He was son of the late Benard Njiru Njogu arid Penina Wakathare Njiru. Husband of Eunice Waithera Nyaga and Faziraci Ayubu Nyaga. Father of Loice Wakathare Nyaga, Michael Ciuri Nyaga, Mariam Wakathare Nyaga and Ishmael Ciuri Nyaga. Brother of Joseph Muthike Njiru, Jonah Kamami Njiru, Lucy Wakaria Njiru and Winfred Wamweru Njiru. Brother-in-law of Margaret Wangui Kamami and Mary Wangeci Muthike. Uncle of Penina Wanjiku Muthike, Grace Wanjiku Wakaria among many others.

There will be a requiem mass at All Saints Cathedral Nairobi on Tuesday 21st May 2019 at 2 00p.m.

Friends and family are meeting daily at the All Saints Cathedral, Nairobi and at his Kirimunge home, Kirinyaga County starting at 5.00 PM.

The cortege leaves Lee funeral home on 22nd May 2019 at 07.00 am for a church service at St Faith ACK Church, Kirimunge, Kirinyaga County at 10.00 am. Burial will be there after at his home in Kirimunge.

Brother to Atanus, Elizabeth, the late John, and the late Ernest. Father-in-law to Christine, Chao, Betty, Edith, Judith, Nienga and Reuben. Relatives and friends will meet on Saturday 18th May 2019 at 2pm, Luther Plaza, along Nyerere Road for a Harambe towards burial expenses.

The body will leave Nairobi on Thursday 23rd May 2019 at 11.00 am for his rural home in Ikulumwoyo Village, Bukaya Location, Mumias sub county in Kakamega County.

Requiem mass will be held on Friday 24th May 2019 in Bukaya. Burial will take place on Saturday 25th May 2019 in Ikulumwoyo Village.

Brother of the Late Susan Achola, the Late Martin Okelo, the Late Raphael Onyango, the Late James Gamba, the Late Jacob Osino, the Late Julius Opondo, Marya Achieng, the Late Peter Omondi and Vincent Yuya Ojwang. Father-in-law of Hon. Oloo Aringo, Evelyne Ogwa, Dorothy Oduor, Olive Kamande, Everlyne Mwende, Omondi Otin and Jenifer Otieno. He is survived by several grand children, and great grandchildren.

Japuonj taught many people who today are serving the Nation on various capacities. He was a teacher at Segere, Liganwa, Kowet, Hono, Rambo, Gendro and Siaya Township etc.

The cortege leaves Bama Funeral home on Friday 17 May 2019 at 10.00am for a requiem Mass at Mbaga Mission Catholic church from where the body will be taken to his home in Segere for the night vigil.

The Burial will be on 18 May 2019 at Mzee’s home K’Oluoch Yuya in Segere Village, Siaya County.

Daughter of the late Amboka Wameyo and the late Were Amboka. Beloved wife of Mr John Omamo. Sister of the late Flora Maliatso, the late Oleng’a Amboka, the late Ogombe Minabo, the late Mamboleo Amboka, the late Ndoya Amboka and the late Ashioya Amboka. Sister in law of the late Anyuolo, the late Haggai Minabo, the late Mukhuli Ndoya and the late Shichinji. Mother of Everline Atieno Kangu, the late Amboka Andere, Angelina Were Andere, Anne Akhonya Makokha, Margaret Ornamo Anyanga Wangila, Jemima Omufisi Omamo, Alex Kuya Omamo, Ruth Omamo, and Louice Lwamba Omamo. Mother-in-law of the late Sam Makobi Kangu, Welensky Makokha, John Wangila Mocho, Mildred Atieno Kuya, the late Olivia Kuya among others. She was a grandmother of many grandchildren, had many great-grandchildren and some great-great grandchildren. The late Nandwa, as she was fondly known to many, was a generous woman who sought to help anyone whenever she could.

Family, friends and well-wishers continue meet for funeral arrangements, at her home in Muhaka and at All Saints Cathedral Kindergarten in Nairobi.

The burial will be held on Sunday, May 19 at her home in Muhaka Village, Kakamega County.

Brother of Hannah Waitherero, Benedeta Gathoni, the late Kariuki, Janet Wanjiku Kariuki, Titus Kinyua, Njoki Kagai “Msambweni”, Mwalimu Maina Kagai, “Watuka” Nyeri, Kariuki of Kakamega, Jack “Makomboki” and others.

Father-in-law of Anne Nyambura and Grace Wanjiru. Grandfather of Francis, Keith, Gitonga, “Katosh”, Mwihaki, Stacy, Tiffany and Naomi.
