Mr. Lawrence Gatonye Muthoni

It is with the humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the sudden death of Mr. Lawrence Gatonye Muthoni (formerly of Telkom Kenya) a resident of Kahawa West, Nairobi County, after a short illness. He was the son of Julia Muthoni Gatonye of Olkalou, Nyandarua County, husband to Elder joyceWangari Gatonye (RC.E.A Kahawa West) and father of Morris Kihara (Ruiru), Edwin Ngaruiya (Dimension Data) and Daniel Mbugua (USIU-Africa). He was brother to Henry Njenga (Kenya Power), James Mbugua (01 Kalou), Catherine Mukuhi (Nairobi) and Caroline Wanjiku (Nairobi), Son-in-law of the late Mr and Mrs Morris Kihara and Mary Njoki Kihara (Gatundu) and brother-in-law to Samuel Gathenge (Gatundu), Stephen Kibathi (Nkoroi), Stanley Kimotho (Ngenda), Alice Waiharo (Kahugu-ini), Margaret Kibe (Ololua), Lawrence Gatonye Simon Mbugua (01 Keri) and Salome Kang’ara (Mukurweini). Muthoni Friend and family of Lawrence are meeting daily for prayers and funeral arrangements at his home in Kahawa West estate from 6.30 pm and at his home in 01 Kalou, Nyandarua county from 3.00 Pm.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Funeral Home on Wednesday 17/05/2017 at 7.00 a.m. Funeral service will be held at RC.E.A 01 Kalou mother church from 11.00 a.m followed thereafter by the burial at his home in 01 Kalou South, Munyeki location in Nyandarua County. Esther Wanjiru Mwaura (Wandirangu)

It is with deep sadness, but humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of our beloved mum Esther Wanjiru Mwaura on 8th May, 2017. She passed on peacefully at her home in Gitiha village, Githunguri.

Beloved wife of John Mwaura Njau. Mother of Geoffrey Ndirangu and Cecilia Wanjiru, James Njau (late) and Hannah Njeri, Simon Kiarie and Jane Wangari, David Muigai and Naomi Wanjiru, Mary Njeri and the late David Ndung’u, Johnson Ngarari and Jane Shilalo, George Ngatia and Rose Wanjiku, Hannah Wanjiku and Francis Ng’ang’a, Jane Nyambura and Michael Githua, Veronica Musembi and Boniface Musembi, Naomi Nduta and Muigai Komu. Grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother of many.

Friends and family are meeting at her home in Gitiha village from 5pm daily. The cortege will leave Mukoe funeral home, Githunguri town, at 8am on Wednesday, 17th May, 2017. The funeral service will take place at Gathangari A.I.P.C.K church at 9:30am, followed by burial at her home in Gitiha village.

Loving wife of John Kamonjo Ngeru, beloved daughter of the late Muoni Nderebe and late Monica Muringi Muoni of Othaya, Nyeri. Loving mother of Naftaly Ngeru (JKUAT), Catherine Wangari (St Francis Girls’, Mang’u) and Jeremy Muoni (River Road School, Othaya). Sister of Charles Nderebe, Ngatia Muoni (Istanbul Bar, Othaya), Lucy Wanjiru (Sweden), Nancy Nyarima Wambugu, late Eshiphan Kahuthia, Wanjohi Muoni and Rhoda Wanjiru Kahuthia (Kagicha Dispensary). Daughter-in-love of Paramount Chief Naftali Ngeru and Catherine Wangari of Kanyenyaini, Murang’a. Sister in love of Rose Ngatia, Anthony Wambugu Gitahi, Grace_Wairimu (Grawatex, Othaya), Mary Muthoni Ngeru (Karugia Sec. School), Phyllis Wangechi and Peter Njoguini (Gathiruini Sec. Relatives and friends are meeting daily at the family home in Kanyenyaini and at Silent Lodge, Othaya (7pm daily). The cortege leaves Kiriaini Mission Hospital Mortuary on Tuesday 16th May 2017 at 8.30 am, followed by a funeral service at ACK. St Jame’s Church, Kanyenyaini at 10.00 am. Thereafter, the burial will be held at the family home in Kanyenyaini.

Owen Collins Ng’ethe Warunge

It is with great sadness that we inform you of the death of our beloved Owen Collins Ng’ethe Warunge. He was cremated on 10th May 2017.

Son to the late Simon Warunge and the late Eva Nyambura Warunge of Karura Village, Kiambu County. Step son to the late Wanjeri Warunge and Loise Njeri Warunge. Son- in-law to Edwin Mbugua Gikonyo and the late Zipporah Njeri Mbugua.

He is survived by his wife Anne Ng’ethe, daughter Tara Ng’ethe-Gichane, Son-in-law George Gichane Guthaiya, sons Adam Ng’ethe and Peter Mbugua Ng’ethe. He was a doting Grandfather to Mickey and Milan Gichane.

He was a sibling to the late Kamau, the late Eunice Nyingi, Eliud Kihara, the late Beth Kahiri, Rachel Kamau, David Kamau, Anne Komba, Grace Wanjiku, Lucy Nyariara, Susan Munyinyi, Allan Kamau, the late Winnie Muthoni, Rachel Kingara, Kenneth Mungai, Owen Ngethe, Nicholas Njoroge & Carol Wangari. He was also a fond brother-in-law, uncle, grandfather, great grandfather and friend to many.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday 20th May 2017 at Lavington Primary School in Nairobi at 2.00pm.

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Mama Florence Tirindi Mbogori which occured on 13/05/2017 in Nairobi.

Loving wife of the late Eliphelet Mbogori and a daughter of the late Solomon and Selina Magambo of Kionyo, Meru. Sister of Bridget Mugira, the late Nahashon Murungi, Bilha Ngaku, Joan Kaburo, Jedidah Karoki, Dinah Nkoroi, Edward Miriti, the late Mercy Gataru and the late Isabella Naitore Magambo. Loving mother of Ndumba, Dr. Kimathi, the late Mwiti, Nangithia, Kirinya, Nkatha, Rugendo, the late Mwenda, Kinyua, Kagwiria Mbogori and Mercy Mbogori. Mother-in-law of Catherine Kimathi, Margaret Nangithia, Juliet Wanja, Pauline Rugendo, Lucy Mwenda, Judith Kinyua and Ndereba. She is survived by 20 grandchildren.

The cortege will leave Kenyatta University Mortuary on Friday 19th May 2017 at 5:30am to Kithoka, Meru. The funeral service will be held at M.C.K Mwanika Church from 10:00am. Interment will follow at her Ruanguene home immediately thereafter.

Family and friends will meet at the All Saints Cathedral from Tuesday 16th Thursday 18th May 2017 from 5:30 pm and daily at her Ruanguene home in Meru.
