The family of the late Mzee Robert Macharia Muthama (Proprietor of Robert Muthama & Co, Ltd) wish to express our appreciation for your kind thoughts and expressions of sympathy during this difficult period. Your support in his honor touched and blessed us deeply. We could not have done it alone.

Of great comfort during our sorrow were the expressions of sympathy conveyed to us in many ways, all the work you all put in diligently and tirelessly to ensure Mzee had an amazing memorial service and a decent send off. We appreciate all your thoughtfulness and thank you most sincerely.

Our special thanks go to Father Joseph Kamau Bosco of Holy Family Parish, Utawala, Reverend Henry Kissinger Orumoi and the entire St. John Apostles Rongai Clergy and all the clergy from various denominations who offered prayers, spiritual counsel and services at the funeral. Your guidance is so appreciated.

We truly appreciate the funeral organizing committee chaired by Mr. Paul Njau in Nairobi who patiently assisted us to seamlessly have a good send off for Mzee Robert.

To our relatives, your prayers, encouragement and continued support was greatly appreciated and welcomed in this time of need. We do not forget those who gave their time and energy in any way to help us through this hard time.

Special thanks to our USA family of friends and relatives for their support during this journey. You are a true family.

A year has passed yet seems like yesterday, the vacant gap you left cannot be filled. We will always fondly cherish your love, sacrifice, kindness, guidance, caring and forgiving virtues. Our memories of you have not faded but instead become stronger and more colourful due to God’s continued grace upon our lives. You are missed in ways that cannot be told but we are grateful for the time we shared in your life.

We remember the many who visited, called, prayed, assisted financially, provided much needed counsel, made tea or just held our hands and lent a shoulder. Asante sana from the depth our hearts it all made a difference and lightened the load. We will like to specially mention both Nairobi and Ebusikhale funeral/ burial committee headed by Mr. Darlington Otiato and Mr. Tom Ocholla, Both Kaloleni and Epang’a Church of God, Staff & Management of the Kenya Power and lighting Company, Jamaa Hospital, Motezuma Monelissa Mortuary, Vihiga County government and the security team.

Dearly missed by your lovely wife (Rose Omukhango), Children (Margaret, Richard & Linet), your Mother & Mother-in-law (Linet Eyahonga & Floridah Mahali), Brothers, Sisters, Nephews/nieces, all relatives and friends.

There will be a memorial service on Saturday 14th October, 2017 at 10.00 A.M at his home Ebusikhale Epang’a Luanda Sub County of Vihiga County.

We, the family of Teacher Esther Gaceke Thinwa, wish to express our heartfelt and sincere gratitude to the Almighty God for the life of our remarkable and loving mum, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, auntie and friend. She was truly a blessing to many. We wish to express our deep appreciation for the prayers, words of comfort, love, physical presence, time, encouragement, financial & emotional support from our family, relatives, neighbours and well wishers who stood by us during the difficult time of hospitalization, demise and final send off of our Beloved Mum.

We also thank Dr Githegi, Dr Brenda , Dr Ngugi, Dr Wala, Dr. Kiarie and all the doctors and nurses who took care of mum during her hospitalization while at The Aga Khan Hospital and Avenue Hospital.

To the clergy led by Bishop Musili of Around the Globe Deliverance Church, Pastor Rev. John Njogu of Full Gospel Church Lusoi, Rev. Githaiga of Baptist Church, and all Lusoi Christians, we thank you immensely for your spiritual nourishment and support that kept us going.

However, every day, we are quickly reassured and consoled that your eternal dream and daily prayer was fulfilled, seeing God face to face, and watching over us from up yonder. You left us fond memories and your love and principles continue to guide us.

Dearly missed by your loving wife Colletta Njoki, cherished by your daughters and sons, Elizabeth & Joseph, Karenge & Elizabeth,Anne & Wachira, Joseph & Esther, Paul & Irene & Luke; grandchildren and fondly remembered by your family, friends and relatives. We thank the Almighty God for the time he allowed us to share with you. The loss is immeasurable but so is the love you left us with; deep in our hearts you will stay loved and missed beyond measure. We , the family of the late Governor Nderitu Gachagua & the late Mzee Geoffrey Karungaru wish to express our sincere and heartfelt appreciation for your prayers, presence, moral and material support as well as kind messages as we mourned & laid to rest little angel Willie.

We are indeed very grateful to all our friends, relatives & especially to our relatives from Kitale and well wishers for the overwhelming support provided during this so very trying time when Darling little Willie was attacked & mauled to death by dogs. Words cannot adequately express our appreciation. Shukrani tele kwenyu wote!

Special thanks go to the staff of ICU Outspan Hospital-Nyeri & to Dr. Mbuthia in particular, who tried their best to resuscitate him but God had other plans. We would also wish to thank Her Excellency Mama Margaret Kenyatta, the County Government of Nyeri lead by the Governor & Deputy Governor, the spouses of Governors lead by H.E Jane Wairia, the spouses of members of parliament (nalsa) led by Mrs Jackie Kiaraho, Maendeleo ya Wanawake led by the Chair Rahab Mwikali.

The OCPD Nyeri Central, the scenes of crime inspector & all the police officers who responded very promptly. Special thanks to the boda boda riders outside Nyeri Technical who were the first to respond to our call for help, to Dedan Kimathi University students led by Sarah Machio, Nyeri youth leaders led by Oswago, Karatina stage youths led by Wabechu, all Karatina women led by Jane (nyina wa njihia) Muchiru wumani na atumia a Cheru na Mathira o hadu ya ruuma. Special thanks to all the late Governor’s friends led by Mwai Mathenge and Hon. Mwangi Kiunjuri for being friends in deed. “Ngai amwonekanire inyuothe ni wendo wanyu mungi”.

Our heartfelt gratitude to St. Cuthbert-Nyeri and Kiamwangi PCEA churches who were by our side from the first day to the final day, to Rev. Lucy PCEA Imani, Rev. Mwikumi, Rev. Our special appreciation goes to Dr. Kiruhi, Dr. Kibe, Physiotherapist Muturi and nurses that have been treating and attending to mother’s needs in various hospitals such as Outspan, Mater, Nairobi and DM1. We wish to also appreciate Dr. Kinyua who has been seeing our mother at home.

Similarly, we are most grateful to Madam Wairimu, and her daughter, Njeri, who took care of our mother and showed her uncommon love. We also wish to thank the Woman’s Guild; P.C.E.A. Kaigonde Church; P.C.E.A. Bahati Martyrs’ Parish; P.C.E.A. Kasarani Parish; P.C.E.A. Kanderendu Church; Trinity Chapel—Ruiru, International Christian Centre; CITAM, and the Clergy for the great support and embrace of our burden in our moment of sorrow.
