We, the family of the late Cynthia Wairimu Kamau wish to express our heartfelt and sincere gratitude to all our relatives, friends, the Nazarene Gardens Residents neighbourhood and entire Ongata Rongai Community for the great support extended to us following her sudden death through a tragic road accident. We extend our special gratitude to the St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Ole Kasasi led by Fr. Mboche, all the clergy and the St. Monica Small Christian Community for the daily visits and prayers. We convey special thanks to the staff of the Parliamentary Service Commission, the various parliamentary groups for your daily visits, prayers and overwhelming support. We particularly thank the Clerk of the National Assembly, Mr. Michael Sialai for visiting and condoling with the family.

We acknowledge and register our appreciation to the funeral organizing committee led by Chairman Irungu Kigundu for the befitting send-off accorded to our beloved Cynthia. As it is not possible to mention everyone, kindly accept this as our humble gratitude, to all who visited, prayed and supported us in any way, we thank and wish you God’s blessings:

Cynthia, your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure, you are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure. May your soul rest in eternal peace and may perpetual light shine upon you. Amen!

We are deeply thankful for your kind gestures, prayers, words of encouragement, moral support, which helped us gracefully, embrace the moment as tough as it was.

It is one year since you went to be with the Lord. You are still in our hearts and you are fondly remembered by your sons and daughters, friends and relatives.

We also appreciate all those who joined us during the difficult period following the demise of our dear mum. We thank the ACK Church – Mumias Diocese, Mothers’ Union, both Eshiakhulo Primary and Secondary schools’ administration, the local community and neighbours for their presence, empathy and kind support.

We thank God for having given us a dedicated and loving mother for all those years.

We, the family of Dr. Samuel Muchai Kinyanjui wish to express our heartfelt and sincere gratitude for the unreserved support you gave to us spiritually, emotionally, materially and financially during the period of sickness and eventual rest of our beloved Dr. Samuel Muchai Kinyanjui.

We extend our thank you to those who telephoned, sent tributes and condolence messages, visited us at home in Nairobi and Eldoret and those who travelled to be with us. We thank those who worked tirelessly to ensure that the Ceremony – A Celebration of His Life – was indeed an amazing expression of a Life Well Lived and the final journey to Dr. Samuel Muchai’s resting place, was befitting of the man he was and a glimpse of the legacy he left.

Our sincere gratitude to the specialist physicians who went over and above their call of duty and provided the best care possible in and out of hospital to Dr. Samuel Muchai Kinyanjui. We gained a greater understanding and appreciation of the medical profession through our journey with you and will forever hold you in the highest esteem. We extend our thank you to other Doctors and nurses at the Nairobi Hospital-Kenya, the Milpark Hospital-South Africa,The Apollo Hospital-India and the homecare nurses who continued to encourage us and provide professional medical care. Special thanks to the Clergy of the Anglican Church of Kenya and in particular The All Saints Cathedral, St. Mathews Cathedral Eldoret, St. John’s Pumwani and the Mothers Union of St. John’s as well as other Denominations of the Christian faith who stood with us every step of the way providing the much needed spiritual guidance and comfort, your sacrifices remain with us as a reminder of the love of our Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ. We truly appreciate the Committees in Nairobi, in Eldoret and all Government officials who not only facilitated our requests but also patiently assisted us with the relevant government procedures to ensure seamless flow of transactions.

We convey our humble appreciation to His Excellency The President, His Excellency The Deputy President, First Lady Mama Ngina Kenyatta among other dignitaries for their generous hand of support. To our relatives both near and far your prayers, encouragement and continued support was greatly appreciated and welcomed in our time of need. We do not forget those who gave their time and energy in any way to make our journey through this time as uneventful as possible.

Lastly, to our friends who gave their unequivocal support, no words can express the deep appreciation we felt during this journey.
