It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the sudden passing of Mzee Elly Meshack Oroni that occurred on 2nd November, 2020.

Son of the late Meshack Olare Oroni and the late Milka Alungatta Oroni. Husband to Peninah Chepkwemoi Oroni. Father to Nathan, Moses, late Roy, George, Tony, late Stephen, late Charles & Philip. Brother to Fred, Eunice & Beatrice. Brother in-law to Late Elizabeth, Chongwony, Late Cheromoi & Lucy. Uncle to Janet & Collins. Grandfather to Silas, Ian, Nimrod,Alvin, Peninnah, Sheila, Elon & Elias.

Funeral service will be held at St Francis ACK Muungano from 3pm on the 13th of November, 2020. Burial will be held on the 14th of November, 2020 at his home in Muungano farm, Trans-nzoia county.

Wife of Bishop Julius Mburu Gathirwa. (Bishop Mt. Kenya Region and Snr. Pastor Eastliegh Sec. 3 and Baraka Local Churches). Daughter of the late Fausto and Laura Nyaga. Daughter-in-law of the late Jason and Phylis Gathirwa. Sister of the late Susan Njura, Clement Thiga, Cyrus Munyi, Jacinta Wandeti, Helen Wamaitha, Savario Ndegwa, Joseph Njuc and John Njuki. Mother of Eva Magiri, Laura Mburu, Eunice Wambui and Joshua Gathirwa. Grandmother of Zeta Murugi. Aunty and Friend to Many.

Friends and family are meeting at her home In Ruiru from 6.30pm and at Sanctuary of Hope; Eastleigh Sect. 3 daily. There will be a funeral memorial service at Worldwide Gospel Church of Kenya Eastleigh Sec. 3 on 15th November, 2020 at 2.00pm. The burial will be held at her family farm in Kiserian on Monday 16th November, 2020 from 11.00am.

We the family of the late Margaret Nyaredo Obath (Sister), wish to thank God for the life he gave her and for the comfort he continues to bestow upon us since her departure.

Daughter of the late Samba Gamaliel Obath and the late Christabel Adhiambo Obath of Gem Wagai. Beloved sister of James and Jane Musita, Patrick and Terry Obath, the late John and Pamela Obath, George Obath, Eng Meshack and Mary Clare Kidenda, Patrick Kondo and the late Mildred Obath-Kondo, Florence Obath, the late Stephen Obath, Irene Obath, Christian and Lilian Samba and Geoffrey Obath. An aunty of Pancy, Andy, Zecky and Grace, Brenda, Cindy and Lindsay, Linda, Leon, Diana and Felix and Marvin, Unique, Rachel, Gideon and Yvonne, Simon and Sheila, Beth, Nick and Blake, Imelda, Sharon, Nigel, Wayne, Christabel and Deborah and John. Grandmother of Tamara, Ayanna, Zuria, Andrew, Adonis and Meshack Kidenda Jr.

In celebration of her life, a memorial service will be held at CITAM Valley Road on Wednesday 18th November 2020 from 11.00am -1.00pm Family and friends are invited to attend the service in celebration of the life of the late Margaret Obath.

We also take this opportunity to extend our sincere and heartfelt gratitude to all the friends of Margaret, colleagues, friends of the family and relatives who supported us through prayer, visits, comforting messages and financial support during her final journey. Special appreciation goes to the staff and management of Kenya National Highways Authority KenHA where Margaret worked until her demise, staff of Mater and Nairobi Hospital ICU units, the team of doctors who attended to her led by Dr. C. K Musau, AVA Nursing Care, Eng. & Dr. Mary Clare Kidenda & family, CITAM Buruburu, The Rotary Clubs in Nairobi, Kisumu and Sagam and all organizations and associations that supported the Obath family through Margaret’s sickness (21st Oct 2019 – 17th Oct 2020), during the funeral arrangements to her internment on 24th Oct 2020. You all touched our hearts in various ways and we humbly request that you accept this appreciation as a sincere expression of our gratitude.

She was the daughter of the late Ephantus Kamau Muchui and the late Joyce Wachu Kamau of Mutarakwa. Beloved wife to Francis Wanguirubi.

Loving mother to Ruth Murphy (Boston USA), Andrew Wanguirubi, Ann Njuguna, Irene Njeri (Luton UK) Nelly Nyaikamba (Mombasa) and Jedidah Gathoni.

Sister to the late Stephen Ngige, Margaret Nyaikamba, the late Mary Waithera, the late Sophia Njeri, the late Lucy Wanjira, the late Michael Ng’ang’a, Ann Nyokabi, the late Jennifer Mumbi and Phyllis Wambui.

Mother in law to Mike Murphey (Boston, USA), Paul Njuguna (Advocate), Susan Wanjiru, Curtis Mbugua (Luton, UK), Stanley Muturi and Peter Kimari Kariuki.

A loving grandmother to Ivy Wangari, Brian Njuguna, Louis Njuguna, Mona Njuguna, Wendy Muturi, Joseline Muturi, Leona Wanjiku, Lewis Njung’e and Latifa Wambui.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily for funeral arrangements at her home in Limuru Manguo village from 4 pm daily and in Nairobi at PCEA St. Andrew’s Church from 5.00 p.m. on 12th, 13th and 16th of November 2020.

The cortege will leave Montezuma Monalisa funeral home tomorrow Wednesday 18th Nov 2020 at 8.00am for a funeral service at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church Limuru Town and thereafter followed by a burial ceremony at her home manguo village Limuru.

Brother of Paul Ngui, late Gideon Sove, the late Wasui, the late Nthangai and the late Muvili. Father-in-law of Hellen Mumbi, the late Grace Nthekani, the late Josephine, Elder Mary Ngula, Rose Mutuku, Mary Joshua, the late Francis Ndima, Wambua Musau, Musyoka Katei (NPS), David Sesi (KDF), Mutuku Sung’wa, among others. Father of Kanyola, Mutua, the late Musau, Muli (Head teacher- Mbyani Primary Sch), Musyoki, Mwikali, the late Tabitha, Mumo, Mutuku, Mueni, Kaveke, Munee, Katunge, Wavinya, Mumbua, Joshua (University of Nottingham-UK), Maingi and Kamene (Fargo Courier). He is blessed with (72) grandchildren among them Grace (USA), Elder James Mbinda (Equity), Geoffrey (NCBA), Mwende Musyoka (KCB), Muema (Kilome MNH), Ambrose (UoN), Nicholas, Mutheu, Munyao, Mumbe, among others. He is also blessed with (71) great-grandchildren and (1) great-great-grandchild.

Burial is set for the 14th day of November, 2020 at his Kikumini home.
