We, the family of Larry Sewe-Oloo, wish to acknowledge and express our heartfelt appreciation to all those who stood with us following his sudden demise, through to the final send off and thereafter. We were deeply touched by your prayers, words of encouragement, acts of kindness, physical visits and financial/material support. All your support in his honour touched and blessed us deeply and we will forever be indebted to you.

Special appreciation goes to St Paul’s University Chapel, Friends of St Jude (FOSJ), Hekima University, Strathmore University, Daystar University, St Austin’s Academy, Eastern Africa Standby Force, The Nairobi Cycling Club, Pine Breeze community, the Kenyan Embassy in India, Kenya Airways, St Mary’s Kwale Old Boys Association (SAMAKOBA), ‘Friends of Larry’ group, the Funeral Committee and all our friends.

We also extend gratitude to Dr Were, Dr Musoke and all medical staff of Maia Carberry Ward, Nairobi Hospital for the effort made in trying to save Larry’s life.

Since it is not possible to mention every person who played a role, we humbly request that you accept this message as our heartfelt appreciation to each one of you. May the almighty God bless all of you abundantly.

The Bowry families in Kenya, England, Germany and Canada wish to announce the death of Mr. M. G. Bowry (Masterji) on 16/11/17 in Leicester and his cremation thereafter on 25/11/17.

Mr. Bowry was a teacher in Nakuru during the years 1947 to 1976 and thereafter worked for Leicester University.

We wish to acknowledge the overwhelming support and expression of sympathy, love and good wishes from relatives, neighbours, friends and well-wishers. We were touched by the numerous visits, prayers, phone calls, texts, emails, condolence cards and words of sympathy which provided great comfort during our time of sadness and sorrow.

We are greatly indebted to his extended family and his former students who travelled to England to pay their last respects.

We wish to express our gratitude to the medical staff and team of doctors at the Leicester Royal Infirmary for all the assistance given during his brief illness endured bravely.

We the family of the late Nancy Nyambura Kiragu, who passed away on the 2nd of November, 2017 in the USA, wish to express our deep appreciation for the messages of condolences, material support and outpouring grief during the period of funeral arrangements.

Special note is made to Brian Kiragu and Kihiu Kiragu together with their friends in the USA for keeping vigil at the hospital during her last few days. Our heartfelt gratitude goes to all those friends in the diaspora who took time off their busy schedules to sit by her bedside and attend to her in the hour of need and who also donated generously to meet a significant part of the funeral expenses.

It is worth mentioning the Australian connections who greatly supported Mugure Kiragu and the family during this period.

Special compliments go to the local funeral organizing committee ably led by Professor J.H. Kimura. The sense of leadership displayed by Tony Mwangi, Julius Macharia, Judge Lee Muthoga, Eng. Daniel Njora, Mrs. Charity Muthoga and Bilha Maina amongst others could not be taken for granted.

Much appreciation goes to the Reverend Geoffrey Njenga of ACK — All Saints Cathedral for agreeing to grace the occasion at a short notice.

Many well wishers donated both material, time and prayers. As it is not possible to mention all of you by name or group, please accept our sincere gratitude for your immense support.

We, the family of the late Godfrey Mate Mwaniki wish to thank our family, friends, neighbors and colleagues for standing with us during illness, subsequent demise, funeral arrangements and final send off our beloved husband, father and grandfather.

Promoted to glory on 18th October, 2017

It is now a month ago since his demise on 18th October, 2017.The entire Kilima family wishes to most sincerely thank all Friends, Relatives, Colleagues and all well wishers for your emotional and material support as we made arrangements and finally laid to rest our beloved father Mzee Gibson Kilima Mwawasi on 28th October, 2017 at his Mwaminjwa home in Tausa, Mbololo in Taita Taveta County.

It was indeed a moment of sorrow and profound sadness, but your presence, words, messages, hugs, and encouragement made it bearable.

There are those who knew him and interacted with him and there are those who knew us, but never met him or interacted with him. Well he was a great man and a great dad. Through your support he got a befitting send off.

May God bless all of you for your kindness.

We are most thankful to God the Father who gave us our Dad for 81 years.

May our Dad’s soul rest in eternal peace with the angels .
