It is with profound sadness and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Yvonne Chepchumba which occurred on 29th April 2026 while undergoing treatment at Fortis Memorial Hospital, India.

Yvonne was the dear daughter of Weldon and Jackline Koskei. She was a loving sister of Duke Kiprono and Arabelle Chepkoech.

She was a grand daughter of late David Melek and Samari Melek of Olenguruone and Diana Koskei of Mogogosiek. She was a loving niece, cousin and friend to many.

Family and friends are meeting daily for prayers at their home in Kamakis Ruiru from 4.00pm.

The memorial service will be held on Thursday 7th May 2026 at Good Shepherd AGC Church, Ngong road from 2.00pm to 5.00pm.

It’s with profound sadness and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Godfrey Wachira Gichohi of Jambo House- Nanyuki, which occurred on 03/05/2026 after a short illness.

Godfrey was the youngest son of the late John Gichohi Waigwa and Magdarene Wacheke Gichohi and the late Jane Muthoni. He was the brother of the late Simon Waigwa, Peter Gichigo- PGG Enterprises, Veronica Waguthi, David Myvangi-Jambo House, Jackline Waguthi and the late Kevin Waigwa. He was brother in-law of Catherine Waigwa, Winnie Gichigo, Robert Waithaka and Collins Macharia.

He was a loving dad, caring cousin, uncle. grandpa and friends of many.

The cortege leaves Nanyuki Cottage Funeral home on Monday, 11/05.2026 at. 8 00am for funeral service at the family’s farm, Mureru, Naromoru, Nyen County starting at 10.00am and thereafter interment at the same venue.

Daughter of Joseph Wanyarna Mukhongo and Madam Gladys Nafula Mukhongo, retired head teacher Buchangu primary school. Daughter-in-law of the late John Wekesi Malaba and the late Mama Judith Wekesi.

Beloved wife off-VVekesi Michael — Bungoma County. Dotting mother of Johann, Davineh and Reinah.

Sister of Caren Mukhongo (KEMSA), Dr, Nanyarna Mukhongo (Kisumu County), Bradley Mukhongo (Public Service Commission), Valentine Mukhongo (Kenya Prison Service) and Gloria Mukhongo among others.

We mourn the passing of Professor Emeritus Clement Meshack Peter Oniang’o, which occurred on 30th April 2026.

He was an accomplished scholar in Philosophy. devoted husband, brotner, father, grandfather, uncle, colleague and friend to many.

Prof. Oniangio taught at Kenyatta University and the University of Nairobi, where he also served as Chairperson of tie Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies. and then Dean of then Faculty of Arts ancdSocial Sciences,

Father of Lt. Moses Wanyeri, Lt. Rachel Wambui, James Karanja, Joseph le! Kimondo, Samuel Wainaina, Clement Muya, and Ngatho Matu. Cherished grandfather of 16 grandchildren.

Brother of Lt. Josephine Wanjiru Waigwaini, Johana Kimondo, Esther Muthoni Nyagah, Lt. Gladys Muringi Muturi, Lt. Clement Muya, Lt. Hosea Kimotho, to Naomi Wambui Wahato, Lt. Clement Njogo, Lt. Stephen Kiboi, and Helina Nyokabi Ndegwa.

Viewing of the body will take place on Tuesday, May 12th at Umash Funeral Home from 7.00 am to 7.45 am.

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Prof Mabel Nangami Nyarango, an Associate Professor and the immediate former-Dean of the School of Public Health at Moi University, Board Chair of Bungoma County Referral Hospital, and Board Member of AFROHUN and a profound researcher at the AMPATH Consortium, that occurred on 29th April 2026 following long illness bravely borne.

She was the beloved daughter of Mzee Jacob Neyole Masinde and the late Mama Selinah Kisaka Masinde and cherished sister of Dr Alice Nakhumicha. late Sammy Masinde, Ms Irene Masinde, the late Nathan Temba, David Soita Masinde, and Prof, Edward Masinde Neyole.

Mabel was the loving wife of Professor Peter Mokua Nyarango and devoted mother of Archibold Ombongi Neyole Nyarango and Brian Nyandieka Wekesa Nyarango.

Sister in law of Mrs Rose Ayugi Temba, Mrs Caroline Neyole, Mrs Elizabeth Onwong’a, Mrs Grace Nyarango, Mr George Nyarango, Mrs Jane Muraguri, Dr Nicholas Muraguri, the late David Nyarango, Henry Nyarango, Nancy Nyarango, Janet Nyarango, Josephine Nyarango, Lillian Nyarango, Robin Nyarango, Joyce Ongayo, Samuel Ongayo and the late Christine Nyarang’o.

The Memorial Service will be held at Moi University Annex Town Campus, Eldoret on Tuesday 12th May 2026 starting at 12:00 noon presided by the PCEA Church. Thereafter the body will be taken to the residence at Elgon View Estate for overnight vigil.

He was the son of the late Mulinge Mulwa and the late Serail Ngina.

Dr. Mulinge was a devoted dad and a lovin father of Magdalene Ngina, Jax Mulinge and Eleanor Mulwa.

He was a beloved brother of Agnes Ndinda John Mulinge. Esther Nzilani, Margaret Mbithi the late Dorothy Mbula, Stephen Mutuku and Harry Muinde,

Brother-in-law of Anne Mulinge, Bernedette Mutuku and Janet Wambui. He was also a cherished and loved uncle, cousin and friend to many.

He was the father of Joseph K Mwaniki Muriuki (KEMRI),IreneWairimu (Formerly of Taifa Sacco), Purity Wangui (Rikii Spe School Nanyuki) James Mahinda (Naro-moru) Charles Ndirangu Muriuki (Kenya Building Union) Mercy Nyangari (RLC adv), Lucy Gathoni (Burma), Caroline Wangari (Naivasha), John Theuri, Stephen Mugo (Stage Shuttle) and the late Nicholas Njoroge.

He was Father-in law of Joyce, Phyllis, Tabitha and Ann. He was grand father of Catherine, Christine, Evalyne, Redempta, Sandra, Brandon, Robin, Philip, Christopher, Alfred, Faith, Ryan, Caleb,
Celestine, Shantell,Tracy and Styzi. He was a great grandfather of Heather, Hazeal, Samoa, Maria, and Jezililo. Uncle of many.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mama Teresa Nyaboke Omoke on 29 April 2026, while undergoing treatment at the Aga Khan University Hospital in Nairobi.

Born on 25th December 1944 in Kisii County, Mama Teresa was the daughter of the late Ann Moraa and Onyiego Ogwora. Mama Teresa was the wife of the late Joseph Omoke, and is survived by her loving children, Hon. Richard Momoima Onyonka (Senator, Kisii County), Stella Omoke (USA), Jackie Omoke (IFC, Nairobi), Judy Omoke (USA), Modester Omoke (USA), Evelyn Omoke (USA), Jimmy Omoke (Nairobi, Kenya), Peter Omoke (USA) and Emmanuel Omoke (USA). Mama Teresa was blessed with over 45 grandchildren including Papa, Moraa, Teresia, Baraka, Laura, Trevor, Jaden, Kimberly, Lucas, Breanna, Jazzmine, Hudson & Tristan. Her great grandchildren include Vayda, Zayne, Xeyna & Wayde.

She was a sister of the late Sister Damian Boisabi,the late Charles Angwenyi, the late Prisca Nyaribo, Clemencia Siro, the late Joseph Onsongo, Dr. Ben Akenga, Mary Sese, Francisca Mokeira, Lucy Nyangau, Gladys Getugi, John Onyiego and James Kaundia.

Mama Teresa was a daughter-in-law of Linus & Macline Monari. Sister in-law of Euvinalis Simi, Salome Obaga, Martha Keuku, David Ayoga, Mary Kwamboka and the late Agnes Nyatuka. She was an aunt, mother-in-law, korera and a great friend to a big clan and many.

Mama Teresa was a banker at Gusii Farmers SACCO until she retired in 1994. She loved education and was a member of several school boards including at St Mary’s Nyabururu & Nyabururu National School. She was a devoted member of the Catholic Church and served with commitment and devotion in various capacities at the Nyabururu Parish. She was the founding Chairlady of St Alberts The Great – Jumuia. Her home at Nyamataro was always open to many whom she provided and supported. Mama Teresa was a great community organizer and mobilizer, skills that she always deployed to campaign for her eldest son, Senator Onyonka, and for causes that she cared for. Her legacy lives in our heart and spirit. Daily meetings are being held at her home in Nyamataro.

The main fundraiser to offset medical bills and other funeral expenses will be held on 12/5/2026 at 5:00 pm at All Saints Cathedral (Paybill Name:Teresa Omoke. Paybill No 4574579 Account No:Your Name)

There will be a Requiem Mass on 13/05/2026 at Don Bosco Catholic Church in Upperhill, Nairobi at 2:00 pm.

The cortege will leave Montezuma Funeral Home, Nairobi on 14/05/2026 for a Requiem Mass at 2.00 p.m and thereafter a public viewing at Nyabururu Parish-A night Vigil will follow at her Nyamataro home. The funeral service will be held at Monarc Hotel, Mosocho on 15/5/2026 from 9.00 a.m followed by a private and Internment at her home in Nyamataro Estate.
