The loss of a loved one no doubt brings tears to the bereaved, but it is during such times that we come to appreciate the gift of friends and families. Words can’t express our appreciation, to those who have visited, continue to pray with us and have shared words and messages of encouragement They have filled us with love. We cherish each and every moment, each word you’ve shared with us. As the family of Rosemary Njeri Ngugi, we shall remain eternally indebted for the love, emotional, spiritual and financial support you selflessly extended to us.

Special mention goes to: PCEA Rungiri and Utawala Parishes, the Covenant Worship Church Ruai, and the Nairobi Chapel Waiyaki Way – for your pastoral care and constant support; To Dr. Odhiambo, Dr. Kaisha, Dr. Gathuki and the Nairobi Hospital fraternity who took care of mum during her ailment and Nurses Eunice and Marion, and Naomi who undertook homecare diligently and selflessly. Uncles, Aunties and the families of GANEK, the Muhiri’s, friends and colleagues from Dagoretti, TUK (formerly Kenya Poly), Ruai, Parklands Law Class of 2000,Vinjari,Venus, Arkers and Zaburl Groups, Igeria & Ngugi Advocates, Aquinas High School Alumni, Parkwambess and the many we have not mentioned by name – your love and sacrifice keeps us going.

For your prayers, home visits, financial and material support during hospitalization and funeral arrangements.

Thank you for making a very difficult time for us a little bit easier. Everyone was so kind and attentive, and had patience galore. We appreciate your thoughtful and meaningful words at the burial — your words were a source of great comfort to us, during and after this delicate time. You brought light and comfort and we are eternally grateful for that and your friendship too.

You put together a beautiful farewell for our precious Gachanja, where each of you brought something special to make it a beautiful celebration of his life.

The family of Rev. Japhet Miano Mutugi and their extended families in Kirinyaga and Nyeri thank the Almighty God for the precious Gift that was the late Mrs Annah Wambui Miano. Her gracious devoted Christian service left many with long-lasting wonderful memories. Special gratitude goes to Pastor F. K. Wangai and Canon J. S. Mathenge who prayerfully and tactfully broke the sad news to the centenarian Rev. Japhet Miano that his beloved wife of over 70 years had rested in the Lord.

We were greatly humbled by calls, messages and personal visits from in-laws, friends, workmates, neighbours and members of various fellowship. We were spiritually ministered to by amongst others the All Saints Cathedral Church led by Provost Rev. Canon Sam Wainaina, St Stephens Cathedral led by Ven Canon Joshua Omungo and SDA Church Calvary Gardens led by Pastor Samuel Kairiba. Although we may not mention all of you by name, thank you for your spiritual, social and financial support.

Special appreciation goes to the Rt Rev. Joseph Kibuchwa, Bishop of ACK Kirinyaga Diocese who presided over the funeral service and interment assisted by Ven Alexander Cendi of St Pauls Getuya parish,Very Rev. Paul Kariuki Provost of St. Stephens Cathedral, Ven Mary Muringo, Rev Josephine Ngahu, Rev Jackson Wanga and Canon Dr. Moses Mwangi.

Our gratitude goes to doctors, nurses and loving homecare providers with special gratitude to Dr. Paul Wangai of Avenue Hospital, Dr Nguah, Esther-Josephine, Rose, Wanjira, Florence, Joyce, Beth, Meni and Nathan. The efficient planning of Committees In Nairobi led by Gerald Mugo and in Kirinyaga led by Canon Jason Mwanil and Francis Mutugi culminated in a service reminding us of the blessed hope in Christ.
