It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the sudden demise of our beloved mother, grandmother and aunt, Consolata Adhiambo Otera (Connie) on 17th February 2017. Wife of Elijah Otera and mother of Grace Otera Ochieng’ (Safaricom Ltd), Christopher Otera (AFDB-Cote de’ Ivoire), Brian Jabes Otera (Safaricom Ltd) and Deborah Aloo Otera (KU). Mother in law of Aggrey Ochieng’ and Harriet. Grandmother of Naima and Connie. She was the daughter of the late Albert Othwila Osore and Philister Aloo Othwila. Daughter-in-law of Christopher Onyango Otera and Grace Luchiri Otera. Sister-in-law of Peter, James, Zabion, Aggrey, Doris, Margaret, Sarah, Ibrahim, Justin, Lucas. Sister of the late Josephine Gwada, Wilfrida Anyango, Charles Ochieng’, the late George Osore and Margaret Atieno.

Major fundraising on Tuesday 28th February 2017 at All Saints Cathedral starting from 5:30pm. Requiem Mass to be held on Thursday 2nd February 2017 at 10am at All Saints Cathedral.

Son-in-law of Clement Makori and Mama Rose Makori. Grand son of the late Atandi Nyakeyo and the late Mama Mokera Atandi, the late Nyatigo Onyancha and the late Mama Kemunto Nyatigo. Brother-in-law of Dan, Richard, Kennedy, Jackson, Peter, John, Mogusu Makori and Sarah Nyatigo. Grand-father of Ondieki, Annasi, Sure, Marwanga, Asande, Nyangwara, Motanya, Ong’era omong others. Nephew of Mrefu Atandi, Samson, Daudi, Banana, Jasper, Peter Annasi, Osero, Onyancha, Justice Onyancha, Nyaliaro and Senator Mong’are Bwokong’o. Cousin of Nyatigos, Teri, Sawe, Marwanga Marwanga, Turphena, Emily, Charles, Pastor Tom, Peter Nyandege, and Charles Brake among others. Family and friends are meeting daily at his home Sironga Village for funeral arrangements. There will be a main fundraising today 23rd February 2017 at his home, Sironga. The cortege leaves Bwomboga Mortuary on Thursday 23rd February 2017 for burial on Friday 24th February 2017 at his home Sironga village, Nyamira County.

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Salome Wanjiku Njiru, who died on 20th February, 2017. Daughter of the late Kamau Gikanga and Eunice Waruguru. Wife of the late Andrew Njiru Kathendu. Co-wife of Felister Methanje. Mother of Philomena Njoki, Purity Muthathai, Silas Njeru, Peter Kamau, Joseph Nyaga, Mary Ruguru, Patrick Mwaniki, Alice Wawira, Lucy Wambui and Esther Munyua. Sister of the late Philomena Wairimu and Lucy Wambui Maina. Step-Mother of Dionisius, Teresia, James, Rose, Monica, Anselemina, Jane and Evangeline.

Mother-in-law of Phineas Ndwiga, Peterson Muthathai, Hellen Wanjiru, Mercy Wanjuki, Janet Mbiro, Francis Kariuki, Nicera Wanjira, Mary Kanjiru and Isaac Munyua. Auntie, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to many.

Friends and relatives are meeting at Gicherori home, next to Nguviu Boys’ High School at 3.00pm, Prime Hotel Embu at 5.00pm daily and All Saints Cathedral on this week – Thursday and Friday – at 5.00pm. The cortege leaves Gakwegori Funeral home on Tuesday 28th February 2017 at 9.00am, flowed by funeral services at Gicherori prayer house and burial at her home.

It is exactly 20 years today since you suddenly left us to rest in Christ. You were beloved daughter of Rufus Kahando and Charity Mweru Kahando.

You are fondly remembered and missed by your husband, Rufus Waigi, Children: George Nyoro, Tuesday Njeri Chege, Charity Mweru Waigi, Faith Nyoro, Chege Githiora and Charles Muriuki, Grandchildren:- Waithera Nyoro, Ian Muriuki, Githiora Chege, Nyaguthii Nyoro, Njeri Nyoro, Wambui Chege, Nduta Muriuki and Amani Nyoro. Wife of Kennedy Thuo of Mukangu village (Ken CD). Beloved mother of Martin Kamau, Lorna Gathoni and Levy Mwangi. Daughter of late former Councillor Mwangi Muturi, Elizabeth Wanjiku and Fransiscah Mugechi. Sister of Gedion Muturi (Businessman), Stephen Njoroge, B. Gikoba, Rosemary Nyambura (NCC) Sarah Wairimu, Priscah Njoki (Zanzibar), Loise Muthoni (Pumwani Secondary School), the late Macharia, Susan Njeri, Patrick Muturi (NCC), Thomas Muhia (NCC), Jane Wanjiku (USA), Antony Kimani (Businessman), Sarah Wairimu. Auntie of many.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at Timboroa Hotel along Sheikh Karume Road starting Monday 6pm. The cortege leaves Kenyatta Univesity Mortuary on Friday 24th February 2017 starting at 8.30 am and later proceed for burial at her husband home at Mukangu village, Kahuhia location, Murang’a County at 11am.

Doting mother of Sylvia and Simon Rotich, Jackline Jeptum, Pamela and Bethuel Bissem, Caroline and Alex Macharia, Kennedy Osore and Edwin Aduyu. Grandmother of Kipruto, Kibet, Victor, Ariella and Wangu.

Until his demise, he was the ODM chairman for Kitutu Chache North Constituency. Son of the late Sospeter Angwenyi Masagate and the late Mama Peninah Nyakwara of Marani Village, Igemo Sub location, Mwagichana Location, Marani Ward in Kitutu Chache North Sub County.

Loving husband of the late Carren Kwamboka and Florence Nyaboke. Father of Hellen (Kiamogiti Primary), Jared (Administration Police), Risper, Faith (TZ), Calvin, Dennis and Mercy. Helen Nyambura Gathu

Sorrowfully, we announce the death of Mrs Helen Nyambura Gathu of Kihingo, Bibirion Ward, Kiambu County. A daughter of late Daniel Meku and Eugenia Wanjiru and a loving wife of the late Francis Gathu Kieya. Until her death, she remained a loving mother of her children; Jane Wanjiru Kamau, Assumpta Wambui Maina, Bibiana Wanjiku Kamau, Gorret Muthoni, Vincent Kieya, the late Regina Wairimu, Daniel Ng’ang’a and Catherine Njeri.

Daughter-in-law of the late Jackson Kieya Gathu and Elizabeth Wambui. Sister-in-law of Joseph Ndung’u, late Christopher Thairo, Jane Wairimu Njoroge, Sophia Wanjiku Ndung’u, Florence Njambi Ng’ang’a, David Giathi, Anna Mweru and Professor Kieyah. Also a sister of Theresia W. Wangigi and late Maryann Muthoni, Aloise Kimani, Gerald Gichuru, Darius Wamagwa and Joseph Maim. She is survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was a woman of great faith who devotedly served her church, St Francis of Asisi Catholic Church Limuru. Prayers and funeral arrangements are being held daily in her farm in Kihingo Village from 5pm. The cortege will leave Uplands Funeral Home on 23/2/2017 to St Francis of Asisi Catholic Church. Thereafter, the burial will be at her Kihingo farm.
