It is with heavy hearts, deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the untimely demise of Andrew Oware Ogwindi, Commissioner of Cooperative Societies, Trans Nzoia on 13th January, 2017.

Son of the late James Oduor Ogwindi and Mama Abigael Ogolo Ogwindi of Simenya sub-location, Siaya County. Beloved husband of Beatrice Oware. Father of Shirley Oware (TUK), Berverlyne Oware (USIU) and Clinton Oware (Kibabii High School). Brother of Jane, Rose, Dorcus, the late Malian, the late Ruth, the late Samuel, the late Dennis and the late Christine Ochieng’. Son in-law of the late Sabianus Odhiambo and the late Sane Odhiambo of Imbaya village. Brother-in-law of Mildred, Mary, William, Andrew, Paul, Jackson, Timothy, Caro, Ruth, Nikal, Lucy, Anne, George, Erick and Linda. Uncle of Stephen, Rebecca, Rose, Victor, Susan, Dennis, Rodah, Walter, Jackline, James, Humphrey, Clinton, Stacy, James, Nereah and Maryline.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his home Simenya, Nairobi and Bungoma. A funds drive will be held on Tuesday 24 January, 2017 at the Tumaini Meeting Chambers at 6pm.

The cortege leaves Lumboka Memorial Hospital on 26 January, 2017 for a night vigil at his residence I Bethel estate. The body leaves Bungoma for Simenya on 27th January, 2017 for church service at 11am at St. Andrews Church. The burial will take place on 28th January, 2017 at his hone in Simenya, Ugenya.

The County Government of Samburu and the family of the late, Mr. Bernard Saidimu Lenaronkoito announce his sudden death, that occured on Tuesday 17th January 2017.

He collapsed while conducting a full board meeting. Loving husband of Carol Eugenia Lenaronkoito. Father of Kelvin, Melita, Naanyu, the late Nabulu and Victoria. Son of Kingori Lodongori Lenaronkoito and Napukwe Lenaronkoito. Son in-law of Sorotia Letikirich and Nelkisale Lemosio. Brother of Jane Nankakwai, late Manati, Ltajewa, Kirati, Lekeyon, the late Mongoru, the late Laramat, Yabara, Tarasan, Pariken, Kasaine, Neneu, Nentien, Charar,Tamiyoi, Loponyu, Kushati, Leangop, Lekisai, Loshiling, Sundey, Ntomi, Nantarwan, late Ntintayo and Perori. Grandfather of Saruni, Kosikosi, Casey, Sabache, Lenjoe, Naserian,Alvin, Somoire, Cherono. Father in-law of Lang’at, Cecilia and Nika. First cousin of the late John Keen. He was the current Chair of The Public Service Board of Samburu. He was formerly the General Manager KMC and MD Kenya Dairy Board and also recently the Board Chairman of Rift Valley Institute of Science and technology and Board Member of Kenya Vetinary Vaccine Service (KEVEVAPI). He also served as a board director of Kerio Valley Development Authority and was also the Samburu District Coordinator of Constitution of Kenya Review Commission.

The burial will take place at his home at Ngari Wells, six kilometres from Maralal Town in Samburu County on Wednesday 25th January 20 17.The mass will start at 10:00am.

He graduated from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology with an Undergraduate Degree in Business Information Technology in 2016 and was pursuing a Diploma in Programming and Database Administration.

Burial will take place on Monday 23rd January 2017 at the same place.

1960 – 2017

It is with great sorrow that we announce the death of Dr Elijah Mukhala on 16th January 2017 in Nairobi, Kenya.

Until his death, Dr Mukhala was serving as the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) Representative for Eastern and Southern Africa, in the WMO Office in Nairobi. Our heartfelt condolences go to his wife Maria Mukhala, his children Lilly, Suzyo and Lusunga and the other members of his family. There will be a funeral service on 20th January 2017 at the Nairobi Chapel (near the Jamhuri Show Ground), from 9am.

Dr. Mukhala will be buried on Monday, 23 January 2017 in Lusaka, Zambia, his home country. Condolence books are open in WMO Office in Nairobi and in Geneva, Switzerland.
