We celebrate the Life of Francis Ndung’u Macharia (formerly of Limuru Milk Processors) who went to be with the Lord on February 2017. Son of the late Macharia wa Gichure and the late Jane Ngonyo Macharia. Beloved husband of Sophia Wanjiku Ndung’u. Doting father of Hottensia Wairimu Ndung’u (Botswana), Mary Ndung’u, Esther N. Ndung’u, Irene N. Ndung’u, Nancy Wanjiru, Florence Njambi Githinji (Bi), Nathan Macharia and John Kieya. Grandfather of Lilian Wanjiku (Bua), Sophia, Lulu, Jonathan, Benji, Andrew, Gathia N and J. Gathia. Father-in-law of Michael Githinji (Paa, Matasia). Brother of Elizabeth Njoki Gikonyo, the late Joseph Mwangi, Stephen Njamba and Lucy Wainaina. Step brother of Joseph Mwangi, Jane Njoki, the late Geoffrey Mwangi, the late Loise Wairimu, Ayubu and the late Hannah Wanjiru Samson. Prayers are being held at his home in Ngarariga (behind shopping centre), Limuru from 4 pm daily. The cortege leaves Uplands Funeral Home on Friday 10th February at 9:00 am for a requiem mass at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church Ngarariga at 12:00 noon and thereafter burial at his farm in Gitogothi, Limuru.
