We express immense gratitude to the medical fraternity of Mediheal Hospital (Parklands), led by the lead consultant Dr. Mahapatra who walked with him during his sickness until his demise

Special appreciation goes to the funeral organizing committees, of Nairobi and Maragua for their support in organizing and coordinating the funeral arrangements.

Special thanks to Ridgeways Baptist Church Pastoral team and members for the prayers, words of comfort, officiating evening prayer sessions and the funeral service at KUTRRH funeral home.

Thank you for caring enough to come to the funeral and for all the support you showed us. Grief is too heavy to carry alone, and your support helped lighten our load. The care and concern you showed were reminders that Richard touched so many lives in his lifetime. It was very meaningful to us for you to share in our grief. Saying goodbye to a loved one is never easy, and we were deeply moved by your kindness and care which were like a refreshing wind to our saddened spirits.

The Family also wishes to express its gratitude and appreciation to Dr. Paul Wangai Junior-of Aga Khan hospital Nairobi, Dr. Kamau of Kikuyu, Dr. Mary Njoroge of Hurlingham Physiotherapy and Prof. Laura Wanjohi for the care you extended to mom. Special thanks to both Mary of Assumption Catholic Church Umoja 1 and St Thomas Catholic Church, Kimondo for hosting the funeral mass. We sincerely thank the Mary of Assumption & St Stephen Matteus CWA women and St. Andrew Kaggwa Jumuia members (Umoja I) for their prayers, words of comfort and officiating the requiem and funeral masses.

We the family of Paul Charles Gathura, wish to express our appreciation to all who stood with us during the season of our grief and sadness.

We are forever grateful to the entire Gathura family, the entire Kaniu family, relatives, in-laws, friends, business partners, women groups, Woman’s Guild Thindigua Parish, intercessory groups, and other well-wishers who supported us overwhelmingly with prayers, words of comfort, emotional encouragement, precious time, financial and human resources. Special thanks to the funeral committee for their commitment and dedication.

We are also thankful and recognise Mildred Khamete, Bernard Musyoka and David Njung’e for their devoted and diligent service to our dear mum over the years.

We are deeply indebted to The PCEA Thindigua Church, The PCEA Gatina Church, Parklands Baptist Church, Karengata SDA Church, and other spiritual leaders for their spiritual guidance and nourishment. We extend our eternal gratitude to Dr. Manvinder Mann Singh and his team of specialist, ICU/HDU/Accident and Emergency doctors and nurses at M. P. Shah Hospital, Nairobi, who provided diligent and compassionate care to our matriarch throughout her illness.
