Son to the late Simon Warunge and the late Eva Nyambura Warunge of Karura Village, Kiambu County. Step son to the late Wanjeri Warunge and Loise Njeri Warunge. Son- in-law to Edwin Mbugua Gikonyo and the late Zipporah Njeri Mbugua.

He is survived by his wife Anne Ng’ethe, daughter Tara Ng’ethe-Gichane, Son-in-law George Gichane Guthaiya, sons Adam Ng’ethe and Peter Mbugua Ng’ethe. He was a doting Grandfather to Mickey and Milan Gichane.

He was a sibling to the late Kamau, the late Eunice Nyingi, Eliud Kihara, the late Beth Kahiri, Rachel Kamau, David Kamau, Anne Komba, Grace Wanjiku, Lucy Nyariara, Susan Munyinyi, Allan Kamau, the late Winnie Muthoni, Rachel Kingara, Kenneth Mungai, Owen Ngethe, Nicholas Njoroge & Carol Wangari. He was also a fond brother-in-law, uncle, grandfather, great grandfather and friend to many.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday 20th May 2017 at Lavington Primary School in Nairobi at 2.00pm.

Loving mother of Ndumba, Dr. Kimathi, the late Mwiti, Nangithia, Kirinya, Nkatha, Rugendo, the late Mwenda, Kinyua, Kagwiria Mbogori and Mercy Mbogori.
