The family of the late Richard Kegode Lukuyu, wishes to express immense gratitude to all those who stood by us during our time of sorrow. Thank you for caring enough to come to the funeral and for all the support you showed us. Grief is too heavy to carry alone, and your support helped lighten our load. The care and concern you showed were reminders that Richard touched so many lives in his lifetime. It was very meaningful to us for you to share in our grief. Saying goodbye to a loved one is never easy, and we were deeply moved by your kindness and care which were like a refreshing wind to our saddened spirits.

Special thanks to both Mary of Assumption Catholic Church Umoja 1 and St Thomas Catholic Church, Kimondo for hosting the funeral mass. We sincerely thank the Mary of Assumption & St Stephen Matteus CWA women and St. Andrew Kaggwa Jumuia members (Umoja I) for their prayers, words of comfort and officiating the requiem and funeral masses.

Special thanks to the funeral committee for their commitment and dedication.

We are also thankful and recognise Mildred Khamete, Bernard Musyoka and David Njung’e for their devoted and diligent service to our dear mum over the years.

We are deeply indebted to The PCEA Thindigua Church, The PCEA Gatina Church, Parklands Baptist Church, Karengata SDA Church, and other spiritual leaders for their spiritual guidance and nourishment. We extend our eternal gratitude to Dr. Manvinder Mann Singh and his team of specialist, ICU/HDU/Accident and Emergency doctors and nurses at M. P. Shah Hospital, Nairobi, who provided diligent and compassionate care to our matriarch throughout her illness.
