Appreciation

We the family of the late Charles Ngugi Kariuki (Professor CN) would wish to thank the Almighty God for the gift of life of our son, husband, dad, grandfather and the gift of sharing numerous wonderful moments with him; so much he has accomplished. We wish to convey our sincere gratitude and appreciation to our family members, friends and everyone who stood with us during this difficult period; for every prayer, thought, phone call, message of condolence and hope, encouragement and financial support we can never be thankful enough.

Our special thanks goes to The Aga Khan University Hospital Nairobi fraternity who took care of him up to his last minute, Hon. David Murathe, Hon. Ukur Yattani (CS Treasury), Hon. Nelson Gaichuhie (CAS Treasury), Hon. Peter Kenneth, Hon. Joseph Nduati (MP Gatanga). Our spiritual leaders Rev. Fr. Wanyokie; for leading and ministering at the funeral service befitting a great send off for our beloved dad, Fr. Hunia and Rev. Kamande (PCEA Evergreen) for your prayers and standing with us, we are forever grateful To the University of Nairobi fraternity lead by Prof. Mirie, Prof. Mbeche and Dr. and Mrs. Kiruthu, and University of Nairobi Alumni lead by Mr.Wangombe and Barasa; what can we say, you made CN, for sure we will forever be indebted, God bless you. Dr. Martin Wanyokie, Dr. Anthony Ndungu, Caring Families(CF), Mugu Gake, Safari 8,Webb Unity, Fiesta Pal, Base Root, Veteran, Mbari ya Mwennda (aceera clan), Kegio Wendi Mwega, Nairobi Committee under Raphael Mucangi (Boncy). Thank you very much for committing your time, ideas and resources. God bless you abundantly for your support Friends of Wangui, Kariuki and Nduta; for sure you all touched our hearts as a family, the support you accorded to us was so immense, kindly receive our Asante.

CN leaves behind his mother Martha Wangui, step mother Sarah Gathoni; wife Alice Wanjiru, children Varcity Wangui, Husker Kariuki and Mercy Nduta. He was a grandfather to Alice Neema, Samantha Wanjiru, Teresa Zadie, Ivy Murugi and Zoey Wanjiru and father In law to Bruno Falempin and Lydia Wambui. He was an uncle, friend and mentor to many.

CN, you fought the good fight, you finished the race and you kept the faith. Rest with the angels till we meet again — 2 Tim 4:7

Appreciation

We, the family of the Late Kevina Akinyi Wepukhulu, wish to thank the Almighty God for the gift of Kevina’s life and the privilege of sharing wonderful memories with her.

We wish to express our heartfelt appreciation to all those who supported us during her sickness and after her passing on helped us give her a befitting sendoff. Special thanks to the funeral committee chaired by Yufnalis Okubo, for their starling performance.

Our profound gratitude goes to the St. Stephens Cathedral (Jogoo Rd) led by The Provost Paul Kariuki Mwangi, Letter H-C fellowship group, the Mothers Union and the Cathedral Choir, St Catherine of Alexandria Catholic church (South C), Fr Pius and Fr. Dominic & Don Bosco (Upper-hill) Choir, St. Paul’s Anglican Church (Kitale Parish) led by the Vicar Rev. Meshack Koskei, the Mothers Union, the choir and Vicar Rev. Jackson Ng’aritai (Kapenguria Parish).

We thank you all for the spiritual nourishment and colourful sendoff of our departed beloved one. Special mention goes to the team of doctors, Prof. S. Puntambaker, Dr. P Govender, Dr. A. Komen, Dr. Ahmed-Nassir Omar, Dr. S. Mukuhi, Dr. K. Warfa & Prof.A. Sayed, Mr. Somesh & Dr. Shyam of Surgi Pharm, among others.

Our heartfelt appreciation goes to the immediate and extended families, former workmates from NIA, KPLC, Group 2 KEBS Staff ; South C 5 Star Phase I Community, Solid Six group; Ababonwe, Sirimba-Hakati & Bamurundi groups; Mail Tatu Sub Location community and its administration, all other groups that participated and to all our friends and relatives. For every prayer, every song, every thought, every phone call, every physical visit, every message of condolence and hope for the generosity, encouragement and kindness shown during this difficult time, we can never thank you enough. Your immense support & compassion carried us through that period and still continues to do so. From your overwhelming support. it’s evident that Kevina’s kindness and smile touched many hearts in a very special way.

No words could ever be enough to express our appreciation for the love and support following her hospitalization, demise and interment on 07/08/2020. You came over to our aid at the time we needed you at most.
