. A memorial service will be held in due course.

Brother-in-law of Mercy Nyaboke Kimanga and Dennis Kimanga.

Body leaves Kenyatta Memorial Funeral Home, on 30th April 2020 at 6 am in the morning. Burial will be on Thursday 30/4/2020 at home in Nyandarua county, Olkalou Constituency, Kaimbaga ward, Kieni village.

Loving uncle of Anais Eshimuli DJ Franzese, Harper and Asher Blumberg, Pamela Mekaliza. Nephew of Alice Awimbo, Dr. John Olonga, Phinehas Khaaba, Constance Mambala, Erick Bwibo, Margaret Osewo, Rispa Agola, Beatrice Ongoye, Philip Musibi, Grace Masakhalia, James Khaaba, Fred Wanga, and the late Christine Marega among others. It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing away of Paul Gitau Kihiu (of C&R Group), who rested in our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on 26 April, 2020 following a short illness.

Paul was the husband of Margaret Kihiu. Son of Daniel Kihiu and Esther Kihiu. Son-in-Law of Benson Mwangi and Hellen Mwangi. Loving Father of Daniel Kihiu and Selah Kihiu. Brother of Michele Kihiu, Rose Kihiu, Sophie Kihiu and Grace Muriithi. Brother-in-law of George Weru, Muthoni Mwangi, Patrick Mwangi and Gilbert Mwangi; and a Cousin, Uncle and Friend to many.

There will be a memorial service broadcast online on the Karura Community Chapel Facebook Platform and YouTube Channel on Thursday 30th April, 2020 at 12 noon.

The Cortege will depart from Montezuma Funeral Home and proceed to Lang’ata Cemetery to lay our beloved to rest on Friday 1st May, 2020.

It is with deep sorrow and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the sudden death of Mzee Samuel Suter Kanda (also known as Blackii) of Kakimoiyo Village, Korou Sub-Location, Marakwet East District, who passed on at the Moi Teaching & Refferal Hospital (MTRH) Eldoret while undergoing treatment.

Son of the late Mzee Kanda Kiptoo (Rianangiro), the late Kogo Kimoi Kanda (Ko’Murkomen), and Step-Mother the late Kogo Talaa Kanda (Ko’ Kipkosgei). Brother of the late Ko’Jerono, the late Chesir, Shadrack Kassegero, the late Salina Jackson, the late Kimwole, and the late John Chelang’a. His step brothers and sisters are Joshua Kanda, Paulo Kanda, David Kanda, and Jane Anthony. Father of Samson Kipkemoi, Susan Jepyatich, the late Stephen Korir, Eng. Emmanuel Kimutai, and Daniel Cheruiyot. Grandfather of Kevin, Noela Meshack, Onesmus, Nahashon, Brigid, Ruth, Gideon, Meshack, Joy, Victor, Faith and Neema.

The cortege leaves MTRH Memoral Home on Tuesday 28th,April 2020 for a brief viewing at his residence in Moror Kakimoiyo village where he will be laid to rest. Burial will be on Wednesday, 29th April, 2020.

Jimi and Willgrida (Wish) were blessed with 4 children Tessa, Maria, Thelma and Lukushi.

Loving son of Retired Bishop John and Abyshag Mahiaini. Brother of Zipporah, Karue, Mutua and Stephanie, Wanyeki and Mary, Maina and Lucy, Kiiru and late Mercy, Paul and Catherine. Uncle of many nephews and nieces and grandfather of three.

The burial will take place at Gathukiini village, Murang’a County on Thursday 30th April 2020 at 11am.There will be a live stream for those who would wish to follow the burial proceeding online.

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of the late Isaac Jonathan Ogada Ouko which occurred on 24th April 2020.

He was born on 9th August I 975 to the late Mama Grace Ouko and the late John William Ouko of Karombo, Nyahera Sub Location, North Kisumu. Grandson of the late Jonathan Ogada and the late Persila Magara and the late Charles and Peres Atieko of Usenge, Yimbo. Brother of the late George Okore, Robert Abayo (St Paul’s University), Charles Rombo (KAA), John Ouko (Everstrong) and Elly Ouko (Mombasa). Doting father of Grace Ouko. Brother-in-law of Jane Olweny (Nation Media), Rose Rombo, Maria Ouko and Beldine Ouko. Uncle of Christine, George, Angel, Imani, John, Wilson, Grace Jennifer, Marianna, Paul, Grace Eurelia, Joy and Michael Junior.

Uncles: the late Walter Rombo, the late Justus Kasuku, the late Peter Oliech, the late Reuben Okinda, Naboth Okore and Walter Okore,Tom Kungu, J Bodo, H. The body is currently at Chiromo Mortuary. Burial to be held on Saturday, 2nd May 2020 at his parent’s home in Karombo Village, Nyahera, Kisumu County.

Called Home at Last

Hezron Gichuki, whom many will remember as retired Administration Registrar University of Nairobi and former Councillor, Naro Moru Municipal Council was called to his final rest on the evening of 25 April 2020.

Son of Joseph Karuri Gichuki and Evelyn Kirigo Karuri of Munyange Village, Othaya, Nyeri and beloved husband of Teresia Gachambi and the late Alice Nkirote.

Father of two Joseph Karuris, Helen Kirigo, Rebecca Muthoni, Maggie Wanjiru, Evelyn Kirigo, Ian Kiogora and Patrick Mwai. Father-in-law of Paul Davis, Beatrice Waithira, George Kinyanjui, Florah Waithera, Khamis Chome, Beatrice Wanjiru and Annette. Grandfather of Rebecca, Gathoni, David, Marion, Sarah, three Hezrons, Kinyanjui, Maureen, Cynthia, Badi and Terry.

He was the eldest son of 36 siblings. We thank the Lord for his grace and mercy in giving us our beloved father, husband, brother, uncle and grandfather for all those years.

He will be laid to rest at his farm in Kikuyu on Wednesday 29 April 2020 after a brief private service at 10:00 am.
