It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of Esther Wangui Karoki which occurred at Nairobi Women’s Hospital-Adams branch on 26th August 2017.

Wife of Henry Karoki Mwangi (Wamwangi Sec. Sch.). Mother of Wanjiru Karoki (R.W. Mbanya Advocates), Lt. Ernest Mwangi (Mariakani) and Jennifer Wambui (NIBS, Ruiru). Daughter of Rachael Wanjiru (Kiambogo). Sister of Virginia Njeri (USA), Robison Gathu (Kiambogo), Johnson Maina (Kamucege), and Sarah Waithera (Gitiha). Mother-in Law of Nelson Nyambuga. Grandmother to Shirley Wangui and Nathan kulima. Daughter in law to the Late Isaac Mwangi and to Agnes Wambui of Gatura. Sister-in-law to Lucy Murugi, Mary Wanjiku, Teresa Wairimu, Monica Njeri, Angeline Muthoni, Peter Mwaura, Daniel Ngugi, Joseph Kamau and David Kabute. A Harambee shall be held offset the Medical bill on 3rd September 2017 at the as Hotel next to Blue Springs Hotel,Thika Road at 2pm.

Famiily, relatives and friends are meeting daily at her home Ruai, Sagas Hotel and Gatura.

Son of Mr Eliud Birgen and Mrs Susan Birgen. Husband of Ednah Chepchumba Birgen and Monicah Chemesunde Birgen. Father of Bill Kipkoech, Bildad Kingetich and Bravine Kimutai. Dear brother of Eunice, the late Kiplagat, Leah, Philip, Lydiah, Pius, Ruth, Emmanuel and Mercy. Son in love of Mr Wilson Rotich and Monicah Rotich. Brother in love of Joyline and Edith.

He will be laid to rest at his home Kaptait Village (Kipsangui) on Friday 01/09/2017.

Loving sister of Joseph Mutua Mwenze, David Mumo Mwenze, the late Mukeli Maki, the late Nzisa Ngali, the late Ngovi Mwenze and the late Kimondiu Mwenze among others. Grandmother of Robert Malusi, Evans Nziula, Nyamai Mwanthi, Singi Kisilu, Muthembwa David, Rhoda Julius and Kambua Moses among others. Mother-in-law of Duncan Singi (Chairman chamber of commerce, Kitui county), Mwanthi Makali (Oil Libya, Kitui), the late Kilonzo Mutunga, Moses Mutie, Lena Malusi, Naomi Nziula and Musangi David among others. In-law of Muthini Singi (Zombe), Muema Mutambuki, the late Mwanza Mbono and Makuthu Kathingo among others.

Family and friends are meeting daily at her home in Ngengi village, Kyanika location, Nzambani subcounty, Kitui county and Moonlight Restaurant Kitui town for burial preparations. The cortege leaves Kitui general hospital mortuary on Saturday 2nd September 2017 at 9:00 am for funeral service at her home in Ngengi village, Kyanika location, Nzambani sub county, Kitui county at 12:00 noon.

The cortege will leave Nyeri Funeral Home on Friday 1/09/2017 at 9.00 am for 10.30 am church service at Mathari Catholic local church and then proceed for burial at his home.

Daughter of the late Kesekwa and the late Marita. Sister of the late Jedida, the late Aseyo, the late Agnetta, the late William and the late John. Wife of the late Pastor Joash Mugedo. A loving mother of the late Norah, Andrew, the late Justo, John, the late Prof. Mugedo, Elisha, the late Jesca, Phanuel and Herbert. Mother-in-law of Mary, the late Margaret, Bilhah, Fatuma, Wanjiku, Abby and Esther. She is survived by 38 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.

The cortege leaves Kaimosi Jumuia Hospital Mortuary on 31st August, 2017 for a church service at Ivona A. D. C church there after a night vigil at her home. She will be laid to rest on Saturday 2nd September, 2017 at Wanondi village,Vihiga County.

Mother to Gabriel Kimani, Peter  Gaitho (Late), Joseph Kuria, Stephen Mwangi, John K. Maina, Margaret Wangari and Teresiah Kariuki. Mother-in-law to Hellen Kimani (Late), Jane Kuria, Margaret Mwangi, Jane Karanja and James Kariuki. She was grandmother to 17 grandchildren and great grandmother to 7 great grandchildren.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at 4.00pm at her home, Kiharo Village, Kariva Sublocation and at St Andrews Church Nairobi from 6pm on Thursday 31 Aug and Friday 1 September, and from 6pm on Thursday 31 August at Buruburu Wab Hotel (Jimlizer). The Cortege leaves Bishop Okoye Funeral Home Thika, at 8.30 am on Saturday 2 September 2017 for funeral services and burial at her home in Kiharo Village, Kariva Sublocation, Kandara District Murang’a County.

The cortege will leave Umash Funeral Home, Mbagathi Way at 6.00am on Tuesday 5th September 2017. The funeral service will be held at Gatiko PCEA church at 9.00am the same day. She will thereafter be laid to rest at her home in Mahigaini village, Gatiko.
