We, the family of the late Gilbert Kabeere M’Mbijjewe, EGH, wish to express our sincere gratitude for the prayers, words of encouragement, time, logistical, emotional and financial support given selflessly by so many. The Kenyan and Christian spirit of community is still truly alive and evident.

Special mention goes to Dr. Mugwe and Dr. Ndonye for the years of excellent care, and to the staff of Nairobi Hospital, Nairobi Women’s Hospital and St. Theresa’s Hospital. The clergy led by Bishop Lawi lmathiu and Rev. John Maromba of MCK who spiritually nurtured us during this period.

The leaders and members of funeral committees in Nairobi, Meru town, Nkubu, Marimba and Mitunguu who selflessly gave of their time and resources and oversaw a well organised and dignified farewell for our dearly departed. We are very grateful to you all.

We were touched by the President Uhuru Kenyatta’s message of condolence and political leaders Gov. Kiraitu Murungi, CS Mwangi Kiunjuri, CS Jacob Kaimenyi, Hon. Joe Nyagah, Hon Kathuri Murungi, Hon Mugambi Rindikiri, amongst others, who honored Mzee’s achievements and memory with their tributes, contributions and presence. Dear relatives, in-laws, friends and colleagues who shared our sorrow and spared no effort in coordinating affairs at hand.

As it is not possible to mention everyone by name, all concerned please accept our deepest thanks. No good turn goes unrewarded.

We the family of Mr Joshua Weru Ichang’I wish to thank you all most sincerely for standing with us during the bereavement of our Beloved Mother and Matriach Mrs Miriam Nyathogora Ichang’i.

We are greatly humbled and appreciative for the support and comfort you gave us by way of prayers, visitation, telephone calls, messages of condolences, financial assistance, and encouragement to the family during this time of mourning.

We are extremely grateful to the Moderators, Ministers, Elders, Deacons, Districts 13, 17, and Kimathi A, Alliance Girls High School (AGHS) Band, Students and Alumni, Friends, Choirs, and Members of the Presbyterian Church of East Africa (PCEA), St. Andrews Parish, Nairobi and PCEA Nyamachaki Parish in Nyeri Municipality, who all came to condole us and participate in the wonderful Memorial and Burial Services held on 1st November and 3rd November 2017 respectively.

In this regard, we wish to sincerely appreciate the comforting and encouraging messages from the Word of God brought to us by Rev. Peter Kariuki during the Memorial Service at PCEA St.Andrews Church, Nairobi and Rev. Dr. Charles Ndanyu at PCEA Nyamachaki Church in Nyeri during the Burial Service. We most sincerely thank all you who took time to come and join us in celebrating the life and times of Mrs. Miriam Nyathogora lchang’i. Our sincere gratitude also goes to those responsible for the most beautiful and wonderful floral tributes and arrangements placed in both Church sanctuaries and at home.

The family wishes to especially thank the Nyeri and Nairobi planning committees and our Chairman Dr. Peter Wanyaga Muthoka, who put in substantial time and resources to ensure that everything ran smoothly.

We, the family of the late PerisWanpru Kahuko thank God for the gift of Chiru for 52 years and for Chiru’s example to us all of a life lived in Faith, love, and dedication.

We are grateful to all who supported Peris during her illness and thereafter supported our family through prayers, visits, calls and texts during the difficult period after her passing away, and for your love, kindness, and generous contributions towards her funeral arrangements.

We would wish to express our special thanks and gratitude to the following:

Special thanks to Dr. Reena, Dr. Riunga, Professor Khainga and Dr. Matende for the tireless efforts in treating Mzee, the Aga Khan University Hospital Nairobi Management, the entire medical and nursing team of Intensive Care Unit, High Dependency Unit and Surgical Ward for their care, empathy and attention during Mzee’s prolonged stay there. Thank you too to the entire management and medical team of Mediheal Hospital & Fertility Centre, Eldoret for their support during Mzee’s initial hospitalization together with the Red Cross Ambulance service that facilitated his swift transfer from Eldoret to Nairobi.

We would also like to express our eternal gratitude for all those who were called upon to donate blood during Mzee’s hospitalization and with special mention to Tom Gitembe of KK Guards stationed at the HDU Ward in AKUH.

We would also like to thank the Cabinet Secretary Najib Balala and Permanent Secretary Fatuma Hirst for supporting the family during our bereavement, all funeral committees is Nairobi, Uasin Gishu arid Nandi counties together with all those who contributed time, resources and prayers during the fundraising for funeral and medical costs.
