Words cannot express our feelings and gratefulness to all who stood by us, overwhelming us with kindness, generosity, sympathy and comfort during our hour of need.

Special mention goes to; The clergy of ACK, ACC&S and Catholic Churches for leading evening prayers, memorial and funeral services.

Appreciation

We the family of Mr Joshua Weru Ichang’I wish to thank you all most sincerely for standing with us during the bereavement of our Beloved Mother and Matriach Mrs Miriam Nyathogora Ichang’i.

We are greatly humbled and appreciative for the support and comfort you gave us by way of prayers, visitation, telephone calls, messages of condolences, financial assistance, and encouragement to the family during this time of mourning.

We are extremely grateful to the Moderators, Ministers, Elders, Deacons, Districts 13, 17, and Kimathi A, Alliance Girls High School (AGHS) Band, Students and Alumni, Friends, Choirs, and Members of the Presbyterian Church of East Africa (PCEA), St. Andrews Parish, Nairobi and PCEA Nyamachaki Parish in Nyeri Municipality, who all came to condole us and participate in the wonderful Memorial and Burial Services held on 1st November and 3rd November 2017 respectively.

In this regard, we wish to sincerely appreciate the comforting and encouraging messages from the Word of God brought to us by Rev. Peter Kariuki during the Memorial Service at PCEA St.Andrews Church, Nairobi and Rev. Dr. Charles Ndanyu at PCEA Nyamachaki Church in Nyeri during the Burial Service. We most sincerely thank all you who took time to come and join us in celebrating the life and times of Mrs. Miriam Nyathogora lchang’i. Our sincere gratitude also goes to those responsible for the most beautiful and wonderful floral tributes and arrangements placed in both Church sanctuaries and at home.

The family wishes to especially thank the Nyeri and Nairobi planning committees and our Chairman Dr. Peter Wanyaga Muthoka, who put in substantial time and resources to ensure that everything ran smoothly.

Since it is not possible to thank all of you in person, kindly accept this message as an expression of our very sincere appreciation and gratitude to you all for your invaluable support, kindness and generosity that enabled us all to give a most befitting and memorable send-off to our Beloved Mother and Matriarch Mrs. Miriam Nyathogora Ichang’i.

Appreciation

We, the family of the late PerisWanpru Kahuko thank God for the gift of Chiru for 52 years and for Chiru’s example to us all of a life lived in Faith, love, and dedication.

We are grateful to all who supported Peris during her illness and thereafter supported our family through prayers, visits, calls and texts during the difficult period after her passing away, and for your love, kindness, and generous contributions towards her funeral arrangements.

We would wish to express our special thanks and gratitude to the following:

Archbishop Anthony Muheria of the Nyeri Archdiocese, Archbishop Emeritus Peter Kairu of Nyeri; Auxiliary Bishop David Kamau of Nairobi; Fr Eric Mairura of Don Bosco Community, Father in Charge Limuru Parish Fr Ngoe, and all other priests in Limuru Parish, the resident Priest Nairobi Hospital and all clergy who celebrated Mass for Chiru and prayed for the family.

Dr Gladwell Kiarie; Senior Nurse Laban Kangethe, Sister Magdalene and the staff from Nairobi Hospital, who attended to Chiru during the course of her treatment. Grace Ngare, Jackeline Amugada, and Agnes Munyingi for their selfless care and support of Peris during her illness.

The UAP Team in Kenya and Rwanda, the Nyandarua County Assembly office; the Chief and local administration at Karabaini sub-location in Limuru, the funeral committee; our neighbours at Limuru and in Nairobi; the Limuru Jumuiya of Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque; our extended family; and all friends of Chiru and the entire family in Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and elsewhere in the Diaspora.

Since it may not be possible to name each and all of you, we wish to extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who supported us in any way and for joining us in giving Peris such a glorious send off.

May God bless you all richly. Chiru, in God’s hands you rest, in our hearts you live forever.

We were overwhelmed by the kindness, generosity and support given to us during the funeral arrangements, and upto laying her to rest. Since it is not practical to mention each one of you by name, kindly accept our sincere gratitude to all of you for the support and condolence messages. May God bless you abundantly.

Our heartfelt gratitude goes to Dr. Wachira and his team of Doctors, and Nurses at Vineyard Hospital, Thika for the care and treatment given to the late Mrs. MaryAnne Muthoni. We also wish thank the team at Mary Help of the Sick Hospital, Thika forthe support given to the family.

To our Mother’s friends in Kamenu and the neighbours who answered the distress call, we say thank you very much. Special thanks go to Francis Ngatia, Hilary Kibathi, Mama Wambui, Mama Gachoka, Sophie Avedi and the Committees for their tireless effort to ensure seamless funeral arrangements.

We also wish to thank Father Wamuguda, Father Mwaura and St. Achilleus Kiwanuka Catholic Choir, Kiganjo, Thika for the funeral service and prayers for the family. We also wish to thank all the family members from Gatundu and Kangema for their immense support given to us. For all the friends who came to assist us namely The Usuals Group led by Louisa Mugoh,Thika Road group at Bullpoint led by Michael Kimani, Kamenu Friends, Kinyangi Friends, Saurus Networks, Blessings Revival Makongeni and many others, we say thank you very much.
