Appreciation

We the family of Elder Peter Nduati Muchogu wish to glorify the Almighty God for the gift of life of the late Peter Nduati Muchogu.

As a family we were deeply humbled and overwhelmed by your prayers, presence, moral and financial support during the demise and send off of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, brother in law, uncle and friend, Peter Nduati Muchogu.

Special thanks to the staff of MP Shah Hosipitai, PCEA Gateway Parish and entire Nairobi North Presbytery, all clergy lead by Rev. Josphine Mutuota, PCEA Evergreen, PCEA kiarutara, PCEA Riandu, organizing committee, relatives, friends and neighbours at both Thome first avenue and Kanjai.

Since it is not possible to name everyone who gave us support and encouragement during this difficult time; please be assured that your input and contribution were highly appreciated.

It feels like just the other day since you left us to be with the Lord. You are dearly missed and your memories are still in our hearts. Not a day goes by that we do not think about you. We thank God for the years He allowed us to share with Catherine and the grace He has given us during the time of grief.

We take this opportunity to sincerely thank everyone who took time to mourn, condole and pray with us following the sudden demise of our beloved Catherine. Your encouragement, messages of condolence, prayers and reassurance gave us strength and comfort. Special thanks to the good Samaritan who rushed the deceased to the hospital, NHC Staff, Organizing Committees in Kasarani, Magomano and All Saints Cathedral, Clergy teams and Christians of ACK Gatumbi, ACK Kasarani (CGS) and Harvesters Global Church.

Since we are unable to thank each person individually, we would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to all our family, relatives, friends, colleagues, neighbours and well-wishers for the prayers and overwhelming support, we felt your physical, emotional /and financial presence. Your generosity and commitment were invaluable in enabling us give Catherine a befitting sendoff. We are grateful to you all, May God bless and meet you at your points of need.

We, the Muburi family would like to thank our large dotting family, relatives, in-laws, neighbors, and friends for your spiritual, financial and other forms of support that you gave during mum’s illness and preparations for her final send off.

Special thanks to St. Joseph Catholic Church (Koinange) Karati South Kinangop, the church choir, Fr. James Gichuru of Miguta Parish, Fr. Simon Mwangi of Njabini Parish, the catechist team, Mr. & Mrs. Muchai, Rev. Joyce Muraya of ACK St. Marks Church Nairobi, the pastoral team at Nairobi Chapel (NCWW), and all those who assisted in our dear mum’s funeral mass.

We would also like to sincerely thank our Master of ceremony, Mr. Raphael Hungi, Assistant Chief, Mr. Nguiyai, the Kahungu family and the entire Karati community who joined us in the final send off ceremony. We would like to extend our gratitude to the team who looked after mum when she was ill; the doctors and staff at MP Shah Hospital, Apollo hospital Ahmedabad India and Aga khan Hospital, Dr. Nafula, Dr. Mbugua, Dr. Kibaya, Dr. Chirag Shah and Dr. Desai. To all of you a big thank you.

As we are not able to reach each one of you in person, we wish to use this forum to express our utmost gratitude for your support. Please continue praying for us as we come to terms with a new normal in our family which excludes the physical presence of our mum.

Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

14th July should be your 66th birthday. Cancer cut you off 4 years less God’s mark of 70. I thank God your spirit is free and at peace from the excruciating pain of October 2018 to March 15th 2019. I miss you but grateful for the Wisdom and life lessons you gave me and the family which are now very useful. Tears still flow but we are learning to cope without you as head, husband father and uncle. Nind gi kwe wuod Achwal.
