Mzee Jinaani Nzioki Mbiuva

Wistfully, on July 30, 2025, Mzee Jinaani Nzioki Mbiuva, former long-serving Hansard reporter and editor at Parliament of Kenya (1983-2015), completed his magnificent and impactful journey in this world. He of Nziu Location, Makueni Sub County, Makueni County, whose family also partly settled in Dzombo Ward, Lunga Lunga Sub-County in Kwale County.

Son of the late Mbiuva Nzioki and Milkah Muthembwa Mbiuva.

Loving husband of Agnes Mbithe Nzioki, and dedicated father of Harriet Ndindi (RDN), Matilda Ndanu Kamau (Media), Belinda Ndoti (Advocate), Kiambi Nzioki and Nelson Kimweli. Father-in-law of Kenneth Kamau (DJ Kamjo), and grandfather of Arthur Mwangi Ngige and Njogu Kamau (NK).

Brother of Agnes Kalewa, Peninah Mueni, the late Kalondu Mbiuva, Phyllis Nditiva, the late Ndumi Mbiuva, Damaris Ndunge, Ricky Kyalo and the late Mumbua Mbiuva.

Step-son of the late Nzoloi Mbiuva, and step-brother of Mutena Wambua, the late Justus Kiio, Peter Muema, the late Jonathan Mutuku, Kasavi Mbiuva and Kaswii Mbiuva.

Son-in-law of Mary Katuu Daudi and the late Daudi Kimweli. Brother-in-law of Sammy Daudi, Christine Nthiwa, the late Kamangu Daudi,Veronica Mbithi, Sabina Mutindi, Boniface Mbatha, Amb. Carolyne Kamende Daudi (High Commissioner of Kenya of Canada), the late Musumbi Nzola, John Maingi, the late Musyimi Zakayo, Bernard Kioko and Rhoda Mukonyo. Uncle, father figure, mentor and dear friend to many.

Relatives and friends are meeting daily for prayers and funeral arrangements at All Saints Cathedral at 5.00pm, at his Nairobi residence in Greenfields Estate Phase 4, and at his rural home Tumwalani Farm in Muthyoi village, Nziu Location, Makueni Sub County, Makueni County.

The cortege will leave Nairobi West Hospital Mortuary on Saturday August 9, 2025 at 7.00am. The burial ceremony will be held at Malooi Primary School in Nziu Location, Makueni Sub County, Makueni County, followed by interment at his home,Tumwalani Farm.
